Thanksgiving 2007!!!

I saw your comment on the live from thread about thinking all week what you would be doing if on the Magic. We were doing the same thing. I discovered something, too. Time goes much faster on a cruise!

Has everyone figured out what cat. rooms they will be staying in next year? Talked to DCL and it looks like we screwed up last year....if we link as a group we should get some credits as we book more rooms....RCCL has given us 1 person credit for every 8 staterooms or 16 people....we put the credit at the "adult" dinner tables for all of us! We have 33 people for our April 1 sailing andabout $1700 in credit!!

but rumor is that a "double dip" at CC is out! The offshore boat race dates has been changed!

WHAT? This is the first that I have heard of this! Key West would be fun, but I would rather have the DD!

Actually this year was going to be Key West....the boat race was a week earlier....but most people booked with the CC, DD in mind......although.......a LOT of empty rooms we on board....TCD, Willie..........maybe we can get DCL to "comp" us....like vegas does for gamblers....LOL

The only thing that seems to be missing are photos of grown men dressed in ridiculous outfits and wigs. How sad!

Just got off the phone with DCL ans the only off 50.00 credit per stateroom and a choice of one of the following....sailaway gift, bottle of wine, memory box or 1 hour private coctail party, after you book 8, and it is not available for Holiday bookings.....

Willie- I would say that you are correct with each of these observations. Good one about Chuck and Lisa letting Mason in the family photo. I don't think I ever saw a photo of the little guy before the '05 cruise- he was always in the club. I didn't notice the PJ's, but I would say that's what it looks like to me, too. I didn't know you could wear PJ's to dinner. This guy has turned into a clone of Lampy!

DCL does not sell "group" space for the Thanksgiving Cruise. You may still link reservations, but not likely to get group perks. sorry. (our family reunion already asked!)

Okay and now that I'm out of hiding....My extended family will be aboard with you guys next year....but we haven't committed yet. I really want to go, but DH isn't thrilled about being around the extended family. (can't blame him)

So send some pixie dust my way that he'll change his mind....

Ok - a few responses...first, Mason STILL has not made it to dinner in the dining rooms, topsiders w/the kids' club doesn't count, but he was on his way from the Goofy Giggle Gala (ala pajama party) when the pictures were taken..we actually have some pictures of him dressed...check the link provided...i only posted about 50 out of nearly 200...no Wonder sailby this year, but now that you mention it, we did decide to book passage on the Wonder for the weekend ending in Mother's Day this coming spring (in addition to next Turkey Day)...yes, the pirate night was changed in subtle ways, but was more or less the same...captain jack was also on CC in addition to the ship...they showed the premiere of deja vu on the ship...they showed the premiere of deja vu on the ship...they showed....Lisa's father has at least had the intubation tube removed, but remains in ICU.

Tell DH not to worry about hanging out with the extended family. Like Lampy said, the Turkeyday gang can be his new family. Willie can tell you about how he left his DW alone in the cabin on the night he paid extra for a romantic turndown service so he could go out and party with the boys.

I can't hang with Willie and Lampy, but maybe your DH can.


And what is with the lurking. Not allowed on this thread. We will expose all lurkers (we did it last cruise)( right Abel?- I'll bet you are lurking around here this year too), so you might as well participate.
