Test Your "Ancient" Knowledge of the Podcast

We all know when it's Pete's birthday because we have a party or a cruise around the same time.

But...what month and day is John's birthday?

And what milestone will we be celebrating in 2015?

"We" implies that John will be celebrating with "us." ;)

Kevin and John have frequently talked about how they enjoy attending the Candlelight Processional.

What "game" do Kevin and John play during CP?

Guessing who will faint first onstage.

I know the answer but I don't know how to write it so others can guess! :confused3 Unless.. nah you can't just write it in white, that would be to simple! But I'll give it a shot, don't look just in case if you don't want to know the answer.
Kevin bought a light travel blanket that was so soft and made his flight much more comfortable. I believe he also used it as a replacement blanket in his hotel. ::yes::

That's a great travel tip that Kevin told us about, but it isn't the Vatican tip. Go into the bathroom and take a good long look at yourself in the mirror and come back with another answer. :goodvibes

February 21 and its the big 50!

Nope - I'm just an old-timer with a good memory. :snooty:

Here's one: What did Kevin mention he took to the Vatican on his ABD tour that made the experience more pleasant?

Are we allowed to post our answer or keep it "hidden". I'm not sure I know how to do that but here goes:

A mirror

You have chosen wisely.

And of course anyone can post their answer without whiting it out. It's just been kind of fun doing it this way. :flower3:

There aren't any "rules" but if you want to hide (change the font color to white) then that's fine.

The point of this is just to have fun (and tease John, apparently).

As Jeff and rlduvall said, Kevin and John (and Bob) would play "pick the fainter" at Candlelight Processional.

Next question. On the 1/1/07 show, Pete asked the podcast team (at the time consisting of Pete, John, Kevin, Bob, Corey and Julie) to list their "favorite [on property] resort, which one would you recommend if you were to tell somebody, this is where I would stay".

What did they say?

And if you want to make it interesting, name each team members' "least favorite resort(s)" at least as they stated at the time of the podcast.

Kevin said Wilderness Lodge (though he sometimes misspeaks at first and calls it Animal Kingdom Lodge)

At the time, I assume Pete said NOT the Contemporary.

ETA: Corey and Julie probably said Port Orleans, Riverside and French Quarter, respectively. Corey likes the theming at Riverside, Julie likes the beignets at French quarter.

As stated on the 1/1/07 podcast.

Favorite:

John - Old Key West
Kevin - Wilderness Lodge (aka "AKL")
Corey - Port Orleans (f.k.a. Dixie Landings)
Julie - Boardwalk
Bob - Beach Club
Pete - Swan / Dolphin

Least favorite -

Julie - Contemporary (goats on the mural)
Kevin - Pop Century (tacky, too "Great Adventure" for Disney)
John - All Stars ("I want more room in my room" and rooms at All Stars are a little "too confining" but would change his mind if there were more suites)
Bob - Coronado Springs (too big)
Corey - All Stars (tacky) and Coronado (too big). Likes All-Star Movies the best of the three.
Pete - Contemporary (supposed to be nice, but isn't). Hands down, worst managed hotel on property. Service is not what it should be.

Since then, Pete's had a more positive experience at the Contemporary but I don't think Bob's opinion of Coronado Springs ever changed.

At the end of Candlelight Processional, the ensemble sings the Hallelujah Chorus. But, per Kevin, what are the words they seemed to sing?

This is arcane information.

I make up the words to Il est ne le divin infant too.

Of course it is arcane . . . . but I spit coffee all over my windshield sitting in the parking lot at Wal-Mart when I heard you and John talking about it.

I'm sending John the cleaning bill. ;)

It's also one of the few times you've ever SUNG on the podcast.

I must be making this too arcane but my windshield moment of the week was when Kevin said the lyrics seem to be "Born in a cotton field in Pennsylvania."

Let's try again, what event prompted John to say, "so you saw the moonrise on the French Riviera."

We all give. :confused3 I can hear John saying it, but I don't remember what it was for. What's the answer????? :cutie:

A friend of Pete and John's...also named Kevin...was describing his experience on a clothing optional beach in France (I believe).

Not surprisingly, Kevin is dead on. Pete and John's friend was describing an experience lounging around on a beach in the south of France when a family decided to change out of their swimsuits into dinner clothing. This apparently required bending over.

John said something else along these lines. :bitelip:

Let's try again. Corey has frequently mentioned he worked at Blizzard Beach as part of the college program and afterwards. Where did Julie work and what was her job?

My answer below in white:

I don't think Julie did the College Program but I think she worked at Blizzard Beach as a lifeguard on the lazy river.
