Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Thanks so much, Karen!! :cool1:

I always bring the shoe holder - it's great for keeping a lot of our "stuff" like our room keys, sunglasses, etc. in an easy to find place.

I never brought duct tape. I think they've put velcro on all of the doors now so they don't open and shut during the night.

On our last night of our last cruise, I couldn't figure out what kept making these windchime type sounds. It was driving me crazy and I couldn't sleep. I finally figured out that since the closets were now empty, all of the hangers were clanging together! I was ready to yell like Joan Crawford, "NO.....WIRE....HANGERS!!!!!!!!!!"

Here is the question of the day.... You get on the boat, head up to topsiders buffet what are you going to load up on? For me it will be piles of shrimp:thumbsup2 for my wife it will be one of every dessert she can carry:rotfl2:

The first person to respond has to come up with and post tomorrows question of the day. Lets see if we can make a game out of this>

Doing my part to get to 2,000... The website below is recommended by many on "Packing Light". Our Family has gotten better over the years and we bring on much less. We bring a small rolly suitcase with items for fish extenders and decorations and then fill it up with items we buy on the trip.

I will try to post some tips other have sent us to help with our post numbers.

Holiday Celebrations Planned

Thanksgiving: Cruise guests sailing on Thanksgiving Day will be treated to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. "Pilgrim" Mickey and Minnie will make appearances

Christmas: Starting in late November, the Disney terminal and cruise ships will be decked out in holiday finery. The ship's atrium will feature a three story tall tree and you can expect to find "Santa Goofy" onboard. Castaway Cay will have falling 'snow', Christmas trees, tropical Snowmen, Carolers and the trams will have a fun reindeer theme.

Disney Magic Character Breakfast
The Disney Magic Character Breakfast is now "Mickey's Island Jam." Guests will be invited to join in the fun with Mickey and Friends as they dance and play to a Caribbean beat.

Disney Dreams Stage Show and Sail Away Party Enhanced
The award winning "Disney Dreams" stage show has become "Disney Dreams...An Enchanted Classic." Timon and Pumbaa will be making their debut aboard the Disney Cruise Line when they appear as part of the Lion King's "I Just Can't Wait to be King" and "Hakuna Matata" numbers.

During the "Beauty and the Beast" number, you'll have "snow" falling from above while sparkling pyrotechnics enhance Cinderella's transformation from rags to radiance.

Best of all, Tinkerbell will "fly" overhead leaving a glittery trail of "pixie dust" in her path.

On both ships the summer voyages will kick off an expanded Sail Away Party. The interactive dances will feature new music, the Disney characters and the "Ariel Vision" jumbo screen. It might be you seen dancing on the big screen among the special effects planned during this celebration.

Ok, I'll be heading to Parrot Cay and loading up on the shrimp there, so we don't have to have a fight over the buffet at Topsiders. :teeth:

This is a fun game! I'll think of another good question for tomorrow. :thumbsup2

thank you for that list some of the things i was reading on here was a little nust such as windex wipes and kitchen knife, flashlight just all seemed a little much so thanks for the suggestion it was helpful

Oh Laura...that was so funny....NO WIRE HANGARS!!!! :rotfl2: I had the same thing happen on our last cruise and I promised myself that the hanging stuff in the garment bag would be on plastic hangars this time out. I remember roaming the (very dark inside) room at about 3 in the morning wondering what in the world that sound was that was driving me nuts and wishing that I had actually packed a flashlight. My husband thought I was nuts when I began using the light from the iPod and roaming the room so I wouldn't kill myself on the kids shoes that are inevitably left out (and that I had already stumbled over twice). Thanks for the reminder!

On another note...no fair posting something like that though when I'm eating lunch...I nearly had to clean off my computer screen! Of course my co-workers are wondering why I'm choking so hard and laughing at the same time. Needless to say, they already know I'm nuts so it's OK.

Vacation and family memories. Why is it the really funny ones are the ones that, at the moment they occurred, were the ones that made you nuts!

Karen

As far as Pirate night goes, I don't recall seeing lots of people dressed up as pirates, but I think it looks awesome! My group will more than likely be dressed with Pittsburgh Pirates gear, since that's where we are from. (And they are also my employer. :teeth:)
