Thanksgiving week, Which day to go?

This is our first trip to universal in orlando. We will be there for 16 day and plan to go to universal during Thanksgiving week. I need to Know if Thanksgiving day is a no-no or a go. I figure that Black Friday is a no-no. also, what are the best days of this week to go to the parks. and, a good guide book on universal would help.

What's Black Friday???? I'm planning on going to Universal Studios on Friday 26th November. Is that a no no?

Black friday is the day after Thanksgiving.

The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving are horribly crowded. Any other day during Thanksgiving week are fine including Thanksgiving day.

We were there last year from the Friday before Thanksgiving till Thanksgiving Day. It gradually got more crowded as the week went on but it never was too crowded. It seemed tha Thanksgiving Day was the most crowded for us. It was great going right before Thanksgiving!

This is good to hear. As homeschoolers we always go at odd times. But, this trip my son's PS friends will be joining us and can only go during T-break. I've really been dreading that since I'm so spoiled by going at other times.

We are going the Friday & Saturday after Thanksgiving too -- with the FOTL option do you still think we will have to wait in long lines?

We're planning on being there Thanksgiving Day and doing the 1 Day/2 Park plan. I'm hoping the crowds won't be too bad so we will be able to get everything done that we want to do. I'm planning on going before opening and staying until closing. I'll need the next morning to recoop!
