Under 10 minutes. It's a really nice ride.

My experience has been it is actually a little closer to 15 minutes. Its occasionally taken 20 if boat traffic is heavy and we have to wait for other boats to pass under a bridge before we can go.

And I agree - I love the ride. Its much more relaxing than the bus.

I am beyond excited! We stayed at POR last year and decided to try POFQ this time around. Last week we booked for June 19th-25th!!! My SIL, BIL and nephew will be going with us this time. I know they're gonna love it!

It's December and I can finally say I will be staying at POFQ NEXT MONTH! :goodvibes I can hardly wait!!!

You have all convinced us. DH and I are now booked for POFQ. Looking forward to trying a new resort. (maybe I just like the Ps???)

I read in a Disney book today that POFQ has queen size beds, I thought they were double size. Can anybody confirm?

That Disney book is incorrect. All 4 WDW Moderate resorts have full-size beds.

We'll be leaving for POFQ on Wednesday. Can anyone tell me if the safes are the bigger size (hold a laptop)? Thanks

Nope. They are the size that hold airline tickets and wallets and stuff like that.

What exactly is a full-size bed?

A full-size bed, also known as a double bed, is 54 inches wide(and may be either 75 or 80 inches long (by comparison, a twin bed is 38 inches wide).

A queen-size bed is 60 inches wide and 80 inches long.

There are two types of king-size beds, the "regular" one being 76 inches wide and 80 inches long (a "California" king is 72" x 84").

I knew that summer during college working in a mattress factory would pay off some day ....

The answer is really no. They are small safes. Just large enough for me to store some tapes and PDA type devices. Not really a laptop unless toy have a REALLY small one. :)

That being said, in the last 2 years, I never locked up my laptop. I just stuck it in my luggage and put a small combo lock on the bag.

Keep it out of site, and you deter the "casual" criminal.

Use any form of a lock, and you deter the more common criminal (i.e. lets say a housekeeper with a history.... but never a mousekeeper. ;) ).

Beyond that, you have more hardcore criminals who have premeditated intentions. They have a specific reason for wanting to take from you and are willing to take the calculated risk (i.e. the benefits of the theft are worth risking being caught). Mousekeepers and hotel guests tend not to fall into this category, and people in the category should be extremely rare.

Unless your worried about the slight chance in the last category, a wall safe should not be needed. But that's only my professional opinion ;)what level of risk you're comfortable with is totally up to you.

We were at POFQ in October. One afternoon while at a park I realized that I had forgotten to lock the safe before we left the room that morning. We were locking up my husband's meds and our stash of cash for the week. I was sure the cash (about $400) would be gone when we got back. But much to my surprise, everything was there just as we left it. And this was the day when not only was mousekeeping in to clean, but maintenance was also in to repair the noisy AC. There was plenty of opportunity for someone to have taken the cash. And much to my delight, they didn't. :)

Does anyone know if there is an email address to the resort?

I just booked POFQ for Oct 08! This will be our first time not staying in values. I am so excited! I called to change our dates from april to Oct and CRO was able to save me 400 on airfare so I upgraded for ASMU and added another day! WHOO HOO!

I just thought I would share my news and bump this thread up a little bit.
