Test tomorrow....Update: Surgery 7/31

I am doing much better, today. I actually made it to the potty and down the stairs before I had to have a pain pill. ;)

Honestly though, I was able to make some scrambled eggs and grits for breakfast. Corey made the toast and is currently making us some coffee. I am looking forward to a shower today. Sponge baths just don't do it for me. I like the full water coverage effect. I am just veggin' here at home. I am looking forward to a couple of guilt free days on the sofa. 3D Tv is optional, but encouraged. :happytv:

Sure take advantage of Loopy Lindy! I was wondering who the heck that was. I am due for another pill in 15 minutes, you caught me at a more lucid moment. ;)

Thanks! I finally got a shower today, so I no longer smell like a hospital. I did my usual almost passing out thing when we took off the dressings. It first happened when I was a kid and it continues into my adulthood. I don't know what my problem is, I can play around in everyone else's wounds and boo-boo's with no issues, but if it's on my body, I get nauseous and feel faint.

The puncture areas all look pretty good, the navel one did bleed some and is the most sensitive of the bunch. Lortab is my friend and while I am Loopy Lindy, at least I don't hurt. :thumbsup2

Shortly after having my gallbladder out I can tell you I noticed it was difficult for me to digest any beef poducts. Since I am a carnivore this presented a problem. Then after a year the problem simply went away on it's own. I like to think my body just adjusted to the change. That will be seven years ago this August.

TMI warning
The ultrasound and the surgery was easy. Depending on the procedure they may open up your belly button and place an instrument that looks like a tea strainer with teeth :scared1:. Clamp it off and snip it.... going going gone out through your belly button. :rotfl: Your admominal muscles may be sore for a day or two but it is a quick recovery. :goodvibes

I am bouncing back. The worst part now is the sensitivity of the skin where the incisions are, well that and the abdominal muscle pain. I still have steri strips on and it's impossible for me to wear my pants pulled up the way they should be, because of the pressure they cause at my navel. I also would rather keep my shirt pulled up, to keep my shirt from rubbing the other three spots, but with all of our cats and dogs around, I don't like the idea of walking around with the area completely unprotected. Plus, I know Corey loves me, but I don't wish to subject her to seeing me sit around all day with my big ole' Buddha belly hangin' out in the breeze. :rotfl:

I am hoping to start weaning myself off of the Lortabs tomorow, depending on how I feel in the morning.

:headache: You know, pain sucks.

I tried real hard to get by on Advil alone this morning, but I am just not handling it well. I gave up after being up 4 hours and popped a Lortab.

Being Loopy Lindy is fun, but I have got to get off of these things! At some point, I have to be a productive member of society again. :upsidedow

Ahhh, Lortab. Sorry, I was waxing nostalgic for a moment there. I wish I had one to get me through the afternoon. I'm not in pain, but it would at least take the edge off the rest of the day and put me out of my misery. ;)

Ohh, the magic candy woman is here :wizard:

I'll take two of the yellows and one of the red
