Thanksgiving week crowd question??

We recently went to Disneyland during Thanksgiving week (M-F). We noticed that the only day that had huge crowds was on Thanksgiving Day itself. We left for home early Friday, so we didn't experience what it was like thru the weekend following Thanksgiving.

For those of you that went to WDW during Thanksgiving week- how were the crowds the weekend prior until Thanksgiving day? We are thinking about going the weekend prior thru Thanksgiving Day. The only other times of the year we could go would be when the kids are out of school, so no matter what we might run into crowds.

We visited WDW during Thanksgiving 2005, arrived the Saturday before, and stayed till the Saturday after. The first weekend I would say was a normal weekend crowd. Then Monday and most of Tuesday were fine, no problems but Tuesday late afternoon, it started to get very crowded and stayed that way the rest of the week.

I probably would not go back during the week, but we did love seeing all the parks decorated for Christmas, and the Osborne lights were fantastic.!!!!

If you arrive on Saturday after Thanksgiving, how are the crowds that weekend. We are thinking about driving down on the Friday after Thanksgiving and starting in the parks that Saturday.

When are the parks and resorts decorated for Christmas?

At Disneyland the park was decorated for Christmas the week of Thanksgiving when we arrived. I think would think both WDW and DL must decorate a couple weeks before Thanksgving?? Anyone??

we arrived the monday after thanksgiving and returned home friday afternoon. the xmas decorations were up everywhere. we usually go the first week in december, light crowds and beautiful decorations. this last trip was amazing, (right after thanksgiving) the parks were pretty empty, hardly no waits for anything, it was a great trip. hope that helped.
