I should have added that there are exceptions that use common sense, yes. I wasn't singling you or anyone else out, more like having a rant in general. I think some of the strife in this country over masks comes from that fact that we have no unified response as a nation, which we should have. I live in an area where it's a given that masks are to be worn in most situations- excluding the ones you mentioned (except for the one where you walk by someone). I don't put my mask on to go out to get into the car unless someone is going to walk close to me on the sidewalk as I'm doing so, for instance.
There was one heck of a big screw-up from the Powers That Be when this all started. We should have had one rule as a nation on the wearing of masks, and what would be open and what would not and how many people could safely gather, etc. This did not happen, instead masks in particular were weaponized for political gain, and people took sides.
I'm tired, we all are. I'm frustrated. I'm sick of this whole thing. But the end is within our grasp. The fire is halfway out; now is not the time to call off the hoses.
