Man weather like that and I would be moving south so fast. Do not see how you can take that type of cold.

Rob

Well, Lampy, the Bears didn't make it.

I apologize for the performance of the Gator QB.

I have to say Tony Dungy is a class act.

Look at the bright side, by the time football season rolls around again, the cruise will almost be here. :cool1:

OH, and BTW- Has anyone noticed that there is already a Thanksgiving 2008 thread going? Turkeys rule!

A Gator Q.B. in Gatorland? What was that? :confused3 They should have played in Chicago! Latest weather update........it hasen't been above 0 with the wind chill since Friday afternoon! 72 strait hours.......-11 last night and -35 windchill.......forcasting 8 inches of "lake effect" snow starting tomorrow afternoon and won't get into double digits 'till Thursday afternoon!!! "Why do I live here?":scared1:

Whoa! The weather here in the Tampa Bay area was nice this weekend. It was 72 and sunny yesterday. They should have played the Superbowl in Tampa- we didn't have any rain yesterday. It is about 55 now, but we are looking at lows of 55 and highs in the mid 70's from Wednesday on this week.

We do get the Superbowl in 2009!

Why do you live there?

3 1/2 years TCD....girls will be out of H.S. and I GONE!!!!!!! Actually the old owner of this stores next door neighbor (in St. Croix) is looking for a General Mgr. of his 4 stores there....I told him "3 1/2 years I'm there!"

Sounds great. :beach: The only bad part is that you will still be working. I still like the plan that you and Willie came up with to be castaways on Castaway Cay. There are enough Dis Boarders who would be willing to help you out.

Seriously, we are hearing about your weather here. Man, it sounds cold. I am not laughing at you though, because somehow I think I would take the cold if it meant we didn't have to worry about hurricanes for half the year.

TCD

A hurricane sounds o.k. with me now.....:rotfl2: Now it's SNOWING....looks like we are going to get 6 inches of snow before rush hour here on the south side......heat wave comming Thursday.......19, but near 0 every night 'till Tuesday.........Everyone here at work is complaining about the furnaces not shutting off all night!...........Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, I love my hot water heat!!! And how do I get the short staw at home....Jessicas bug is in the garage along with Kims Liberty and the vette.....even the golf cart.....that leaves "dear old dad" with the car that sit out all night...........:scared1:

Ron- I hate to tell you this, but Mrs. TCD and I were just asking each other last night whether we thought we would have to use the heat at all this winter. So far, we have not turned on the heat once! We have a gas fire place that we use on the cool nights, and that is all we really need. Now, you don't want to know about our electric bills in the summer when the A/C runs 24/7.

LOL about your car- same thing at my house, brother. I have a four car garage, and my car still has to be parked in the driveway!

Hey- where the heck is everyone else on this thread?:confused3

TCD

I was just thinking the same thing TCD! I know Willie had a "guys weekend"....I talked to him before the game.....And TCD......electric? Mine in the summer is fairly inexpensive.....we have the "big lake" about 8 miles from us that keeps it cool and our lake......Kim runs the AC (dust) all the time, but the house stays cool from the configuration and water...

At this rate by Novemebr we won't have to "multi post", we will have the old one two wrapped up!

I would not post that I was going up to a lake house with the guys because I was afraid that TCD might make something of it. Just a little fishing, gambling, watching the Super Bowl, etc.

This pic has deer boudain, deer backstrap k-bobs, and Miller Lite. Pretty much says it all.

You guys get NO sympathy from me. Hayley is now driving what WAS my pickup. Kelli drives the suburban, and I have to hitch a ride with one of them if I want to go anywhere! At least you have a car to park.:sad1: It is just easier for Hayley to drive herself to basketball, etc, than us hauling her around.

I need to go truck shopping, but we have had 5 weeks of rain and cold. Not very good shopping weather. And I wanted to wait and see if the new Tundras are big enough for my big carcass. The 2007 Tundras have not yet hit the dealers. I have been a Chevy man for years, but I am looking at other options this time.

If I only knew a car salesman, I might have things a little easier....

This is just a pic of a bass mount my buddy has at his lake house. These two 12 pounders were on the same fishing trip. Nice mount.

Andrew used to have bass mounted at his crib. (Pre-Mrs. TCD.):rotfl: But the Billy Big Mouth Bass just would not shut up!

HHmmmmmmmmmmmm:scared1: Just made a call t one of my previous "trainees" he's now the sales mgr at the toyota store down the street!

I wanted to wait a few days to chime in because I wanted the sting of Da Bears loss to start to fizzle (plus I just had Lasik done and the computer bugs my eyes a bit) - But that Lampy Mojito is going to taste great  (thanks to Manning and the fact that this is his first win against a Gator)!!!!! Actually, I saved some money as well as I couldn't get a hold of my cousin who was in Vegas - and I wanted to parlay the Colts and the Over - but the Over didn't cover (the Colt's should have kicked a field goal at the end on 4th down instead of running the ball). I could here the screams of all of the poor souls in Vegas who bet the over and were dying when Dungee didn't kick for 3 points. :scared1:

Deer boudain? :confused3 Never heard of it? (I guess I am still a Yankee after all).

After looking at your photo, I was a little worried about what part of the deer is the boudain. I thought maybe it was the Texas version of Rocky Mountain Oysters! :scared1: I had to look it up. For the rest of you civilized folks, not to worry. Here is the definition of boudain:

bou·din also Bou·dain
n. pl.
A highly seasoned link sausage of pork, pork liver, and rice that is a typical element of Louisiana Creole cuisine.

And, no comment on your "guys weekend." ;) To each his own.

TCD, instead of the pork you substitute venison. I imagine yall have dirty rice? It is like that, only in a sausage casing. It is fantastic grilled.

My two cents- Dungy was foolish not to kick the field goal at the end. There was plenty of time left for the Bear cubs to score and try an onsides kick, IF Good Rex would have suddenly shown up. Wasn't there a little less than two minutes left? And only a 12 point lead? Having said that, I was happy that he didn't, if you know what I mean?;) 46 was a magical number!

You know, I probably have eaten some nice boudain in N.O., and not even realized it. I know I have eaten red beans and rice with some type of sausage.

One of the things that drove me crazy about Tony Dungy when he was Tampa Bay's coach was how conservative he was. I swear that guy was happy with a three point lead, and would never get worked up. I am used to the Gators running it up against their opponents. If you have the ball then score! You can shoot yourself in the foot trying to be conservative. I do admire the guy though. He shows that you can be an effective coach without compromising your values. That is how I would like to be if I ever get any values.

BTW- The unanimous number one Fla. Gators basketball team plays tonight! Go Gators!
