Danny O"Donell's brother from Kerry took a look at his wife Colleen and said: "Thirty years ago we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10 inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25 year old blonde.

"Now, we have a nice house, nice car and tv, and a big bed, but I'm sleeping with a 60 year old woman."

His wife said: "Go out and find yourself a hot 25 year old blonde and I will guarantee that once again you will be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10 inch black and white TV."

A man stumbles up to the only patron in a pub and asks if he might buy him a drink.
"Why of course," comes the reply.
The first man then asks: "Where are you from?"

"I'm from Dublin," replies the second man.

The first man responds: "You don't say. I'm from Dublin too! Let's have another drink to Dublin."

"To Dublin," replies the second man.

Curious, the first man than asks: "Where did you go to school?"

"Saint Mary's, replies the second man. "Class of '62."

"This is unbelieveable!" the first man says.

"I went to Saint Mary's and I graduated in '62!"

About this time one of the regulars comes in and sits down at the bar.
"What's been going on?" he asks the bartender.

"Nothing much," replies the bartender. "The O'Malley twins are drunk again."

mic--you didn't have to tip me out of bed....i was already out...had to be out at walmart by 6:30 this morning. done my duty for the day and carried a green pen around as that was the only green i was sporting.

Off to talk to dave to see if we are going to lincoln today or not....may be back later....may be back a lot later!!

no, it was a regular bow tie, not a bolo or whatever they are called, and he wore a hat........man, I'll have to look around for him...got my mind working overtime now...LOL

Morning all!

getting myself ready to go teach sunday school. I am alone today....ought to be interesting!

Instead of going to pick out carpet yesterday we decided to go reward the kids for their grades. We went to the Amazing Pizza Machine. Don't know if it is a chain or not....it is like chuck E cheese but only bigger and better! Aubrey LOVED the little bumper car things...her face was priceless when she was driving them....wish i would have remembered my camera! Remembered it half way up there Anyway, i think everyone had a great time and thought the hard work was worth it that they put forth in school

I want to come home from church today and clean until i have to go to work at 3pm....hopefully i will get something done! If the sun is out i probably will....if it is gloomy out I won't

Pam, sounds like you had a good Saturday, and don't we always forget the camera when great photo ops come up...we all do it, so don't feel bad.

Sun is out but chilly here today. We are going to Baltimore to the Beat Goes On, a 60's musical concert. Have no idea what or how good it will be, guess we will find out We will leave around 1 p.m. and probably won't be back til later this evening.

Got a little bit of laundry to try and get away before I have to get dressed....see ya later

okay, back from teaching and can you believe that EVERY child in the sunday school class showed up today??????? I was there all by myself today and there is never a full class....execpt today! Oh well, it went okay and I was glad to have them there...they are a pretty good group.

Have to work at 3 today...till i think 7pm....i will be on for awhile tonight...

i didn't get on the thread this morning before i went to church.
then to the grocery store after that .....
had to rush and have dinner on the table by 2:30 as son and i left after 3 to go to the amtrak station downtown chicago.

what traffic we had.
sometimes i can make it in 40 minutes from home to past downtown chi town and sometimes it takes hours.

today was not a traffic less drive.

home now.....

mic, glad you had fun. didn't know you were going out until i found out the other way.

I hate Monday's, I'm sluggish and don't want to get ready for work

Yep, I had quickly posted yesterday that we were going to the Baltimore Symphony for the Beat Goes On concert.......honestly, I spanned my early teens til I was 18 in the sixties, remember and LOVE the music, but NO LIE...everyone that was there was OLD...walkers, canes and wheelchairs , we found it all rather funny......

Keisha the easiest way to explain it is I always get a brazillian wax. So, I have hard wood floors. Those that don't wax or use coochie cream have carpet.

Real women use razors ; just thinking about a wax-job gives me the heebie-jeebies. I was just complaining to my DH the other day how much upkeep the hardwood floor takes; all that dusting & polishing to keep it presentable .

mac - yep, i'm both orange & green irish ; DHs people are black irish...wonder what other colors we come in? Joke #1 was a hoot.

pam - I get very nervous when I have to help @ CCD/church; usually can't sleep the night before lol. It was easier when the kids were young, my theory is throw a religious picture & some crayons @ them & everyone's happy - especially, since I bring a bag of candy (bribes are always goodsend them home on a sugar rush...tee-hee ).

mic - who let the old fogies in ; i keep telling myself it's not the chronological date that ages you.

btw, the River Rats took a pounding ; both in the score & by the host team mgmt/officiating - owner thrown out of arena, DS was pushed on the field several times by the announcer from behind - supposedly all in jest/park of the antics . Evidently, folks in Johnstown expect a professional wrestling sort of side-show in addition to the game - bizzare; certainly not classy.

Another day of hauling family to & fro to appointments; zoom -zoom (gas still $2.60 here ).
