That Foo's Boo Is Incredible!!! - Jan 14 TR *THE END 7/19 Pg. 51*

It was 42 degrees when we woke up on Friday, Jan 23rd. We spent that evening at Epcot and it was absolutely freezing. The wind was coming off the lake making it colder, just like it does here in Chicago. We hung out in the Land, eating dinner at Sunshine Seasons and waiting for our fp for Soarin'. We even went to see Circle of Life, just to stay out of the cold. It was DH's first time seeing it. Kitchen Kaberet was so much better. A quick stop at Spaceship Earth and then we were out of there. Even though we had our winter coats on, it was darn cold.

My husband had the kids lunch at the ABC Commissary and it came with a lot of good food, like chocolate milk and carrots and other good stuff. I helped him eat the fresh veggies while he had some of my boring french fries. And I would get the kid's serving of Mickey waffles since two waffles is plenty for me.

Wow I can't believe how far behind I got. On the plus side I feel like I just netflixed most of your trip which is great because that's less time waiting in suspense for an update ;)

There is wayyy too much to comment on, but I must say it's great how you and your pops tried to cheer up your mom. nothing worse than being ill at disney.

I also think it's great how you are enthusiastic for your team, I just think it'd be better if your team was Da Bears :cool2:

You leave for BWV soon, right? I am 24 days away from being at BWV and am sooo excited!!

Just caught up on all your updates! I don't ever think about Universal and IoA because I don't ride coasters, but it still looked super fun! I guess there are still a good amount of rides to go on that aren't coasters. Maybe one day I'll go especially with all the Harry Potter stuff!!!

Aww, so sad that your mom wasn't feeling well, but how sweet of your Popadon to get her that bag!

I'm really enjoying all the fun you guys are having. I think it's adorable that you and your mom wear those Disney shirts and that the three of can be so entertaining. I can't imagine going to WDW with just my parents; my dad would want to sleep on Carousel of Progress and my mom doesn't ride anything more than the kid-friendly stuff.

I was just thinking that I miss reading the thrilling adventure tales from your family, but then it hit me, you are all at Disney right now for the 24 hour event right now! So lucky!

I can't wait to hear about it and see pictures! Hope you are enjoying your trip! And I can't wait to see the outfits & make up!

Hi Danielle – thanks again for letting me interrupt you and your folks as you strolled down Main Street. I saw the leggings and the red hair, and had myself a little star-struck moment :) . We were on the last day of our vacation, and it was a pleasure having a little brush with celebrity. All the best to you and your parents. Carla

Let's just say I eat adult side desserts :P

I always eat adult sized desserts too!

It really can be cold! I've been to Disney multiple times when the weather has been really cold, so I always make sure I bring the correct amount of layering items. But believe me. It's taken a while to perfect. :rotfl2:

Hahaha. I fell a little behind right before my trip, but I really want to wrap it up before I start my next one. Plus, I got a request not to start my new one until Kathy (Katmark) gets back from her trip, so let's see if I can do that. :rotfl: Probably not.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh sorry, that just made me laugh really hard. Hahahahahahaha. Da Bears. :lmao:

I love the BWV. I pretty much love all of the Epcot resorts in that area.

There are a few rides that aren't coasters. However, it does help to enjoy thrill rides when you go to Universal and IoA.

We have a great time together on a constant basis. They are my go to vacation buddies.

I know! I am going to get an update out tonight for this one. I'm trying to wait to start my other one.

Carla,
It was so nice to meet you too! I have never been recognized in Disney unplanned. I've had DISmeets, but have never met anyone that's read my TR's on accident. It was so much fun. :goodvibes I hope you and your family had a great time on your trip!

Jusy checking in . Happy Memorial Day!!

Thanks Rosie!

Hi everyone!!!

The P's and I just got back from WDW last night. This trip was incredible and we had so much fun. It was just fill of DISmeets, planned and unplanned, good food, the 24 hour party, and much much more.

Now, Kathy (Katmark) requested that I not start that TR until she comes back from hers, so I will do just that. In the meantime, I'm going to try to wrap this TR up quickly, so I'm not endlessly working on the two. But I mean, let's be real. It's really the story of my life. :lmao:

We last left off this TR with my Pop and I getting off a ride on Mission:Space. Yeti wasn't able to hold his lunch, which isn't a surprise for him really. We discussed what we would do, and both Pop and I agreed. Single rider on Test Track!

I mean, it's a little cold outside, but a little cold wind in the face at 65 mph is good for you. It builds character. Or creates chafing and windburn.....depends on how you look at it I suppose.

Let's go to the SIM track. Where apparently in the single rider line, I cannot create my own car. But I wanna create my own car!

I'm gonna be real with you. My pre-designed car performed terribly. And for someone who loves coming in first. This did not go over well with me. Every time we would get to a part the cars were rated.....wah wah. Mine was last. Grrrrrr.

Oh hey Pop what up!

Prepare to board the vehicle that WILL NOT win.

I was totally bundling up for the cold that was about to accost my face.

Pop's looking at the guy with the camera like "make sure you hold on to that."

After this, I said that I wanted to head in World Showcase, to meet Anna and Elsa. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Wow, that was really funny of me to say!

We passed Mexico.

And this was the line that was outside of the meet and greet. Already at 2 hours. Fabulous.

Total rookie mistake. I didn't want to wait that long to meet them. Now, at the time I didn't know that I would be able to FP+ meeting them (which I was able to do on this last trip), but I just figured I would meet them in May at some point, with better planning.

Pop asked me if I wanted to wait (he's a good Pop), but I told him not to worry about it. So, we backtracked back to Mexico, where we would go on a ride featuring the most amazing duck who ever lived! Don't argue semantics. He lives. True story.

Dun da da dunnnnnnn!!!!!

Duck butt!

Don't hit the duck, I'm warning you!

Hee hee hee. Donald is totally the best.

Continued in next post:

After our tour of Mexico, we decided we would go on the most amazing....

outstanding....

incredible......

thrilling......

heart-stopping........

tier 1 attractions in Epcot.

The Maelstrom.

Not before going through the Frozen display though.

Hoo hoo....big summer blowout.....

Can you handle it? The mass of people just waiting to get to that ride? I'm thinking it's like 2 hours tops.

Thankfully, it didn't take us 2 hours to get through line. Sub 1:30......minutes.

Back back, over the falls.

I see you.....

After that thrilling and amazing ride, Pop was a little hungry. Now, no one wants him to become hangry, so we started seeking out food. We decided on the Katsura Grill in Japan. Not before I got distracted by the beauty of China though.

World Showcase. My absolute favorite place to wander around aimlessly.

One of my favorite dining (that's a lie, mostly drinking) establishments.

Look it's France!!!! (something I totally overheard one time walking through Italy....)

Soon we were at our destination. I had planned on getting a frozen Kirin beer, but I never got around to it. Too cold man, too cold.

Love this pavilion.

I absolutely love the CM's in Japan. They are always the sweetest and most gracious. We had an adorable one ring us up, and she just kept talking about my Beauty and the Beast sweatshirt. She asked if I'd eaten at Be Our Guest yet, and I told her we had. She was going on about the grey stuff and how she wanted to try it. I told her to make sure she got over there to experience it. So sweet and so personable. Dad and I both ordered the sushi sampler, which is four pieces of california roll and three nigiri pieces. Pop got plum wine and I got Sapporo beer. When they came out, they gave us three platters. The CM looked so surprised there were three, and we looked at my receipt and she accidentally rung us up for three. I told her it was no problem at all. Initially Pop and I were like "meh...more sushi for us to split! But she felt so bad, she went to get a manager right away to fix it. She was so sorry about it, I told her it really wasn't a big deal. Everyone makes mistakes.

Once that was taken care of, we got ready to eat.

My beer.

We enjoyed it. The sushi was pretty good. It's a basic menu there, but it was what we wanted at the moment. As we were eating, we talked about what we were going to do after that. We didn't want to leave Mom "home" alone forever, and we had a super productive morning at that point. We decided that we would leave the car, since we had such a close parking spot. We had a dinner reservation at La Hacienda that night, so we would be going back to Epcot.

On the way out of the park. Something called my name. It was like "Danielle.....EAT ME!!!!"

Cronuts talk. True story.

Let me tell you. This stuff is incredible. Like, everything you ever dreamed of and more. Fluffy croissant on the inside, and sugary goodness on the outside. It was so yummy. So so yummy. Pop took one bite and said that blood sugar be darned, he'd eat a whole one himself. Ha!

Before we left, we figured we would commemorate our morning with a PP picture.

Up next: I understand that my Pop just dropped his margarita all over the place, but I swear he's not drunk!

So I've been home over a week with no updates and you've been home, what?, 24 hours? :rotfl2:

What, no frozen kirin beer in January? :confused3 Are you kidding me? :lmao:

Great pics on Malestrom which I never got on this past trip - why? Because there was a line. :faint:

So glad you had a fantastic, and rather long, trip! Back to reality now.

So enjoyed meeting you and the family! Can't wait to do it again!

Welcome back Dani!! I loved following along on Instagram. I showed my whole family your costumes because I thought they were so awesome!!

The first time my dad and I did TT, our car lost in every category too. My dad HATES losing so it definitely made me long for the days of old TT.

You look SUPER stylish in the ride photo! Between your hair and the lipstick, you look like a fashionista. I always look very unkempt in TT photos so I'm impressed.

I think you made the right call not waiting for Anna and Elsa. We waited an hour and a half and I would never do that again. Sticking with FP+ now that it's a thing.

I laughed out loud at "Look it's France!" :lmao:

Ughhh I need to try a cronut! It looks so good.

Your sweatshirt obviously makes me super happy. Belle's all peaceful and snuggled up and the Beast is like whuuuuut.

Cronut!!! Oh my gosh. That looked amazing. By the way, your Beauty and Beast outfit looks so fashionable!! You look great!

Welcome back home. I know the feeling!! Time to get back into the routine of life, which still includes plenty of daydreaming and planning the next trip. :thumbsup2

I've recently read several of your trip reports and LOVE them! :lovestruc Totally feel like we're friends now. :rotfl2:

Thank you for sharing the info on the Hot Topic shirts. I ordered the Tangled shirt and the Beauty & the Beast Rose one for our December trip. :thumbsup2

Welcome back! Great, fun update, as always! :thumbsup2

And I learned some things. Notes to self:

1.) Single Rider Line = Loser Car
2.) Hungry in Epcot = Cronut

Thank you! :goodvibes

Yay for having ANOTHER fantastic trip! Haha, I'm excited for the new report to indulge in after this one.

Mmm, that cronut looks so good. I had it on my list of things to try in January, but we weren't hungry at ALL when we were in that area. Do you know if it's a permanent addition?

The whole Anna and Elsa Meet and Greet craziness! And it doesn't appear to be slowing down at all, does it? Hope you had a fun meet and greet with them last week with your FP+. DD has been asking and asking about this meet and greet so I don't think we'll be able to escape it for our October trip. Hope I can score some FP+s.

Hmmm, I have yet to have tried sushi inside Epcot. May need to correct this wrong. :rotfl: I did try the yellow tail roll over at Flying Fish and it was soooo good!

Welcome back! I'm glad you had such a great trip! I followed along on Instagram and it looked so great. I've only ever been to Disneyworld in August so its weird to think of it being cold there lol. You really did have a productive morning! And that cronut looks sooooo good. Looking forward to more updates popcorn::
