That Foo's Boo Is Incredible!!! - Jan 14 TR *THE END 7/19 Pg. 51*

Oooh I am so excited to see the new Harry Potter section at Universal! Thanks for the sneak peek!
We waited a long time for Minions too, had the same thoughts afterward -- cute but not quite worth a long wait.
Awesome that you got some special treatment on rip ride rockit! Twice in 10 minutes? Can't beat that!
Oh your poor mom, I know exactly how she was feeling, I was the same on my last day. I think it's so sweet that your Pop got her the bag, what a gorgeous bag too! I don't think there's anything worse than being sick on vacation and feeling like you're ruining it for someone else.
Love your purchases! Awesome phone case!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Of course! I can't wait for it to open up.

I was completely surprised by the ride situation at Rip Ride Rockit, but I wasn't about to complain about it.

He definitely made her feel a bit better getting her the purse. I mean, obviously it didn't change anything, but I think it lifted her spirits.

Your mom's D&B purse is absolutely adorable. Popadon really is the BEST! Not only does he do Summit Plummet but he buys great gifts! :thumbsup2

Your purchases are pretty fun, too! I love your pocket book and cell phone case. I'm a bit of a makeup junkie myself and you can NEVER have too many makeup bags!

I never thought about it before - but it must be hard to be a CM tempted by Ghiradellis day after day! It's not like they can afford many splurges on their salaries.

Hope you mom starts to feel better soon!

He's pretty great, I have to say. :goodvibes

I absolutely adore makeup cases. There were actually more that I wanted to get, but that's on my list for May.

I completely agree! I couldn't imagine spending $10 on a sundae when I don't even potentially make that per hour.

What an awesome CM at Universal! That is so nice that you got a little "magic" on the dark side.

Dinner at WPE looks great; we've really come to love that place.

I'm sorry Mom was still not feeling well and wasn't up to going out with you for the evening. But what a sweet Pop to pick up that bag for her to try to make her feel better.

Too funny about everyone wanting to attack you for your ice cream.

Wow...you did make a lot of purchases...good for you. :thumbsup2

It was definitely awesome that we had that experience.

We love WPE too. I just love the variety, and that everything is good.

Yeah, unfortunately this illness did not leave her quite as fast as she would have liked. She even had residual after we got home.

I was scared for my life with the ice cream! People were crazy. :rotfl2:

I did make a lot of purchases. I'm pretty much an all at once buyer though. I don't buy much more after I make my big shop.

Whew! I just spent the weekend reading the entire "I wanna sell Tee-Tee" and this TR! I am loving both!

You look so great. I love the red hair on you! You pull it off!

Love the Disney outfits and makeup touches! I totally do that too.

And random...DA BEARS! :)

I'm glad you enjoy them! Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Thanks so much! I really just like changing my hair up all of the time. I get bored very easily.

Hahaha! That's all right, I can take it. I do live in Chicagoland. :lmao:

"Wait...It's Not a Turnstile Anymore....Floating Mickey Head?"

Day 6 - Wednesday January 22, 2014

We woke up at about 7am this morning, and not surprising to me, Momma was not feeling much better at all. Unfortunately, she spent the entire night hacking and coughing away. When I asked her how she was feeling, she said that she felt like her head was going to explode. However, she was actually going to attempt to come out for the day.

High temperature was supposed to be 52 this day. At this point, it was about 35 degrees. Pop put his foot down, and he said absolutely under no circumstances would he allow her to go out.

We told her we would stay behind with her, but she wouldn't have any of that either. I could tell she was crestfallen, but she just should not have gone out that day. I told her we would come back in the afternoon to check on her. If she was feeling better, we'd bundle her up for our dinner reservation. She agreed to that, so we got ready to head out for the day.

My outfit today. I absolutely love this sweatshirt.

We headed out of the room at about 8:20am. Pop and I both agreed that we would be eating at Epcot, so we didn't have anything that morning. My makeup inspiration for the day.

None other than Donald Duck, complete with red bow tie lips! I was super proud of this one.

And for derpy measure.

In absolutely no time, we were pulling up to the gates at Epcot.

We made great time at this point. Like, we left the resort at 8:20am and we pulled in to Epcot at 8:30am. It was pretty cold at this point, so we stayed in the car while we waited for the opening time to approach. It was only 43 at this point, and I wasn't in the mood to stand outside waiting. Yes I live in the Midwest. No, I don't like cold.

Love!

We waited it out in the car, and soon we were heading to the gate and going through the turnstiles for rope drop. Wait a minute. Can we even call them turnstiles. Rewind. Let me try that again.

We waited it out in the car, and soon we were heading to the gate and going through the floating Mickey heads for rope drop.

I mean, that's at least more accurate, right?

There were not many people with us that morning in Epcot. All in all, that's a good thing in my opinion.

Where were we heading first? Well, since we hadn't eaten breakfast, basically one of the only places in Epcot that you can get a CS breakfast.

Sunshine Seasons! My Dad is a huge breakfast eater, so he was very much looking forward to this.

I ordered the kids french toast and a cheese danish.

Pop ordered his usual bounty platter.

I love kids meals. Honestly, they normally end up being the perfect size for me. The main problem I have is the lack of variety with the kids meals. I mean, come on. I know kids are creatures of habit, but I also come from a family where the kiddos eat more than just chicken nuggets. Some variety would be nice.

Anyhoodle. As we were eating, we were discussing our upcoming days. Since Mom missed out on our Epcot morning, I decided to make some changes to our days. It's one of the things I like the most about MDE and the FP+ options. It was so easy to make the changes, and I even made them again after we met back up with Mom later. I didn't want her to miss Soarin', so I made sure to snag that on another day.

After we were done, we noticed that the wait time for Soarin' was still only 20 minutes, so we said "what the heck....let's just hop in line."

I NEVER do Soarin' standby. I haven't waited standby for Soarin' I think in like 7 years or so. For real.

In no time, we were heading in to our gate.

Hello, and welcome to Soarin'. I love Patrick Warburten.

The ride was good, as it always is. I mean, so we expect any different? I didn't think so.

After that, it was time for our Mission:Space FP+ return. I mean, honestly, we didn't need it. So I learned some lessons from this trip, and now I know that in future trips we will make our FP+ reservations in the afternoon or evening. Because we all know in the morning you kind of don't need them.

Readers of my TR's in the past know that I'm all "Go Orange or Go Home!" with Mission:Space.

So orange side it was for us.

Thankfully, our ride partners were a fun bunch. I take my role very seriously on MS, and I want my riding partners to also take their role seriously. They both did. We were saluting away during the pre-flight intro. Good times.

Ready Yeti?!

Here's the funny thing about this ride. The air blowers that they have in the car blow in your face right? I'm not kidding, they make me tear up like nobody's business. Like, looks like full on crying and stuff. No, I'm fine. No, the ride does not make me cry.

However, apparently the ride makes Yeti puke. Poor little guy. Probably from his hardcore living.

Up Next: Cronut?! Where?!

Awwww...I'm sorry mom was still feeling so poorly in the a.m. Your Pop was right in making your mom stay in the room with the cooler temperatures.

I LOVE your outfit (that shirt rocks) and your make-up for the day.

Smart move waiting in the car and not in the cold until the park opened. I live in the Midwest too and I hate the cold as much as you.

I love the kids French toast. And you are so right...kids eat more than chicken nuggets.

That wasn't too bad of a wait for standby for Soarin'...glad you waited. I do NO side of Mission...but glad you had a good crew.

Poor Yeti...in the upchuck bag.

Sounds like a nice Epcot morning (except for your mom having to stay back).

I'm also in the club of midwesterners who don't like the cold. :thumbsup2

I hate cold Disney weather! I swear, 43 in Florida feels colder than 43 in Chicago....

Soarin' standby line? I don't think I've ever done it at WDW, but maybe have in DL. The park looked empty for you guys! Cool.

Breakfast looks yummy!

Sorry to hear your mom had to sit that morning out. Being sick in Epcot is the worst. Hopefully, she rested while you two were gone and was up to going out to dinner later that evening.

Love your Donald-inspired makeup!

Wow, a 20 minute standby for Soarin'...looks like the cold weather was working in your favor. :thumbsup2

Aww, your poor mom. Hope she felt better at some point! :thumbsup2

Your sweatshirt is awesome! Your makeup looks fantastic! I'm just in awe of you, basically, lol! You always look so good! :goodvibes

I love Sunshine Seasons for breakfast! And then 20 minutes for Soarin'? Unheard of, haha! I hate waiting in standby for anything, but I'll wait for Soarin' if I have to, I need to, I'm kind of obsessed. In fact, I kind of need to hear that music right now...

I honestly have no idea what the best strategy for FP+ is. I guess the afternoon? I really don't know, I'm actually kind of dreading making my reservations in a few months. It just seems like so much added stress to planning a Disney trip!

Oooh, a Cronut...I hope they still have those in September!

Aw man, I'm so sorry your Mom wasn't feeling well! I can't imagine being that sick on a disney vacation, like, I'd feel horrible and like I was missing so much if I didn't go out, I wouldn't want to stay put at all!! Erg. I hope she feels much better soon!!

Epcot looks like a fun morning, depsite it being cold! SS is my favorite place for breakfast, simply because it is cheaper than the France bakery, lol!!

Mmmm. I tend to be a quick breakfast eater on Disney trips. Something really quick from the food court is just fine. EXCEPT when going to Epcot. How can one resist the call of Sunshine Seasons???

Oh you cannot turn down a 20 minute wait for Soarin'. It would just be flat out wrong to do that. :goodvibes

You didn't like Rip Ride Rockit? That's my favorite coaster there. But you know, different strokes for different folks. :thumbsup2

Okay, let me backtrack! I loved Rip Ride Rockit! But I was expecting it to scare me to death more and once we got past the initial drop, I wasn't scared to death. So since I didn;t die from fear, I think it left me a little disappointed! The Hulk didn't scare me to death but it turned out to be more than I expected, so that was the reason I loved The Hulk more than Rip Ride but just because of my initial reaction. Had I got to ride each more than once, my perspective might very well have changed...you know, first impressions and all! ;)

I remember your mom being sick and being so fresh from our trip at that time, I felt so bad for her...being sick stinks but being sick on vacation really stinks!!

Great finds on your trip to DTD and that sundae did look to die for!!

I really did like the ease to make changes so easily and quickly with MDE! That was kind of sweet!!

I don't like being sick...but to be sick at WDW is no fun at all. Glad that I did stay in the room and rested up.

Loved your outfit and makeup!!Too sad Mom was under the weather !!I think I may try kids breakfasts next month , the bounty platter is way too much for me !! Standbye for Soarin ' is great !!!!!

I'm really enjoying your TR!! You're parents are awesome and I love your dads smile!! I also wish I could do eye shadow like you!! Thanks so much for sharing your trip! Can't wait to read more!!

Poor Yeti...in the upchuck bag.

I was definitely on board with him making the decision to have her stay back in the room.

Thanks! That's one of my favorite shirts that I got recently!

I love the kids french toast too, it's just the right size.

Yeah, Yeti's got some issues. :lmao:

Sounds like a nice Epcot morning (except for your mom having to stay back).

I'm also in the club of midwesterners who don't like the cold. :thumbsup2

It was a good morning, we got a lot accomplished.

Yay! We should all start a Midwesterner's hate winter club.

I hate cold Disney weather! I swear, 43 in Florida feels colder than 43 in Chicago....

I hate Disney cold weather too. However, I would rather be cold in Disney than be cold at home. LOL.

We so rarely do Soarin' standby, it was kind of a surprise. :lmao:

Very cute sweatshirt! Yay Hot Topic stuff!

Aww poor Yeti!

Can't wait to hear about Cronuts!

I know, this entire TR is filled with Hot Topic stuff. My next one will be too. :lmao:

Ugh, the cronuts. OMG they're so good.

:thumbsup2

She definitely got the rest that she needed that day.

That was my favorite makeup to do. I got tons of compliments on it throughout the day.

Yup, 20 minute standby. It was all good in my world.

Aww, your poor mom. Hope she felt better at some point! :thumbsup2

She did feel better eventually, but honestly she didn't ever fully recover.

Awww, stop. I just love having fun, truthfully.

I know, it was unheard of! I was so happy the wait was so short.

Truthfully, I think afternoon is definitely the best option. Morning crowds are still light, so there are not a lot of long lines. Don't stress out too much, it's so easy to make changes to everything even up to the day of.

Oh, I'm sure they're going to have the cronut. They have a cronut a la mode now!
