I apologize if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it anywhere on here.

The American Red Cross allows anyone in the U.S. to text HAITI to 90999 as an easy way to donate $10 to the recovery effort. The money is billed to your mobile phone account. According to the latest tally, the Red Cross has already raised over $800,000 through text messages.

I just did this and once you text it, you will receive a text back to confirm that you want to donate. You just text back yes and your donation will be made. These folks need help. Devastation is an understatement.

Sorry I didn't think to look earlier. I found the original info on CNN, I think so I assumed it was true.

Thanks for posting this. I just heard on the radio that it does not work if you live in Canada and also folks with Altel service are having issues doing it.
