GoofygirlnprincessV - Thanks for sharing your photos they were great. In May we stayed at a deluxe (CR) and loved it. I'm hoping that the POFQ is all I've heard. We may have been spoiled in May.

Thank you so much for the pics, GoofygirlnprincessV. Now I can hardly wait. Actually, I can hardly wait all the time, but now.............. :cool1: :cool1:

I just tried to call the resort with the phone number in this FAQ, and I wanted to let you know that it's wrong. The correct phone number is 407-934-5000. The number up above (407-934-4000) is the number for the Swan and Dolphin! The nice lady there gave me the correct number.

enjoying this thread---going to POFQ for the first time in 11/06. Will be our second trip, first was WL 12/03. WL was terrific but trying to save a bit this time...FQ sounds very relaxed and not too big...

I was wondering how long the boat ride is to Downtown Disney and also driving how long to get to Animal Kingdom lodge and Wilderness lodge for dinner. Any ideas? Also how was shuttle service to the parks?

When we went the one time before, we stayed at WL, which was great...Im looking forward to FQ in November except for--ok, this is kinda dumb--the double bed size. REquested a king, but my TA claimed they were sold out already when I booked. We are me, DH, and 14yo DD.. Im spoiled by a king bed at home, so going all the way to double sounds painful. Thinking about taking a blow up mattress to have just in case its tough to get at all comfortable. Think its true the king rooms are "sold out"???

Thanks so much for posting your pics!

Now my DS wants to know what holiday the resort will be decorated for when we go in January!

Thanks for the pics ,it looks so nice! Cant wait for Nov 06...

Hey heres a wierd question---I know theyll change sheets during your visit if you request , otherwise when you leave, but do they put on fresh blankets and bed spread when you check out? better known as-- before you check in??

anyone have pictures of the king beds?

Agreed - I would also like to find this out.. We are getting the King Bed too. Are they only in certain buildings or are they in all buildings?

Thanks for the pictures.. We are going at the end of feb (27th-march 3rd) and while we aren't "honeymooners" ;) we also don't have any kids. The FQ looks like it can handle all types.. We're really excited ! :groom:

Kapp....I see you have also been to AKL....we have reservations next month at POFQ....which in your opinion is better suited for two boys....6 and 4?

I am all over these boards today trying to make a decision!! Thanks for your input!!!! :wave2:

my kids (8 and 10 yo) loved POFQ... and were disappointed in AKL... we did a split stay so they experienced both... POFQ won hands' down!

Just booked POFQ this morning!! We're going to celebrate my parents 30th wedding anniversary. I've been reading this thread like crazy! Anyone know about how long the walk would be from building 2 to the bus stop? I had read on here that the maps make the resort look bigger than it actually is.

less than 5 minutes. Last trip I was in building 1 and the walk to the bus was like a 2 minute walk.

Less than 5 minutes. We just got back yesterday and we stayed in building #2 on the 3rd floor. It really is a very short walk to everything. We loved it and we are already planning our next stay at POFQ! :cool1:

So happy to be among all these wonderful POFQ fans. Our family fell in love with this resort in Feb 05 and we are going back again (with more family) in Feb 06. We feel like its home to us. We stayed in Building 2, 2nd floor with a view of the pool. My kids absolutely loved it and it was never loud at all. We did love hearing the horses on the cobblestone paths in the evenings. Very quaint.

Our walk from Bldg 2 to Bus stop was about 3-4 minutes. Not far at all. This year we requested Bldg 2 again but we want the courtyard view this time.

Great to hear! My mom has some back issues so I was curious about it since there is enough walking at the parks alone. She really doesn't like me bringing it up as an issue so I'm trying to quietly make things easier on her. She's a tough cookie, very stubborn and refuses to let it interfere in her life. There are times when it gets the best of her for a few days but especially won't let my DD see that it's affecting her.

Enough rambling! Is the hot tub close to the pool? Are there towels at the pool? Also anyone know where I could find a few pics of the playground? Thanks!
