Why did Goofy's Kitchen switch from a variety of characters to just The Fab Five?

I can remember when Goofy's Kitchen was THE big choice for character dining because you could meet and greet with an impressive variety of characters ranging from Aladdin and Jasmine Alice In Wonderland and The Mad Hatter Snow White and Baloo in addition to The Fab Five. But I cannot understand why Goofy's Kitchen has done away with the character variety and seems to focus on just solely The Fab Five? Is it because people seem to like character dining with The Fab Five or did Goofy's Kitchen plan to change the image of it's character dining to attract more visitors? I get people like character dining with Mickey Mouse Minnie Mouse Donald Duck Daisy Duck Goofy and Pluto but if you're a popular restaurant in Disneyland Hotel for character dining you need to add character variety and not focus so much on The Fab Five. I mainly think in my eyes why Goofy's Kitchen decided to do this change was due to money and they also needed to focus on their food. But I think Goofy's Kitchen needs to add a variety of characters such as Cinderella Tiana Wreck-It Ralph Joy and Sadness and perhaps add two various Marvel characters would be cool to add to the lineup for Goofy's Kitchen's character dining

We were there in 2019, and it was Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, Chip & Dale and probably Pluto. Because the name of the restaurant is Goofy’s Kitchen, I wouldn’t expect to see anyone else.

the paradise pier had a character breakfast with a variety of characters back in the day, we would take pictures with many you mentioned, also they would do a limbo and minnie held my hand many times

We have been lucky to do many of the character meals of the past-

Ariel's Grotto before it became lamplight lounge (much more affordable princess meal)
Paradise pier used to have surfs up with Mickey, stitch, lilo and the gang..
Donald's seaside which is no longer there..

And we have done all the current ones.

I often do not understand why Disney doesn't tap into more character meals with unique themes. Like a Pixar b character breakfast- that stuff would constantly be sold out .

To me Goofy's Kitchen should've kept Alice In Wonderland The Mad Hatter Baloo Aladdin and Jasmine and replaced Snow White with Ariel or Princess Aurora because although Snow White is popular another princess would've been great to see at Goofy's Kitchen but I think why Alice In Wonderland The Mad Hatter Aladdin and Jasmine Baloo and Snow White no longer were part of the character roster at Goofy's Kitchen was because in my eyes Goofy's Kitchen didn't want to pay the character actors any more money and so when these characters left Goofy's Kitchen's character roster Goofy's Kitchen started losing customers because kids loved those characters but when they began to focus on The Fab Five as their current character roster that's when Goofy's Kitchen went downhill and if I was going there right now with a family of my own I would be so disappointed as well as my kids expecting to see more character variety at Goofy's Kitchen

we go for dinner and every time the line is packed and the restaurant is packed, my kids loveeee it so they are doing a great job with the kid audience, they always give us plenty of time with interaction and we enjoy not waiting in park lines to see the main characters, overall its a must do for us each visit
