We will be staying at HRH over Thanksgiving before heading to DW. What restaurant would you recommend for Thanksgiving dinner? I'm hoping for the traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. Also, do you know how far out they take reservations? Thanks for any help.

Good idea, we did this last year (although at RPR)!

We were going to do the Emeril's restaurant or one of the other nicer places, but we ended up seeing a flyer in the Club Lounge for the room-service Thanksgiving dinner at RPR. It was GREAT!! (Unbelievable actually.) The only problem was it was pretty expensive. Also, I'm not sure if HRH does something like this.

Here's our dinner from last year:

We did ask about it at Emeril's but they were already booked (and this was I think a couple days in advance), so if you plan on doing a restaurant I would try to book it early!

Hopefully someone else will chime in with other ideas.

Have a great time!

If you want to walk over to the Portofino, Mama Della's does a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Trattoria does an absolutely incredible buffet. There are a couple of rooms of food, ranging from traditional turkey and gravy to a pasta bar, a seafood bar, and much more.

We made our reservations about a month in advance.

That sounds delicious. Where is Trattoria?

Also, does anyone know if HRH offers anything special? I know it's super early, but we are used to having to make plans way in advance at Disney, so I'm thinking about it now. Thanks for the help!

I agree with Goofy! We ate Thanksgiving dinner last year at Trattoria and it was one of the best meals we have ever had! They have every traditonal Thanksgiving food you can name and then some. They had a turkey and a prime rib carving station. They had the seafood table and a pasta station cooked to order. They had a huge assortment of salads, fruits and breads. The desserts were incredible!! There must have been over 30 things to choose from. My husband loved the individual pumpkin and apple pies.
It ran from noon till 8 p.m. We arrived at 6 p.m. and the food looked like they had just put everything out. It never ran low. We stayed till 8:30. Our server was the best in the world(Mohammad) He took such good care of our son(who is autistic). He brought him out special things from the kitchen he knew he liked. The view of the bay was beautiful and the Christmas tree was up in the harbor. We plan on doing it again this year.

It is sooo good isn't it? :cool1:

We were so bummed this past Thanksgiving when we had to fly back on Thursday afternoon and I had to cancel our 7pm reservations. Kid's schedules. DS17 is working on a senior research project with a couple of colleges that he had to get back for.

I just renewed our annual passes, so hopefully this year again.
