(I'm actually posting this for a friend....)

Would 2 single guys age 25 and 28 (not gay) feel really strange on the Magic 5 night cruise over Thanksgiving ?? I wasn't sure if it was predominantly familes over this Holiday or maybe families stay home with other relatives over Thanksgiving ?

The other deal breaker would be if there aren't 2 beds, I think I read that they were going away from 2 twin beds to 1 queen size.

Any opinions are appreciated.

Well, yes, the Magic (who prior to her dry dock has queen beds that could split into twins), will have an unsplittable queen bed in the room. The other beds are the sofa (not a typical pull out sofa, more like a Pullman drop down bed), or (possibly) an upper pull down bunk.

IMO, if you like Disney, I don't think that it would be odd for 2 friends to travel together. I just think it's unfair that, by sharing a room, one of you gets a "real" bed and the other doesn't. That's something that I think DCL did wrong.

Over any holiday, on DCL, I think you're going to see a lot of families.

There are activities planned for young adults (not sure if it goes up to 28). But unless you're a big Disney fan, I'm not sure it's the right cruise for you, honestly...

If you'd be going with your significant others, then it would be another story...

On our Dream 3 day in April, my honey ended up spending the majority of the time with our bro in law doing mid ship detective etc. They had a blast. But their wives were also on board, but this wife was busy with Twinkie most of the time!

There is plenty to do, that's for sure. At least on the Dream. 3D movies, Aquaduck (guess Dunk for you) the great dining, the adult karaoke was fun (we liked the Family better but still had fun at the adult lounge and they had line dancing like "wobble wobble" afterward that was fun too.)

I like it much more than any Carnival I've been on, and that's usually the "party people" scene. But there is only trivia basically during the day, (or bean bag toss), and no one shows up for the deck parties, not sure where the party people are (maybe passed out in their rooms from drinking on deck all day, I don't know? I mean that as nice as possible since we have experienced that with others who were in neighbor staterooms on CCL?)

Besides, Castaway is awesome. That's like going to another Disney park.

I'm sure if my honey could, he would go on a cruise with a buddy for sure. They spent the day themselves at Nassau while we 'family' went to Blue Lagoon.

I can't speak specifically to the Magic, but if it's as fun as the Dream, I say everybody deserves a rockin vacation in whatever form they like. I can't speak to the rooms tho. You could always swap who gets the queen and who gets the bunk each night! In our room, there was a curtain divider for privacy (but you could both still see the TV! cool.) and separated showers and commodes so that would make things a lot less unpleasant.

If you are into sports, the sports bar is always an option. November is a good time (NFL, NBA and NHL).

If you can figure out the sleeping arrangements I’d say go for it. I’m 30’s male and just did a DCL cruise . There was enough stuff to stay busy with and the treatmeant was first class. There are a lot of familes on board but the kids were off doing childrens activities so there were allways other adults around to talk with . So I wouldn't see a problem with 2 friends going.

If they like Disney-go for it! Lots of adult activities and fun stuff to do on ship plus ports

I've gone on lots of trips with friends, men and women, and we've all platonically shared beds. Men with men, women with women, men with women.

These guys are large, both at least 6 ft. tall so bed situation was the deal breaker. They decided against Disney Magic and looking into other lines with 2 beds.

They're both scuba divers so enjoy cruising since they can't fly for 24 hours (? or so) after diving.
