Artist's Palette had a really good counter service type T-giving meal last T-giving. Our family group of 7 had our "all together" T-giving dinner at Don Shula's at the Swan, at about 5--when I booked it, they assured me they'd be serving a traditional turkey meal...when we got there, all they had was steak. It was good steak, but I left feeling a little cranky over not having been able to get my traditional turkey & stuffing & pumpkin pie...we finished in time to head over to Fantasmic, which blew the crankies out of my system!
Then, when we got back to SSR (around 9:30 or so), I stopped by Artist's Palette for some snacks and saw they were serving (for $10 no less!) a traditional turkey meal w/all the trimmings...I bought one and sat down and savored it...it looked and tasted like "real turkey" (not the pressed meat stuff that's so common at fast-food places), stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, roll, pumpkin pie...it was delicious and it made me SO happy to get it! T-giving for me just isn't T-giving w/out turkey!
T-giving meals will be hard to book at this point...last year our group "grew" from 3 to 7 in September, and there was almost no restaurant we could book when I tried to increase our reservation (Shula's, while good, was not on the
DDP which was an issue, and I wouldn't have booked it had they not told me they would be serving a roast turkey meal)...
So, I was thrilled to discover Artist's Palette's offering...this year there's only two of us going (so far), but I "fear" more family will decide to join us at the last minute...knowing Artist's Palette has a very good turkey meal available gives me "peace of mind" that we'll be able to eat our traditional T-giving meal together, even if more family arrives and we have to give up our CA Grill reservation!
Anyway...I think if you are unable to find a sit-down restaurant that "suits" your time frame, food choices, and budget, you'll be quite happy with the traditional turkey meal served by Artist's Palette...
