Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Donna, welcome!

First of all, you're meeting up with one crazy  and fun bunch! Most of us sailed together last Thanksgiving (some even sailed together the Thanksgiving 2004!) and we've stayed connected through the DISboards. We're looking forward to meeting all of the newcomers when we sail :sail: and will very much get to know each other even more as the date approaches.

Also, our family (DH, DD and myself) had never cruised either, until we sailed DCL. The bad news is, other cruise lines were a disappointment after that! (But a disappointment I'll deal with, LOL!) Thanks to DCL, I'm hooked on cruising. And even a 'lesser' cruise (is there such a word) is better than a land vacation.

What ages are your children? :)

Thanks for the welcome. I have two sons and one daughter. The boys will be 12 & 8 at the time of the cruise and baby girl will be 4 1/2. I don't know when or how I will tell them but I know they will be super excited. We watched the cruise planning DVD and my daughter said she wants to go on Mickey's Boat. My husband said I planned this out of guilt because the kids aren't going with us on our 3 night trip to WDW that is in 23 days  He's probably right. :rolleyes1 Can't wait to get started with the planning for the cruise.

Welcome aboard Donna!! Our DS (Mason) will also be 8 at the time of sailing!!
He is looking forward to finally being in the Lab--he is a proud veteran of the Oceaneer Club!! :thumbsup2

Welcome Donna & family! We'll have our 12 yo DD on this cruise. This will be our first Thanksgiving cruise but it looks like we have lots of veterans here to show us the ropes!

Welcome Donna and family!

We are also on the Turkey day cruise and have talked my in-laws into joining us too (it will be their first cruise). We have 2 dd's. They will be 9 and 7 when we cruise. We went on the 6/10 Eastern this year and loved it.

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping we can talk my in-laws into going too. It's nice having extra help when dealing with 3 kids on vacation.

I know it's early but I just had to tell someone(since it's a surprise)that I just paid our deposit for our first Disney Cruise :dance3: well, actually our first cruise EVER. I am so excited but how am I going to keep it a secret from the kids for 15 months. Oh, well there are worse problems to have ;) . I'm looking forward to getting to know you great people while I wait.

WELCOME DONNA.......Hold your hat......this is "crazy" bunch!!

Hey guys, things been nuts......FINALLY closed on the rental house....what a fiasco! Took the kids and Kim to Raccoon lake with the boat and camper for some much needed R&R....now to get to looking towards the Fall and winter vacations!!

DL plans changed, thinking of a 4 day this Nov or Dec.
May be cruising but need to rent our 111 Disney Collections points first.

Got some pics of our little camping trip.....Bad Jessica....no rock climbing!!

Lampy, great photos! What was the weather like at the lake? Looks cooler there than it's been here (triple-digit days for the past week.) When's the next camp-out? Maybe the TDG will show up with the Miller lite! :lmao:

LOL......temps were in the low 90's....actually the water was 88 degrees.....but Thursdays storms pulled in some cooler air.....a nice 62 this morning.....but tomorrow it will be back to 90......we are heading to the "big lake" (lake michigan) tomorrow......it's 10 miles away and only had the boat out there once....but since it's on the trailer and not the shore station in the back yard.....might as well take it..........

Lampy-It looks like you and your family are enjoying your summer!! :thumbsup2
