Does any one know what buildings and/or floors king rooms are in/on?

I have a king room booked for March and am trying to decide if I want to request a specific building or not..

Thanks!:thumbsup2

They aren't segregated in any one or two areas. King bed rooms are sprinkled throughout the resort.

The resort is so pleasantly compact that there's no such thing as an inconvenient building.

A few questions:

Do refridgerators come in the rooms or are the extra?

What do you guys know about Scat Cat's? Is it fun? any entertainment Friday nights?

I'm checking in Thursday and a bunch of us are getting together at Scat Cat's Friday night. I'm excited to stay here. The pictures of POFQ are awesome. I don't think I can wait for 4 more days.

Thanks!
Lori

Refrigerators are complimentary (free) in each POFQ room.

I have only briefly stopped by Scat Cats while walking through the lobby, but have read reports from others that its a lot of fun.

Enjoy your trip! I'll be returning there myself in 253 days (but I'm not counting).

Thanks for the pic of the fridge. One place I read said they were in the rooms and someplace else said you had to pay for them.

About whatever place it was that said you have to pay for a fridge at POFQ ... I guess you now know not to trust the information at that site!

Like other posters said, the whole resort is very compact so no building is really that far away from everything, but if you want to be the absolute closest to the food court and the main building request Building 5! Thats where I was for my first trip to POFQ, simply by requesting a king bed, and let me tell you it was the best!

Strictly speaking, the very closest building to the food court is Building 4. It's practically adjacent.

What is the largest container of milk that can fit in those fridges?
Do you think I can get 2 half-gallons to fit?

May 2007 -Garden Grocer delivered 1/2 gal milk -
Two of them - no problem for both of them in fridge. Plus
we added fruit, and soda. We might have taken
the little shelf out, to allow for more heighth.

Thanks, bhk56. That's good to know.
We'll be traveling with my sister and her twin 2 yr. olds, so we'll have plenty of milk on hand between her fridge and mine.

We're thinking of staying at POFQ in June. When is the pool going to be closed?

Also, is there a map of the property somewhere in this thread? I'd like to know which buildings are close to the pool, bus, food, etc.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Here's a link to a map:

The map actually makes the place look big! But it's pleasantly compact. Quick story ....

As a good vacation planner and a good Dad, I spent a lot of time here and elsewhere trying to identify the best area to request a room so that my two little kids and my wife wouldn't have to walk so much and we'd have the most convenient and enjoyable possible vacation.

I also know that requesting your intent rather than requesting a specific building or room will have the best chance of success ... it allows the room assigner to really know what you want (in other words, if you request a certain building but that building is already full, the room assigner can't know why you requested that building and will just give you any old room).

So I put a request on my reservation for "close to bus and food court."

We flew in at 10 p.m., got dropped off by Disney's Magical Express at 11 p.m. It being very late in the day, pickings were slim and we were assigned a room at the far end of Building 2, which, looking at the map, made me think our room was somewhere in Central Georgia. I was disappointed but figured there was nothing I could do. I saddled up the wife and 6 year old and 4 year old ready to trudge to our room at 11:15 p.m. with our carry-ons after a long day of travel.

What a delight to realize that this "far away" room was exactly a 2-MINUTE-WALK (I timed it) from the front desk, and that included the elevator ride up to the 3rd floor!!! IT WAS GREAT!!!

Later in the trip, I timed the farthest walk in the resort, a walk from the far end of Building 1 to the door of the food court -- 3 minutes 20 seconds. Fantastic!!!

In other words, plan all you want, but don't sweat it, because at POFQ it truly won't matter.

Wow, Eric, is that map ever deceiving!! But I agree, there is NO bad location at POFQ. We were in building 2 room 2207 and it was awesome!

If you wouldn't mind, if anyone has pics of Building 6 I'd like to see them.

Thanks;)
