Bumping this. They told me Whispering Canyon would have a special meal when I booked, but still no clue what it IS. Hopefully something my DD will like.

We'll be taking our second trip to WDW over Thanksgiving next week, so I'm interested in this also. Last time we didn't schedule any meals but the character dining ahead of time and could not get a table at any of the parks.

As a result we spent Thanksgiving Day at (now) Disney Springs. The Wolfgang Puck restaurant had a special Thanksgiving Meal which was really good. However it would be better if we could find something in the parks.

And you won't again this year unless you already have made an ADR. In Park Restaurants often fill to capacity months in advance. That plus it is one of the busiest weeks of the year, and I am sure your only chance is to keep hoping and looking for a cancellation.

We did :)... weren't going to make the same mistake twice.

However if there were special meals offered on Thanksgiving then I'll keep my eye out for cancellations.

Not directly related to this, but I have to share our Thanksgiving dinner experience at Disney, many years ago. Being the newbies we were, we had no idea how any of the ADRs worked, or that they even existed. We went to Magic Kingdom that day, and around 2:00pm decided to just waltz up to Cinderalla's Royal Table and asked how long the wait would be for dinner. The CM looked at me like I had 5 heads, and pretty much said "for Thanksgiving dinner? About 1 year" LOL

It was then I started realizing how much advance planning went into a Disney vacation. I started to panic, thinking I had ruined Thanksgiving for my family (my wife and 2 daughters, then ages 12 and 5). I called a bunch of places and got the same response.

We decided to trudge back to the resort (All-Star Music) to figure out what to do. We passed the cafeteria on the way, and I decided to check in to see what they were offering. They had a full Thanksgiving meal, so we ordered 4 of them. It came out looking like a school lunch, but was actually pretty tasty. I thought my kids were going to hate me, but we laughed and had a good time the entire dinner. At the end they said it was definitely a memory they'd never forget, and they haven't! Every year around this time someone brings up that day, and we laugh again.

We went down the following Thanksgiving, and I made sure to make plans way in advance! We had dinner at Rose & Crown, and they even picked my daughter to "start" Illuminations from their deck afterwards. Another great Thanksgiving Experience!

I guess just like everywhere else Disney is slowly doing away with thanksgiving.. I remember when you had Turkey Dinners everywhere on property... With the exception of course of places like Teppan Edo. I remember eating at Ohana on Thanksgiving many times.. Now though they claim many places will have Thanksgiving Im not finding any.. I know is slims picking but Im hopeful cancellations will happen.. It be nice if they at least posted prices or Menus.

your best bet is calling them directly.. All i found online was the list of restaurants that will have some sort of thanksgiving meal.

When I called they could not give me a price for the Thanksgiving dinner at The Wave, she told me one wasnt shown. The Wave will be a buffet only, no order off the regular menu, which is not what I was looking for for a meal. I cancelled and managed to get a dinner at Skipper Canteen thankfully, there wasnt much left to choose from. I ran across a CRT for about the time I needed, but then discovered how much that meal was and decided to keep what I had.
