First things first. I owe y'all a Countdown Trivia Update. Here are all of the ones you missed (read: all of the ones yours truly neglected to share with you because she'd taped herself into a banana box along with a food processor she didn't remember she owned):
28 Days!!
It takes 21,000 hours and 10 weeks to install the 5,000,000 lights used in the Osborne Family Lights.
27 Days!!
The Animal Kingdom contains live plants from every continent on Earth except Antarctica.
26 Days!!
To convince Disney execs that the experience of sharing the same space with exotic animals was enough to entertain guests at an animal-themed park, the Imagineers brought a 400lb. Bengal tiger into an executive meeting and had him walk around the conference table.
25 Days!!
The rocks in the lion area of Kilamanjaro Safaris are climate-controlled. They are heated in winter and cooled in summer to encourage the lions to lie in good viewing areas.
24 Days!!
There is a "hidden Walt" on each of the floats in the Share A Dream Come True parade.
23 Days!!
When the Universe of Energy opened in 1982, it was the largest privately funded solar-power installation in the world (and the World).
22 Days!!
Disney's Wedding Pavilion has hosted more than 4,000 weddings since it opened in 1995.
21 Days!!
The 1,671-seat showroom in Downtown Disney is the first freestanding permanent theatre ever built for Cirque du Soleil.
20 Days!!
If a football player wanted to wear one of the large helmets found in the Touchdown Hotel area of Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, he would have to be over 200 feet tall - that's taller than the Tower of Terror!
19 Days!!
If you count all the dalmatians in the 101 Dalmatians section of the Disney's All-Star Moves resort, including all of the puppies and the large Pongo and Perdita, you get exactly 101.
18 Days!!
It took 500 skilled workers and craftsmen to construct the million square feet of rock work in Disney's Animal Kingdom's park landscaping. To put it in perspective, you could build a sculpture 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep by two miles high with that much rock.
17 Days!!
When Aerosmith came to WDW to preview Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Steve Tyler and Joe Perry rode it 12 times in a row.
16 Days!!
The 108,000-gallon Fountain of Nations in Future World uses as much power in a day as it takes to run a single house for six months.
Second things second. Airport travel plans have changed again. This time it's the plans for going TO the airport.
Originally, BF was going to drop Missy and I at the airport on the 20th, but he has to work that morning. Which means he'd be dropping us at the airport at 5:30 a.m. for our 8:30 a.m. flight. Which wouldn't be too early if we were flying out of Logan. But since we'll be in smallish and practically-perfect-in-every-way Providence, three hours is WAAAAY to early. Not to mention that it would mean needing to pick up Missy at 5:00 a.m.
Which is about 7 hours earlier than she normally wakes up on a Saturday.
(No joking.)
Being at the airport that early would mean a three hour wait, since it really takes all of 6.4 seconds to check in for your flight and make it through Security at that time in the morning at Green.
In addition to that, if BF takes us, my parents would have to drive me all the way to the old apartment to pick up my car after they collect us from the airport on the 28th, including a stop at their house to pick up my kitties, who'll be spending the night with grammy and grampy on the 27th so that BF can have moving-peace. Then they will have to drive back home (we have to pass their house to go to the old house) and I will have to backtrack myself to go to the new place.
All that = a pain in my BEhind.
So a new plan was hatched, proposed and approved. BF will bid me adieu with many kisses, "I miss you already"'s and much weeping (if he knows what's good for him) at 5:45 a.m. on the 20th. I will now drive my car to my parents house and leave it in their driveway at 6:00 a.m. I will then jump in my mom's car as she has agreed to be our transportation. We will pick up Missy at 6:15 a.m. (she lives on the way to the airport) and be at T.F. Green between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m.
That's a MUCH more manageable wait time for our flight.
We won't be running around like headless chickens (NOScrollingTagThread) when we come home.
Missy gets to sleep an extra hour.
Done. Done. And done.
Third things third. Costumes.
Argh.
Grrr.
I originally wanted to dress up for MNSSHP.
Then time started running out. (NOSandsThroughTheHourglass (NODaysofOurLives))
Then I decided we could just wear piratey tanks (I still need to make).
Then Missy's friend who loves Ren faires offered for her to borrow some authentic pirate garb to wear.
Which leave us here:
Missy has costume.
Nikki has naught.
I'm going to toss some ideas around and see what I can come up with. But the truth is I have less than no time right now for stuff I don't already have on the 'To Do' lists. So I'm not sure yet. I do have three items of clothing that, when worn together, might make a decent (and Disney Friendly) piratey-wench outfit. I'm going to try to try it on this weekend and see if it works. If not....::sigh::
So there we are.
We are there.
There we be.
