hi Laura, yeah i would think they are all going to i made them all up a package for them to do the fish extenders as well i figured getting little things is fun but so is putting them into other people's my daugter keeps telling me that she is gonna be the disney cruise secret santa ha ha ha

An FYI for the folks in the kids' clubs - they can get in a lot of trouble if they accept cash...we usually bring a stack of phone cards or common gift cards like barnes and noble, especially since our son practically lives at the clubs.

As for the fish, Lisa may find something to hang, but sewing not our forte.

And then there is always Turkey tag w/a magnetic turkey. If you find it on your door, sign off and pass it along...gets tough after awhile to find someone new.

you said pre paid phone cards or common gift cards but you didnt say approx how much you put on them, i looked into that tipping link wow that was great i put the info in and it told me approx what to tip who that was a great idea thanks again

i found apacking list on here today did you all pack all these things flashlights, a knife for your room,alarm clocks clothes pins,extension cords,ect ? i just keep thinking they said pack and then take 1/2 out is it to fit all these other things in

I know we have a few first time cruisers. This website was helpful to us in preparing the tips. Others may find it helpful too. We also usually tip the staff in the Lab as well with phone card or CASH..

I found the ultimate packing list,too. And I'm one of those that thinks, but what if I need this, I'll be honest I do have a bag of all that kind of stuff. I mean we will be gone a whole week. But I always overpack!!

I think some people over prepare. I have never needed a flash lite, or a knife alarm clock ( hey this is vacation plus you can request a wake up call). unless you have a cat 3 or higher space is a premium.

Btw I lurked on the cruise meets for the week after our cruise.. you would not believe how many post these guys have, it puts us to shame. Not to mention they were making fun of our lack of participation Oh well we are going to have a great time.

Hi all...we may have a "lack of participation compared to the group sailing after us...but we have a strong core group ! I can't wait to meet you all...and actually, I think our group is bigger...particuarly when you look at all the multiple rooms people have in their groups...its just that we're the chatty ones!

i really cant believe there is only 22 days time flys, i have a bin of all the suggested things i have read so that they are all in one place, i decided to get new suitcases ( we really needed new ones) i got some pretty off colors so we will be able to spot our bags a bit faster now with my luck there will be a load of people that have hot pink and lime green luggage. i guess that is where the duct tape will come in handy ha ha

Yes, some people definitely do over-prepare (and over pack) for a cruise. I've seen the weirdest comments about things people bring...like a blender for making frozen drinks...a small fold-up table for their verandah...a bazillion power strips to plug in all those electrical gadgets...sheesh!

Personally, I've never brought an alarm clock (I'm on vacation)...though I do bring my iPod and speaker doc which I use as an alarm to wake me up before the wake up call (DS thinks that a wake up call is really cool...he's been at WDW too many times!). I always bring the over the door shoe thing...it really helps keep all our junk organized. This time I'll also have to bring an extension cord because Goofy has gone and joined the ranks of the "hosehead" clan and now uses a cpap machine.

OK...I guess now, I'm in the ranks of those who over-prepare! But I won't bring a knife alarm clock or any duct tape! If my suitcase breaks, I'll just have to borrow some from someone!

Now, back to doing something productive...like work!
