That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

I love, love, love, LOVE your 10 day list. I think it's so important to leave real life behind while on vacation. :goodvibes

If you read TK's pre-trippie, you already kinda know what you're getting today.
If you don't read TK's pre-trippie, you should. And not just because it's good. Also because I said so.
And it's good.
So there's that.

Way too late in the game, my sweet sister Leia a.k.a. TK a.k.a. TarzansKat a.k.a. #1 on Disney Dining's Most Wanted list (I'm #2)

At this point in your post, I smiled.:)

"Yes, I was hoping you had something for a party of 5 sometime between 5 and 7 p.m. on September 20th at one of the Magic Kingdom or monorail accessible restaurants...Um, hello?...::sigh::...I'd really appreciate it if you would stop laughing and would just help me...Hello?...Ok, the laughing, I get it...THIS ISN'T VERY MAGICAL YOU KNOW!"

And right about here that smile turned to a giggle.:lmao:

Strike one.

I promised TK I'd try early Monday morning, hoping people had decided to simply not eat overnight. My conversation was like this:

Tink: "Hi I was hoping to..."
DisneyDining: "No."
Tink: "Huh? I mean I..."
DD: "Nope. Uh-uh."
Tink: "But."
DD: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO."
Tink: "Thanks."
DD: "Have a magical day."

Strike two.

And then the giggle became something akin to a laugh.:rotfl:

So that's it, folks.
Consider yerselves warned, ye be.
Two great powers are now destined to collide.
The two halves of the Force will once again be reunited.
Laverne and Shirley are about to party!

And now it's a full on guffaw! :rotfl2: Seriously, how is it that you can make me laugh out loud while my boy is screaming in my ear? (Overtired, cranky, no nap day...for DS too. ;) )

And I couldn't be happier about it. :goodvibes

Me, too.

I think it's highly probably that there will be a LARGE disturbance in the Force. :darth:

WOOO HOOO for Citricos! I can't wait to ehar about it - one of the few restaurants I haven't tried at WDW.:guilty:

Hi! Remember me? I posted several pages ago when I found your PTR. I've finally gotten caught up and have to say that I am INCREDIBLY JEALOUS of you (and TK)! DH and I have gone to WDW the last week of September for the past 3 years, but not this year. DS was born in January and we thought it might be a good idea to not go this year. I don't know what I was thinking! I blame it on very little sleep and hormones. I so very much want to be getting ready to go again, but I will have to settle for living vicariously through your trip report. Be sure to eat a Mickey Bar for me please!

Ok, now I'm depressed.

I'm behind.
Way behind.
Way, way behind.
Way, way, way behind.

I know.

But work was, er, miserable busy Thurs./Fri. and considering I packed so many boxes yesterday it quite literally made me sit down and cry (now THAT would've been an interesting side of me to share with the DIS), I'd say I wasn't in the best of shape to be posting an update.

Since it would've been heavy on the hissy and light on the update.

But I'm taking a page out of the good Lord's book (not literally, mind you...because now that I think of it, do we OWN a bible? I don't remember packing one...hmmm.) and today shall be my day of rest.

And day of update.

But later.

Not now.

Now I have to figure out away to gently rouse the BF from his slumber.
So he can take me to breakfast.
And I think pouncing on him and bouncing around whilst singing, "Guess who wants a grilled cooooorn muuuuuffiiiiiin?" is out.

TTFN.

That is an unacceptable way to rouse your significant other? Hmmm...the things you learn on the DIS. ;)

Carppy work, carppy moving. It's totally ruining your anticipation and enjoyment that you are going to DISNEY IN SIX DAYS! This calls for some dancing fruit!

No more stress! Why does it always seem like work is most stressful and hectic when you have a vacation planned, a home to move, etc.?? I think you were just doomed for stress these few weeks. ;)

Just keep telling yourself though - 6 days until your relaxing at the Poly!

Ok. So, the last time I updated, I gave you a 10 day list.
That was five days ago. Here's how it's all gone down since:

On Thursday, I was:
happy-065.gif

On Friday, I was:
happy-098.gif

Saturday I was:
brick-wall-017.gif

(But that was mostly because of the packing tape and the boxes and the dust and the packing tape and the stress and the packing tape.)

Yesterday I was back to:
happy-098.gif

And today I'm just:
:goodvibes: (Despite the fact that my 6:00 a.m. train didn't arrive until 7:15 a.m. this morning, dashing any hopes of being able to get in to work early to get extra stuff done. ::sigh:: )

It's Monday, why am I smiling?
Why?
WHY?

BECAUSE IN FIVE DAYS I WILL BE IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!

happy-cheerleader-130.gif

It's funny but because of all of the craziness with work and packing at home, it really is taking a toll on my pre-Disney excitement/anticipation. But a few times a day, I'll remember just how close we are to our trip and the excitement bubbles right up and sheds some happy Disney magic on an otherwise busy day. As much as I do wish I had a relaxing pre-Disney week ahead of me, in a way, this isn't too bad either. Those moments are like Wishes fireworks throughout my day.

I'm just about ready to go. Bags are packed and gift bags are all put together. The only big thing I have left to do is make the shirts for me, Missy, TK and her DS. Other than that, it's just house packing to finish up.

House packing. UGH. My mantra all day yesterday was, "It's Sunday. I'm not thinking about packing the house. It's Sunday. I'm not thinking about packing the house. It's Sunday. I'm not thinking about packing the house."

Well, unfortunately now it's Monday. Back to work. Back to the real, non-weekend world. Back to thinking about packing the house.

But it's all good because, just in case I failed to mention it...

IN FIVE DAYS I WILL BE IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!

happy-cheerleader-130.gif

Obviously in the craziness of the past few days I've been post-less as you are well aware. And despite my best intentions yesterday, all I had it in me to do was laze around on the couch and watch Matt Cassel take the Pats to a 19-10 win.

I really really love your lists and not just because they are lists either. ;) I love the list content, it's awesome. I might have to steal this for my next PTR. I will credit you of course, because that's how I roll. :goodvibes

:cool1:  5 DAYS!!!! :cool1:

Try not to stress too much this week! Just keep telling yourself 5 days until your at the Poly.....5 days until your at the Poly. ;)

5 days... 5 days... 5 days...

Actually, that's like 3 days using Fuzzy Disney Math!

 for the packing tape. Hate that stuff. :headache:

One of my very favorite reasons for going to WDW -- leaving the real world behind!!! :goodvibes

Don't I know it!!!

WOOO HOOO for Citricos! I can't wait to ehar about it - one of the few restaurants I haven't tried at WDW.:guilty:

We were really hoping for Cali Grill, but no dice. :(

Hi! Remember me? I posted several pages ago when I found your PTR.

:wave2: Of course I do!

DS was born in January and we thought it might be a good idea to not go this year.

:faint:

Kidding. In the end it probably was the right decision, whether you really want to admit it or not.

Be sure to eat a Mickey Bar for me please!

How 'bout 3? :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

That is an unacceptable way to rouse your significant other? Hmmm...the things you learn on the DIS. ;)

I KNOW, right? Who knew?

Why does it always seem like work is most stressful and hectic when you have a vacation planned, a home to move, etc.?? I think you were just doomed for stress these few weeks. ;)

I agree. Stupid Murphy. And his stupid Murphy's Law.

How was the corn muffin this morning???

Sadly I didn't partake in a grilled corn muffin. :sad1: Instead I was coerced into going to a buffet I don't really care for. ::sigh::

That's ok, though. The boys were happy and considering I'll be eating a fool's worth of Tonga Toast and French Loaf Toast in less than a week's time, I thought it noble to not complain. Ha!

I really really love your lists and not just because they are lists either. ;) I love the list content, it's awesome. I might have to steal this for my next PTR. I will credit you of course, because that's how I roll. :goodvibes

Aww. That's high praise coming from the List Queen herself. I'm glad you're enjoying them, though I have a surprise up my sleeve that only TK knows about for your ONE DAY LIST.

::sigh::

Guess you're just going to have to wait it out until Friday!

FIVE DAYS!!!!

:goodvibes
:cool1:  5 DAYS!!!! :cool1:
FIVE DAYS!!!!!

Happy 5 Days!!!!

These five day happy wishes sure are buoying my afternoon!!!

5 days... 5 days... 5 days...

Actually, that's like 3 days using Fuzzy Disney Math!

Can we use reverse Fuzzy Disney Math on my checking account then?

ESPN baby! :cheer2:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

No joke. I thought about it, but my traveling companion isn't a football fan so that's out. The way I see it is this:

9/21/08:
Miami @ New England - I hate to say it and I don't want to jinx my Pats but I don't know how much I'm actually missing here!
Pittsburgh @ Philly - I'm actually kind of sad to be missing this game. Watch, Asante Samuel will have the game of his life and I'll be too busy riding around and around on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster to see it. ;)
9/21/08:
The Pats have a BYE week.
Philly is playing the 8:15 p.m. game so I'll be home in time to see it! I just hope our cable is hooked up!!!

I never realized that I would be missing 2 Patriots games while we are at Disney. UGH! And we might miss games 4 thru 7 of the World Series! I think I'll keep this info to myself and maybe DH won't notice :rolleyes1
