That Foo's Boo Is Incredible!!! - Jan 14 TR *THE END 7/19 Pg. 51*

We were disappointed with lunch. Basically because my mom and I were expecting a real croque monsieur like you posted. But dessert is always good hehe

I love the first pic of you going down the hill on btmr! You look beautiful!

Was the sound good when you went to see the country bears? Last time I went I thought the sound was awful. I could barely understand.

So, turns out I kind of suck. Every time I’ve been on here (which hasn’t been a lot), I have apparently been laboring under the misconception that I was completely caught up with this TR. Why? I’m not sure. It’s a mystery. :confused3

Oh goodness! I am in love with your Peter Pan make-up look! That is just so darn cool!

That is QUITE a Buzz score there. I didn’t even know there was a volcano room…. I am the WORST at that game - I seriously can’t even figure out which little red dot is mine! :confused3

Loved reading about your BoG lunch. I did not enjoy our dinner there very much, but I’m kind of intrigued by lunch. Of course, that likely won’t happen, because my traveling companion would be so sad not to meet the Beast……

Love the BTMRR pictures!

Oh Dani, your game face for Buzz is awesome. Obviously it helped your focus to become a Galactic Hero! Your dad's game face... well, he's more adorable than game.

I really want to try BoG lunch. You only felt bad about bypassing the long line of people for approximately 2 seconds huh? I love your conscience! Too funny! :lmao:

Oh, and those Ariel leggings... I WANT 'em. Where did you get those?

Congrats on your 5K! That's Awesome! I've never come close to a 1/2 but for me the first couple miles are the hardest and I only run a few miles! :rotfl: Seriously, I wish you all the best with your training.

I love Country Bear Jamboree! I had the LP record of the entire show that my parents gave to me and my brothers in the 70's, and memorized it.:thumbsup2

I LOVED this update!!!! The slush fund story...omg, I snorted right along with your mom (loose nasal passages).

I STILL have not yet seen Country Bears...but, Blood in the Saddle...I have to make it a priority now.

;)

All caught up and loving the BTMRR selfies. :lmao:

I have yet to try lunch at BOG but despite the reviews my dinner at BOG was good. Then again I did have to have the chef come out and we had to have him make it special but then again it didn't blow me away.

I do hope PUSH comes back some day. Maybe it is getting an upgrade?!

I am sure PUSH can get some technology that doesn't require a guy standing 10 feet away. :lmao:

]Day 4 - Monday January 20, 2014 Continued.

"Watch Out For Your Toesies!"

We had just completed our ride around Tomorrowland on the Peoplemover. It moved us very effectively. We were approaching our FP+ time for BOG. I was super excited about this! We had dinner there in July. I liked it, but I think it's dinner is lacking a bit. But I'd heard raves about lunch, so I was excited to get a FP+ for this trip.

I had to take a potty break before we headed over, so I stopped by Mickey's Star Traders. And lo and behold, who do I spot?

No no, not a random trash can. It was Push!

I didn't realize at that point that this was the last time I would be seeing Push, but I'm glad I got the chance.
We saw Push a couple of times in January. It is sad that he is gone now because he was funny.

This was the group of people in the area where you order for lunch. During the evening, this is the meet and greet area for the Beast.
I love the braised pork, too. Thanks for the information on the meet and greet area. I had been wondering where it was and I never would have guessed that it was in the lunch time ordering room. Do they roll the kiosks out of the way for the dinner time meet and greet?

I wanted to take a picture of my Mom and I. See, because she cracks up hysterically on rides. However, I didn't center this one, due to us bouncing around. But can I point out the awesomeness that is the slight amount of her face that's visible? Man....if I had gotten her whole face.....
I like the picture of you. You look like you are having the best time ever. :goodvibes

We had a bit of time before our next FP+ window, so what to do, what to do?

Just the bet show ever!

The Country Bears are polarizing. However, I LOVE THEM!!!

Yeti does too!

And the whole reason to see the Country Bears? Big Al!!!!

I mean come on! Where else can you hear songs like "Momma don't whup little Buford", and "Blood on the Saddle"? No where I tell you!

We had a particularly good group this time, because all of the adults were cracking up the entire time. Love it!
We love the Country Bears, too. It is great that it is always a walk on, but also sad, too, that more people don't appreciate the corny jokes and crazy songs.

Love the reaction shots on Big Thunder Mountain! That ride is so much fun!

So sad that Push is no longer around. I was holding out hope that they would work something out at the end with the contract negotiations.

Hi! I have NO idea how I have NEVER read and of your TR's before! You are so funny and entertaining. And I LOVE your make-up and outfits! Unfortunately I didn't take notes as I was reading along and I went to sleep last night before commenting so I have no idea what else I was going to say! I'm definitely here to hear more though!!

Today must be updating Monday on the DIS boards! :cool1:

So - yes - you and your mom have identical eyes. Pretty cool.

Hey - you might not have gotten a good shot on your mom on BTMMR but you got a good one of the photobomber kid in the seat behind you! :rotfl:

Lunch did look great. Glad you got a lunch FP. I really DO want to go there for lunch. Can't wait.

I'd be super excited too if I saw the Mine Training running. Very cool. I mean, you know, once it opens you are never going to see it empty again! :thumbsup2

I have never seen Push and that makes me so sad. No even once. boo!

Monday definitely seemed to be the day to update, right?

Yeah, our eyes are pretty much exactly the same. When I look at younger pictures of her, we're pretty much each others doppelgängers. Other than a few differences.

That kid was too funny! It's part of the reason I love taking completely random pictures.

We definitely won't ever see the Mine Train empty once it opens, that's for sure.

I'm sorry you never saw Push! We honestly didn't see him that many times.

Glad you liked bog lunch better! I think i prefer dinner, but i havent used the fp option at all yet!!

I feel like that sandwich originally had cheese all around the outside and thats why i didn't order it? lol who knows?!

great shots on the rides!!

I think I didn't love dinner there that much because it was underwhelming for me. And for the price you pay, I don't like to be underwhelmed. I mean, I would go back, just not every trip.

Maybe it did originally have that cheese surrounding it before. My Mom would have definitely enjoyed it more if it still had it. LOL.

I am so filling out an application. :rotfl: You are so blessed to have the family you have.
Your mom and I do the same thing, I laugh-scream hysterically the whole time I'm on a rollercoaster, I think my kids think I'm just as entertaining as the roller coaster. :rotfl2: They always get off the ride laughing at me.

I'm so glad you got to try BOG for lunch, it is sooooo much better than the dinner. I'm about to report on our dinner there and it's not going to be good, service was outstanding, but food.....:crazy2:

I love how much you and your family get along, it's really refreshing to see. Especially when you look at my extended family. :rotfl: :scared:
This is why I think of my friends as my family, if you don't have a good family, then make one! :thumbsup2

The Mine Train opening is so exciting and to see it come into action like you did, it's historic!! Think about it....a bunch of us Disers can look back and say I remember when they were building such and such and to know our kids, kids, kids, will ride these attractions for years and years to come really puts things into perspective. :lovestruc

MEK, I never saw PUSH either, not even once. :sad2:

Yay, I'm glad that you're filling out an application! I'll keep my eyes peeled for it!!

My Mom is totally my entertainment when we're on rides. I laugh because she does the laugh/scream the whole time. It makes it exponentially more fun for me. Hahaha!

You can definitely make family out of anyone! We have so much "family" even though they're not related. It makes no difference, right? :goodvibes

It's cool to see this stuff get built. I love it when we have the ability to talk about "oh, you know what used to be there...."

Yay... An update!! I'm loving this TR!! Country bears is one of my favorites too... Just slightly behind HM! Love big al!

I'm very impressed you can take selfies on a roller coaster... I have enough trouble on land!

Still debating whether we'll keep our BOG dinner ressies or not...menu doesn't really grab me for lunch or dinner so maybe we'll just do lunch and have a nice dinner elsewhere...

ANYWHOOO......yes, my family all says this too!!

Keep the report coming please!!!

Big Al is the whole she-bang!!!! He's definitely my favorite.

I just hang on to my phone really tightly and take the selfies. I don't try too hard, because I don't want to lose the phone. :lmao:

It's definitely an experience to see, going to BOG. It's not that any of it was bad, it was just underwhelming for dinner. I would go back though.

That's cool that you ran across PUSH. I never did see him. :sad2:

That is awesome that you saw the Mine Train doing a test run! :cool1: So excited for that ride!

Ha, that is an odd feeling in the BOG FP line, just strolling on by everyone. Kinda fun, though. Knowing they probably are wondering how you got to be so special. :rotfl:

Glad you had a great lunch at BOG. We enjoyed it too.

And yay for a ride on Big Thunder. Nice pictures!

A few people have said already that they've never seen Push! Honestly, I didn't see him that many times in all the trips I've taken.

I was thinking that people were probably saying "what makes them so special" when we were walking past them at BOG. It kind of made me chuckle.

Jumping in on these shenanigans a bit late (and all caught up)! :mickeyjum But better late than never.

I've really missed your TRs. You and your family just crack me up. And I was really sad to hear when you said "the last time I would see PUSH". I never knew they got rid of him. I was hoping to try and meet him on my next trip. Boo. Oh well.

Love the photos of your mom on BTMRR! I feel like my mom makes the exact same faces on roller coasters lol And I'm so happy to know once again that I'm not alone in the Country Bears Lovin' Club. Literally, best show ever. :goodvibes

Glad you're here Timmy!

You didn't know they got rid of Push? Oh dear. Yeah, apparently the independent contractor ended their agreement. I believe they tried to get it to work on Disney's side, but it just didn't end up wiring out.

You are certainly not alone in the Country Bears Lovin' club. It's amazing.

Awwww PUSH!!!!!! I'm sure so many people never had the pleasure of seeing this living legend and now he's gone. Which makes me so sad.

Oh Dani, that's not weird at al. I totally would have broken out the Carlton. I do it now for much much less.

Yeah, not gonna lie. I had no issue walking by everyone with my FP+. I figure they all could have gotten one if they tried, so guilt free me.

I haven't done BoG for Dinner, but honestly, the only reason I can see doing it for me is to meet Beast. Other than that, I'm sure I'd prefer lunch which I thought was fab-u-lous.

Your Frontierland shots remind me that no matter how many times I've walked around MK, every trip I see something from a different angle and it just feels brand new.

The BTMM FP+ return didn't look too chaotic in your photo. Maybe they've finally figured out a fix.

Yup, just let us know where to send the applications. Mine's all filled out.

COUNTRY BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can people possibly not adore this?

It makes me sad too that he's gone. However, I always hold out hope that Disney will typically do something to balance it out in the end. It may not happen today, but at some point I think it will. Call me an optimist.

I break out the Carlton all the time. I have also been known to break out the Running Man at work.....

Meeting the Beast is definitely a reason to do dinner. The food is good, don't get me wrong. I think maybe my expectations were built up a little high for it.

That's the beauty of Disney, right? Something new every time you go.

The FP+ return at BTMRR was not bad at all. We walked right in.

I will PM you where to send the app. :rotfl:

Honestly, I have no idea why Country Bears isn't regularly jam packed. I chock it up to the fact that people today seem to not have a good sense of humor.

Oh, PUSH! I'll miss that little trash can. He was just such a special little touch to MK.
Um yeah, sometimes I break out the Carlton when a song gets in my head so... No judgement for using it on seeing the mine train going!
Mmm I love BOG, we had two great meals there. Glad you all enjoyed yours!
LOVE the BTMRR on ride pics!
If I didn't love my own family so much, I'd apply to join yours. :rotfl:

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

The Carlton is the best dance ever! It has so many uses.

We really enjoyed our lunch at BOG and we definitely want to go back.

I haven't eaten dinner at BOG, but I agree with you, the lunches are really good. Those fries....:goodvibes

Progress on the Mine Train! If they're running the cars (several months ago, at that) then the opening can't be too terribly far away. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll at least have a soft opening by our May trips. :thumbsup2

I think you can tell from the pictures you did manage to take on Thunder that your mom was having a good time. The smile was evident! :rotfl:

The fries were really good! As a fry aficionado, I was impressed!

The estimates on the Mine Train are that the Media Preview is planned for the end of April until May 2nd. Sooooo, it should go into soft opening after the media preview. :goodvibes

She was definitely having a great time on BTMRR.

Okay, I finally got a couple updates done to my TR and got responses done, so I'm catching up everywhere else again.

I am SO upset about PUSH. Disney is just taking away too many of our fondest memories. :(

I am so glad you enjoyed lunch at BOG. Mark and I are going to FP+ it for our September trip.

I can't wait to do the Mine Ride in May/June.

My application to join your family is in the mail.

The pictures of your dad and mom on Big Thunder have me :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Mark and I really enjoy Country Bears...where else can you laugh at dumb songs?

I'm pretty sad about Push too, but I understand that there were complications with the outside vendor. I'm wondering if they just pushed too hard. Hahaha. Okay, that was unintentionally punny. :rotfl:

I'll look out for your application!

That's exactly how we feel about Country Bears! You can get a good chuckle, the kids don't get it....everything is right in the world.

Me, me, pick me!!! I want to be part of your family!!! party:

:thumbsup2

PUSH :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc so sad he's gone now.

MY CASTLE! I miss it so much.

That's really interesting about the croque monsieur! It's my go-to at BOG but the legitimate one looks even better. And the grey stuff cupcake is amazing!

Hahaha I will gladly apply to be part of your family. If there's an essay portion I'll rock it.

I'm sure that you'll be back to your castle soon.

Ugh, the grey stuff cupcake is so good! It didn't tip the scale of my beloved red velvet, but it was pretty good.

There is definitely an essay portion on my application. The question to answer is - describe your "crazy". :lmao:

We were disappointed with lunch. Basically because my mom and I were expecting a real croque monsieur like you posted. But dessert is always good hehe

I love the first pic of you going down the hill on btmr! You look beautiful!

Was the sound good when you went to see the country bears? Last time I went I thought the sound was awful. I could barely understand.

My lunch I have to say was really good! Mom liked her croque monsieur, we just agreed that it's misleading to call it "croque monsieur", when it's just a toasted ham and cheese.

Awww, thanks.

The sound was fine when we were there. However, I have been there before when the sound hasn't been the greatest.

Hahahahaha. No worries! I've done that before.

Thanks! I loved creating that look. It was definitely the most original one I came up with I think.

There is indeed a volcano room in Buzz. It comes up on you very quickly. The secret to the red dot? You have to listen to the sound in your car that signifies your laser. And then you can time it. :thumbsup2 I have issues, clearly.....

I'm sure your traveling companion would be sad not to see the Beast. It's definitely a plus with going to dinner there.

Game face by far helps with your ability to score well on Buzz. I highly recommend it. Yeah, Pop's game face was definitely lacking just a bit.

I did only feel bad for 2 seconds, I'm not going to lie. :rotfl:

Those Ariel leggings came from Target! And you can still get them online if I'm not mistaken.

The first couple of miles is indeed always the hardest. :rotfl:

I love Country Bear Jamboree! I had the LP record of the entire show that my parents gave to me and my brothers in the 70's, and memorized it.:thumbsup2

That's awesome that you have the LP! We have a bunch of LP's from various Disney things, but I'm not sure if Country Bears is one of them....:confused3

All caught up!

Love hearing about your family's craziness!

Can't wait for May!

Hi! I have to get caught up on yours!

Yeah, we're pretty silly. I don't see the point in being "normal" on my downtime, when I have to concentrate so hard on it at work. :lmao:

I can't wait for May either! Or to follow along on your CP journey!

I LOVED this update!!!! The slush fund story...omg, I snorted right along with your mom (loose nasal passages).

I STILL have not yet seen Country Bears...but, Blood in the Saddle...I have to make it a priority now.

;)

YES! Someone else who finds humor in the slush fund! Sometimes, people don't quite get my humor. :lmao:

You have to see it! My personal favorite is "Momma Don't Whup Little Buford", but "Blood On the Saddle" is pretty great.

:lmao:

Dinner for us was not horrible. I just didn't particularly enjoy mine, so I think the next time we would go, I would try something different.

I hope something new in regards to Push comes back. Disney always has something up their sleeve, and I'm sure they can develop something.

We saw Push a couple of times in January. It is sad that he is gone now because he was funny.

I love the braised pork, too. Thanks for the information on the meet and greet area. I had been wondering where it was and I never would have guessed that it was in the lunch time ordering room. Do they roll the kiosks out of the way for the dinner time meet and greet?

I like the picture of you. You look like you are having the best time ever. :goodvibes

We love the Country Bears, too. It is great that it is always a walk on, but also sad, too, that more people don't appreciate the corny jokes and crazy songs.

Push was always humorous to me. Cracked me up every time.

They actually don't roll away the kiosks. They use them to kind of keep people in line. Kind of interesting.

Country Bears is always such a fun diversion for us. No wait, and always a good time.

Love the reaction shots on Big Thunder Mountain! That ride is so much fun!

So sad that Push is no longer around. I was holding out hope that they would work something out at the end with the contract negotiations.

That ride is tons of fun!

I was hoping they would work something out, but I always hold out hope that Disney has something in their pocket that they're working on.

Well then :welcome:

I'm glad you're here! I try to be entertaining as often as I can. Life it just too short, right?

For me the lunch was better than dinner too. BOG is a great place to eat. I will do it again for sure.

Day 4 - Monday January 20, 2014 Continued.

After watching The Country Bear Jamboree, we headed out into the sunlight and happened upon a ho-down!!!!!

I remember the first time I stumbled across this thing. It wasn't that many years ago. And we were walking through Frontierland and lo and behold....there's a ho-down going on. I loved it. And my ever Disney-loving mind was surprised that I had NO IDEA that it was there. You learn something new from Disney every day.

Listen, any day you can see Big Al dancing is a good day in my book. Wouldn't that be an awesome job? Dressing up as Big Al and just dancing around?

After watching the characters dance around like fools, it was time to move on.

Where's my hat?!

Of course I'm a fan of this show! Epic Donald fan that I am. Who doesn't love Duck Butt? Crazy people maybe. Or baby ducks possibly when they see their mom's butt descending upon their heads.....

Wwweeeiiiirrrdoooooossss.

Of course we know how it ends. Donald reeks havoc, Mickey gets his hat back, and Donald flies through the wall. All in a normal day, right?

And just around the corner is a Fantasyland....I mean a Peter Pan! It was time for our FP+ return.

The croc is all nonchalant here, like "hey.....just fly into my mouth....that's right....."

I have extremely depressing news everyone. Now that my hair is red and not platinum blonde....it doesn't glow in the dark anymore. :sad2:

Ohhh, my leggings glowed though.

Yeti still glows. Comes with the territory of being perpetually white.

The rest of my pictures that I attempted to take throughout the ride were miserable. I'm no photographer though, so I really don't have very high expectations.

Peter Pan is my Mom's favorite ride, and now I feel with FP+ we'll probably go on it more than we did in the past.

I decided at this point that some LeFou's Brew was in order. I didn't get the opportunity to get any in July. So it was on my "must eat" list for this trip. I was planning on meeting Gaston too. Well...that didn't work out so well. His line was closed off when we got there. Dangit Gaston!

So many brews to choose from!

I need his personal decorator. These choices are just amazing for decor. I need this in my house.

THE chair....some pictures are taken in this chair later in the trip.

And of course....the Foo's Boo. Amazing stuff really. In Disneyland, they have something similar that's called a Boysen Apple Freeze. If I'm being honest, I prefer that one. The major difference is that instead of passion fruit foam, they put boysenberry in the drink. It's pretty yummy. However, the Foo's Boo is pretty great too.

This is where the infamous Foo's Boo came to be. Because my Mom seriously kept on calling it that.

"Man that Foo's Boo is great!"

I reminded her gently like a good daughter that it's LeFou's Brew (read: I slapped her and shouted LEFOU'S BREW until she got it right).

The original plan after this was to head over to Epcot for the night after chilling for a bit. So, we headed out of the park to go back to the resort. Remember, I'm all for mid-day breaks.

Not without stopping for some PP pictures though. :thumbsup2

Yeah, we're totally holding our drinks. I don't care about the "perfect" picture.

On the way out of the park though, we got to see the Dapper Dan's put on a show! It's the Disney touches people.
