you did the right think.

now walk around in them (with socks on) every day until you leave for WDW - just to really break them in.

enjoy!

We all wore our Teva's last summer, they were rained on, splashed on, walked many many miles in them, and we never had any blisters, or sore tired feet. I will be using them this summer again! We love our Teva's!!

Picked up a pair for me and DW yesterday a Dick's. They're on sale for $29.99.

Stinkerbelle - why the socks?

I paid 39.99 for the teal "Hurricane" style at Deichman's, at the LV Outlet Center (the outlet mall that used to be Beltz Outlet Mall) here in Las Vegas. Hope I didn't pay too much!

Don't forget the sunscreen for the tops of your feet! I acquired quite a distictive "teva tan"...not unlike a farmers tan...after a long summer wearing them on boat patrol. But a burn on the tops of your feet hurt bad...I found out the hard way!

I have been wearing my Tevas for years and love them...They are great in the rain. Which it always does in the summer when we go...:umbrella:

Finally, DH asked me to pick a pair up for him. He wore them yesterday for the first time. Looked cute in them! Also bought DD her first pair.

I love them, especially at WDW. don't care if it rans, or you go on Kali River Rapids. No more wet sneakers for me!

I love TEVA'S I have a regular sandal type( strap across toes and ankle strap that goes diagonally across foot) and a pair of Teva kinetic walking sandals - the latter are UGLY but so comfortable walk all day and your feet never hurt - like wearing a pair of well worn sneakers that are still very supportive! the 1st link below is just for a picture of these - I actually got them at the 2nd link - but they are a hit or miss type of place sometimes they have great stuff sometimes not. They usually always have some assortment of Teva's at pretty good prices - my walking sandals cost last yr at this site $39.99

Have you tried the Cobbie Cuddlers from K-Mart? I know K-Mart isn't known for the best in quality, but that brand of shoes/sandals is very high quality, IMHO. The soles are so padded, like walking on air. They come in many different styles, and only cost in the $20-$30 range.

I'd been wearing the same CC sandals for the last 3 years, must have walked a hundred miles in them, no kidding, they took a tremendous beating, but they still are as comfortable as ever. Right before our trip last year, the strap broke, and I couldn't find a K-Mart, since ours closed. I looked online for Cobbie Cuddlers, but had no luck. So I had DH find a show repair shop and the guy fixed my sandal. DH thought I was nutty not to just go out and buy a new pair of sandals, some other brand, there must be many good brands. But I am a sworn Cobbie Cuddler girl.

The first year we ever went to WDW, I wore regular cute leather sandals, not made for comfort, and by the end of the second night, I was crying from foot pain.

Anyway, sorry this is so long, but I've never heard anyone mention Cobbie Cuddlers here on the Dis before!

Merrells also a good alternative, my feet very comfortabel after a week at Disney

We love our Tevas. Well worth the price.

I also have a pair of OP Elements that I bought at Kohl's for $19.99. I have heel spurs and wore my OPs for 15 days on our last trip and they were extremely comfortable. If I could find another pair I'd buy them.

Good Decision on the TEVAs. Break them in before hand and you will really enjoy thier versatility.

Just got back and wore my Tevas all week. Yes, I too am sporting the "Teva tan". But overall, I loved them!

when breaking them in - socks will prevent 'first wearing blisters'. sometimes the material can be kinda rough around the ankles - so wearing socks while breaking them in will wear down that 'roughness' in the material - leading to less rubbing when you wear them w/o socks.

$40 is a good price! they are a great investment - just be warned - if they get wet often enough, and you walk around in them enough - they will start to stink after a while. hehehe...when I was younger my mom wouldn't let me keep mine in the house they reeked so bad. heheeh

What about for 8 year olds? Which of these comfortable brands sale in kid's sizes? Does the Cobbie Cuddlers from Kmart have children sizes?

Is there any diffence between birkenstock and Teva?

two entirely different shoes - both pictures from LLBean.com

Birkenstocks (aka - Hippy Shoes aka Air Jesus shoes. hehehe) (sometimes these will have a strap around the back too)
