Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Melinda-

I have heard great reports about the massages too. However, so far, we have not experienced any of the massages. We looked at the area and it looks very nice. :thumbsup2 However, even after 3 magical cruises, it never seems like we have enough time to do everything!!

Lisa, It's funny because I've heard don't bother with a 3 or 4 day cruise because you just start having fun when it's time to leave. And I'm starting to think that a 7 day isn't enough time either. There's just so much to choose & do. It's hard because the bottom line is you just want to relax and not over schedule yourself.:cool2: It's like at WDW, you have to prioritize because you can't see it all. Now I know why you keep rebooking a DCL cruise.:) Thanks for all the info, Melinda

Hi Turkey day cruisers!

We just returned yesterday from RCCL's Adventure of the Seas. (Southern Caribbean.) Each time we visit St. Maarten and St. Thomas, we're reminded why they're our favorite ports. We can't seem to get enough!

That said, we'll know in the next day or so if we're going to switch this Thanksgiving sailing for the eastern Caribbean sailing over spring break. I almost feel as if it's fate. This will be the first time in 5 years that the eastern itinerary has fallen over Rachel's spring break. I need to see now what the penalties will be for changing our airline tickets. I wish we could sail both!:sad2: Nothing's definite yet, though.

It's true...7 days never seems like enough time...someday, I would looovvveee to do 2 7 day back-to-back cruises and visit the Eastern and Western ports. However....back to reality!! :thumbsup2

Priscilla-

We will miss ya'all if you decide to change your cruise plans!! Both cruises sounds like a good idea!! :thumbsup2

Looks as if we're staying right where we are. Our airline tickets are more or less 'use it or lose it' by mid-January. I'm definitely not complaining though. The eastern Caribbean would have been great, but realistically, I can't imagine waiting until mid-March for a Disney fix!:mickeyjum

Sorry that the switch didn't work out for you, but the back up plan for Thanksgiving isn't too shabby. ;) :teeth:

I haven't been on in a loooong time and checked in yesterday and of course that prompted an e-mail when someone posted here -- when I clicked in I was pleasantly surprised at the photo that greeted me!!! Wow! There we are!

I currently have spring break '08 booked but know I'm not going to have the major loot needed to go so I was looking at Thanksgiving '08 and was majorly disappointed to see it is Costa Maya and Cozumel --- why no Grand Cayman that we missed--- that is really where I want to go!!!! Not sure what I'm going to do now but am happy to see some familiar names while I'm puttering around and contemplating!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Sherri:hippie:

Hi Sherri!! It's always good to see a post from a former Turkey Day traveller!! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone sailing this Thanksgiving!! :goodvibes Everyone must be having a very busy summer weekend. I found this thread on page 3. :scared1: Chuck and I are still trying to decide on excursions for this trip. We are thinking now of taking Mason w/ us on the stingray city snorkel and island tour in Grand Cayman and then leaving him in the Lab activities on the Cozumel day and take the Xceret excursion. There was a recent post w/ pictures that looked amazing. However, Mason has no desire to go on such a long excursion or swim in water with so many fish. He claims that he will only get out of the boat in Stringray City if I will "hold him" on the sand bar. :scared:

Have the rest of you decided about excursions yet?

Lisa

Hey lampy,

I met someone from your home town "Crown Pt" yesterday at work. I don't remember the name though.

Small world isn't it? As small a community as it is if they were around my age or had kids Jess and Allis we probably know them.....ya know Kim calls me "the Mayor"! LOL Haven't been here too much been crazy......California Last month and Kim and I are going to Alaska Next week Wed.-Sunday. Jessica got ran off the road Saturday and totaled her bug......rolled it "AT LEAST 4 times" is what the off duty sherriff that witnessed it said. Believe it or not, no broken bones, just a couple of black eyes and some stitches above her eys and nose and A LOT of "road rash" from the interior of the car. Well off to work, hopefully I'll be checking in more.....

Lampy, I'm glad to hear your DD wasn't more seriously hurt. Wow!

Wow!! Thankfully Jessica wasn't more severely injured! What a scary incident!

On a much lighter note...Have a great time in Alaska!!

Lampy,

Glad DD is ok, my little DD Rachel thinks she wants a bug when she is 17:scared:
...only 6 years to go:woohoo:

We cant cruise this year but are going to OKW for 9/27 - 10/2

Just cant stay away!

Lampy, my mouth fell open when I read about Jessica!:scared1: Thank God she's okay, and wasn't more seriously hurt! I'll bet you and Kim are really relieved. What a memorable summer this will be, right?

Sherri, hi! We're still not sure about 08, but might book spring break '09 instead. (Will have to take a gamble when booking, as I'm sure we won't have the 2008-09 schedule when we sail THIS Thanksgiving.) It'd be great for us to all sail together again. (Hint, hint fellow Thanksgiving cruisers?) I'm certainly looking forward to meeting this '07 Thanksgiving bunch too! The DCL Thanksgiving cruisers should just commit to sailing together each year, as the roster grows!:)

Priscilla

Thanks for all the well wishes.......she told the doctor "ya, I bounced around, but I am use to it.....you should see my Dad pull me tubing!" LOL.......

I took a BMW in on trade, took it home and Jessica said "it sure is cute but I really want another bug!"

Don't look like this any more....LOL
