I wanted to give a great big thank you to the VMK staff for running these slide-a-thons. From the names on the list, it looks as though they got most of the QA and Host staff up on a Sunday morning to staff these rides.

A Big Thank You from all of us!

:thanks: thanks staff without you we would have no idea what those pink and blue boxes are:).. oh wait we still have no idea what they are.. lobster traps?

My thanks too. I really like the ride-a-thons from both the multiple rooms and the automatic award. This is so much nicer than trying to trade with a host at the end.

But really, I think they are fruit crates like you see at Blizzard Beach around the water ride that was new last summer. Slush 'n' Gusher or something like that. The story has to do with it being a fruit canning factory or something. Perhaps someone who has been there recently can give better details.

Mostly I remember a terrific wipeout at the splash down. If you put the fat person in the front of a 2 person float, you do a pretty good re-inactment of the Titanic's final moments before sinking. The front of the float kind of digs into the water and the not fat person gets to ride up in the air for a while before the back of the float hits the water. It was fun and later I got to see other couples perform that landing so I now know what happened. The great thing is the person on the back just holds onto the handles and rides it out.

Slush 'n' Gusher? Oh I'll have to try that this summer...I wonder if it is anything like Typhoon Lagoon's Crush 'n' Gusher... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is quite the analogy, qruthie!! :rotfl2: Though...I wonder what it would be like if you stuck the fat person in the back hole of the double tube...His/her (let's call it "herm") part would have to come down at some point so would Herm crash into the smaller sized (let's say roo-sized) person? At the "splash-down", would roo-size fly into the air as Herm immediately sinks into the water...would a catapult be created?? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Oh, and thanks VMK!! This slide-a-thon rocks my fuzzy little socks!!! :cool1:
