We are going to WDW on Saturday ( 11/18 ) :cool1: and returning on Turkey Day. I was wondering about crowds there during those times.

Anyone been during Thanksgiving week and what the crowds are? I'm hoping that it will be busy T-Day thru the following weekend. Any experience in this will help.

Thanks.

Last year, we arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving and it didn't start to get crowded until Wednesday. That day was very busy at the AK...
We spent Thanksgiving Day at MGM and while it was crowded, it was definitely manageable. We were able to do everything that we wanted and had a feast at H&V...finished the day with the Osbourne Lights and Fantasmic! It was a great day! :goodvibes
Friday (the day after) was extremely busy at Epcot WS! Good thing that we had already done FW earlier in the week, I wouldn't have wanted to wait in line for rides that day!
Have a great trip! We will definitely be going again for Thanksgiving! Weather was pleasant, but not scorching and the crowds were bearable! :teeth:

To second what Minnierocks said, it will get busier each day you are there, but you will miss the really big crowds.

Enjoy your trip!

Thats what I kinda figured, but just wanted some confirmation. Thanks Bob and Minnierocks.

Minnie, we hope to have at least a sliver of much fun as you did on your wild adventure. I must admit, I am a little jealous of your family, but we'll have a ton of fun anyway.

Thanks for the info.

I'm going to find out on this trip!!! Have heard that T-day is one of the busiest all year, but that the days before are not too bad. We're staying til Saturday, and are anticipating crowds (but last year we went at Christmas, and I don't expect it to be worse than that). Have fun -- we'll be sporting DIS lime green -- so give us a wave!

I am arriving on 11/18 as well. We went last year at this same time.
The only really busy day was Monday at MK. will not go on Monday this
year. The only ride that had an extremely long wait without fast pass
was soaring. Will make sure to get to Epcot to get fast pass. At
3 pm all passes given out for day on Tuesday and Friday.
Have a great trip.

Our family has been to WDW for Thanksgiving in 2003 & 2004. It was absolutely in my opinion the worst time to be there. The parks were so crowded (especially on T-day) that is was impossible to move (and we have twins so had a dbl. stroller). We had confirmed dinner reservations at a restaurant in MK for 7pm...we weren't seated until after 9pm...kids were asleep by this time. Anyway, we love Disney, but this year our family of 14 total, decided to go an entire week after the T-day holiday. I read somewhere that this is the least busiest time for Disney. We are really looking forward to our trip this year as our twins are almost 4 and we want to get the most out of our week-long visit.

SincerelySusie,

We will be there at the same time as you guys. :) We fly out on the 25th and return the 2nd. Though I am not sure what day we will actually be "in" disney. I think we are only planning on doing MK. My DS is 2.5 and I am sure he will have a fantastic time. I am more excited to watch him then anything else. LOL

Have a great time!!

We will be there from the 29th until the 5th. We live only 3 hours away and have annual passes so we will probably visit all of the parks this time during our visit. Is this your DS's first trip? We took our twins for the first time when they were 10 months old and have been back at least once a year since then, but this trip will make No. 2 for us this year. You are right about the excitement of watching our children. That makes everything worthwhile. Hope you all have a magical time too! :goofy:

How awesome to live so close!! This will be DS's first time, he is very excited about the plane ride and seeing Mickey's house. LOL I hope your family has a wonderful trip as well!!
