I apologize it has taken me so long to post this. Wow, was it really two weeks ago that I was there. I finally got all my pictures uploaded and ready to go:
So, JS took the day off on Friday, Nov 7 since he had been in DC for 5 weeks. So we were able to pick Jacob up from school at 2:15 and head straight to WDW. Oops, one problem, neither of us grabbed the camera.

So, got Jacob in the truck, swung by the house, stopped for drinks (Cokes) and we were finally on our way.
When we first moved to Florida, I would drive 85-90 down I4 because everyone else did. A month or so ago they really started to go after speeders, so I have learned to slow down, but on this day everyone was flying and there were no cops.

So, we were in the park before 4:00. The parking lot looked really full so I was little worried.
Our first entertainment for the night was watching what looked like Grandma and Mom trying to get Daughter to car because she was too drunk to walk. The fact they weren't running for a CM made me realize it wasn't an emergency. Then this other couple was walking through the parking lot yelling at each other. JS and I both said it should be an entertaining night.
So we get in the park and of course JS won't allow me to stop to take pics, I got this one:
Well, we all needed to take a little detour into the bathroom after our drive and those cokes, I apologize if that is too much info. Here are my boys waiting on me to come out:
On the way to the bathroom we noticed there was no line for Spaceship Earth, so we rode it. It was a walkon. I was so excited.
After fighting my way to one of the computers to email our pics to ourselves (which we never got) we were on our way.
Jacob wanted to see if the Make A Robot booth was open and I reminded him that it was not coming back, but there was supposed to be a Build a Car booth in its place. I knew I hadn't heard of it opening on the Dis, but thought we could check. Well, not open yet, but Jacob tried to make some noise:
I think the CM's in Innovations were bored because they were really persuading Jacob to play.
Then Jacob wanted to ride Mission: Space, which had about a 5 minute wait, so I sent the boys that way and I went to Mousegear, but first I grabbed FP's for Test Track. They were for 6:20, I thought that would be ok, didn't realize FP's could ruin a night, but more on that later. Look who was waiting for me at Mousegears:
I was so excited to see Christams merchandise. My mission in Mousegears was the Scrapbook kit. I have finally started scrapbooking, ordered 200 pics from our trip in June to get started, but I hadn't wanted to start until I got this kit with all the paper. So I found my kit, then I found the MickeyHead emblem I want to put on my bumper, I think it will go on the dent I put in my bumper a few months back very nicely. Then I found a Christmas Tink pin that I want to send to Kara as a stocking stuffer. Then I just looked around until the boys came back.
I told JS about the FP's for Test Track and then thought we could do Ellen's Universe of Energy because JS had never done it. The doors were open so we went right in. Had a nice little ride. Well, we still had about 30 minutes until the FP time. I wasn't sure where the Night Ranger concert was, so I went to the information booth. The poor older gentleman CM was trying to help this lady and he didn't know the answer to her question. I finally got the younger CM who helped me right away, and then the older CM said I made the right choice in going to the younger guy because he knew it all. I just laughed. I also picked up the slip of paper showing the show times and boy was I glad I did. I had gotten the times for Night Ranger to perform off of a website which was completely incorrect. But we still have 20 minutes left until time for TT and we are trying to figure out what to do. Here is where everything goes down hill.
Now, JS thought we were going strictly for the Food and Wine Festival, and he was probably right in his thinking. I got there, saw the short lines and wanted to ride. So, JS is getting really mad at me. I asked him if he wanted to skip TT, but he never would answer me, so finally we go sit at TT waiting for our FP time and this is how JS looked:
Not a happy fellow. So at this point we are basically yelling at each other. I remember this poor man just looking at us. So, with only 10 minutes before our FP time, we left. I saw a family of 3 and gave them the FP. Now, JS later said I got us stuck getting those FP's, which I informed him all he had to say was lets not do it and I would have done exactly what I ended up doing, giving them away.
Here is a pic waiting on the boat (took a lot more but they didn't come out), might as well take pics because JS wasn't speaking to me.
We finally get across the lagoon and Night Ranger has just started. They were doing an acoustic show:
My man, Jack Blades.
Brad Gillis:
During the last song, they stood up and started to Rock:
Sorry, I didn't get a good picture of the drummer, but he was there also. These are the only remaining members of the band. They played some songs that weren't even theirs, like Sweet Home Alabama, which I thought was funny because every concert we go to JS yells out for the band to play Freebird. He said Sweet Home Alabama is close enough. Yea, he was finally talking to me again. Music really does calm the beast. They also played, "Don't Tell Me you Love Me" and an ACDC song. We kept Jacob busy taking photos and he got really into it when they went to the electric guitars at the end of "Goodbye". I wish they had done more that way. We saw the middle session, so I wonder if they did different sets for each show.
Ok, don't know if I will get in trouble for this, but here are a couple of quick videos I did. I overheard the person next to me say, "She is recording them!", but I figured if I didn't do the whole song it wouldn't be a problem.
So after Night Ranger we headed over to Japan because Jacob wanted to check out their Bakugan selection. They didn't have what he wanted, but they did have a Pokeman tin, or maybe it was Yu Gi Oh, he wanted. So, after agreeing to get both rooms clean, I gave him the additional couple of bucks to purchase it. Rooms still aren't clean, and tin is sitting unopened on my kitchen counter.
Here was the whole problem with the night. Tried to get JS to make a decision, what food would he like etc. He wouldn't even look at the brochure, or the menus I had printed out before leaving. So we ended up going home and ordering Chinese. We were home by 9:30. That's really sad isn't it. Oh well, I got to see Night Ranger and that was my main reason for going.
I'll try to post our other adventures over the weekend.
Have a good one.
