My DD's 10th birthday party was today. Anyone who lives in the North East knows what this summer has been like and Jess was having a pool party! Yesterday, our front yard was so full of water, I could of let the kids use it instead of the pool! Even though the skies were mainly gray, the temps never made it to 75º, and the grass was rather smooshy, the kids were able to swim in the pool and have a water balloon fight! :hyper: I sure as heck would NOT of wanted to have all these girls in the house for too long ( we did have the hot dogs, popcicles and cake inside). A few of the girls did not get along and were bickering back and forth and I had to step in to lay down the lay during the water balloon fight!!:earseek: I finally got mad and told them to stop acting that way. Jessica was really getting upset and I told them they were making her feel bad. :(

I always make Jessica pass out invitations to all the girls in her class at the end of the school year. I have never wanted to hurt anyone feelings. Next year, I'm not too sure I'm going to do that!! :worried: I'll just have her invite the girls she feels are friends.::yes::

Why are girls this age like that-my dd will be ten on 8-9. and sometimes the girls in her grade can be so mean. One of them called her a geek and told her to go play with the geeks the other day at the pool ( this girl had not been playing with the others to start with and came up and started playing with them-I don''t have a problem with this) but then she told my daughter she was a geek and to go play with the gooks. These girls all go to school together and dance together, I said something to the girl and she denied it, she later told her mom I hollered at her ( which I did not just told her she was not being nice) and then I got a letter in the mail from the mom( you have to know the family they are never wrong and always the victims-used to work with the girls great aunt) well today we rand into this girl and her mom at a local dance wear shop( very small store) we just ignored each other, but the 9 year old picked out an outfit like my daughter had already picked out ( I wanted to tell her that it was an outfit for a geek- but I played grown up and didn't say a word) I had tow boys first and this girl witchy thing just drives me nuts. Now I'm not saying my dd is perfect far from it but golly the boys would ague and then just go off and play. Oh well.
