Test track is a how many times ride?

for example, soarin' for us is a once per trip ride. Tsmm and 7dmt are both rides where we try to ride as many as we can manage with fast passes. We didn't ride test track so I don't know if my son is going to love it and want to go again or not. I'm trying to plan days around it. Is once enough or should I squeeze a second day in? Thanks for your advice!

I do it many times per trip, but mostly because I can Single Rider it so the wait is never that long. Going by regular wait times, I'd still probably plan to do it twice.

Prior to recent renovation, TT was a once-per-trip ride. After, it's a never-again ride (or, at least, "if we never ride it again.. we'd be OK"). We had FP+ and still took use 30 minutes to wait. It took WAAAAYYY too long for everybody to design their car, then they took away all the visual effects from the original ride and made it look like you were riding a toned-down "TRON."

We won't waste another FP+ on it, and only go out of our way to ride it if there's a 5 min standby.. and we also happen to be in the area.

We have 2 teenagers and they enjoy this ride so much, they asked me to exchange our soarin' fast pass so they could ride this again instead. They've always thought Soarin' was a take it or leave it

I concur with them. I've ridden it twice and don't see the big deal, but also see how it can be someone's favorite ride (and will be devestated when they close the current version and update it for the "World" edition). I wouldn't miss it either.. between the 2, I'd pick TT.

For our family (DS13 and DS15), it's a one FP so we can ride as a family. Then it's a whole bunch of single rider rides--either all of us or just the boys if DH and I decide to take a break! They like to design and redesign and redesign the cars and ride again and again.

For us its a once in several visits kind of ride.

Twice per visit for Test Track and once for Soarin.

Toy Story is worth multiple rerides. We generally wait until the last hour of the day when the line gets really short and we can get in 4 rides with little wait time. Your trigger hand does get tired though.

We agree, we can take or leave the new Test Track. The ride is less than stellar, just a reskinning of the old one, the only new fun thing is the design aspect, but I don't feel like I need to wait to do this. Now if I could take the car home and play with it online too.....

But for the OP - Chances are your son will really enjoy it. Lots of younger kids enjoy racing around and it will be futuristic. Plan on FP+ the first time, and schedule it the second day if you want as well. You can always try to change FP+ if you decide a one and done.

Well, if you ask my 5-year-old DS, he will say it's the ONLY thing at Epcot that we should ride, and we should ride it as many times as we possibly can from open to close. Personally, I'm fine riding it or not. Especially since they refurbed it - I thought the original was much better. (Well actually I thought WOM was better even than the original TT, but maybe I'm just an old party-pooper, lol!)

I would probably just plan for once, and if he absolutely HAS to go again, know that you may have to do some last minute shuffling. That always happens to us anyway, no matter how much or well we plan.

we FP Soairn. Then we go to TT at RD and ride once stand by - usually less then a 10 minute wait, and then we do single rider once or twice.... at park open you can walk right through and onto a car in the SR line, no need to stop and design a car or anything....

If they enjoy the car design part, I trust you know that there are some design stations in the post-ride area that you can use any time. Typically if I'm going single rider, I will pop in there before my ride to spend a few minutes creating the design I want. Plus, I can take as much time as I want. (Not to mention that the choices in the single rider line are very limited.)

That's exactly what they did this time! Rode the ride, got off, designed a car, went single rider. Rinse and repeat!

We FP it and then do single rider a couple of times each time we visit. It would depend on the age of the OPs son whether single rider would be an option for them. I think most young boys would really like Test track. I'm neither young nor a boy, and its one of my favorite rides in Epcot.

I forgot about the single rider option...that's probably ideal. I didn't know about the design stations afterward...I'll keep that in mind

We like to do TT twice. It is DD's favorite ride and we all enjoy it. DD and I design a car together for one ride and "compete" against DS and DH, then on the second ride, DS and I will team up against DD and DH.

I used to do it multiple times. I think Ive done it 6x in a row or so.

However, last trip i did it 1x. Not a fan of the renovation honestly and the Tron feel. I miss the crash test dummy version. I was actually bored on this ride minus the speed track and was like Ugh is it done yet?

Never felt this way on this ride prior to the renovation.

Also, just surrounded by advertising from Chevy. Yes, GM sponsored this before but it seemed that it wasn't over the top (minus the car show at the end.)

When was the renovation? I rode it in 2013 and enjoyed it.

I love both Soarin and Test Track but always FP Soarin, as the queue can be very long and boring. I always use the single rider line at Test Track multiple times each trip. I like to visit Epcot a lot each trip, so Test Track is always one I'll go on more than once.

This thread has made me realize how uneducated I am on TT, I actually don't think I've been on it since the reno. With FP+ I've always chosen Soarin instead. If you go single rider do you have to design a car? I kind feel like I'd like to just get in line and just kind of... get in a car and go. If you go single rider do you make your car with someone else, or does everyone make their own?
