My kids are highly disappointed this morning. My MIL called about 2:30am to tell us that they were driving here and Lee's uncle had forgotten his blood pressure meds and they were turning around to go back home.

Nico cried for about 20 minutes this morning.

back from birthday party...had lunch out, now have stuff to do, and as I expected, I don't feel like it...... BUT I will try and at least clean a little bit and finish up tomorrow, blech

mac - that is the coolest snow plow icon ; I was in the grocery store @ 8:30 a.m. today w/all the (other) blue hairs . You know you're getting old when you get up early on the weekend to beat the rush @ the store. Always mass hysteria in our area when they call for bad weather. .

I dub you "bits"; "kibbles" sounds good for keisha - my pooch always did like that brand .

my bad dog poochie ate my crockpot - wth! managed to knock it off a shelf that she'd have to stand on her back paws to reach. Shattered the lid & crock & ate the cord. Into the cage she now goes when i'm not home. Least she didn't eat the couch...had an eskimo spitz that pulled that trick once.

We're cooking out today, meaning DH will shovel off the grill & I'll supervise. He likes a med-well steak; me -still mooing (pittsburgh rare).

mic - sounds like a great celebration; happy bd to your baby . How nice to have your family about.

ocm - sorry for your boy, hope he's okay now.

pam - r u getting the crappy weather today? Thought of you when i went back out this afternoon to get trannie fluid for my old caddy. (Couldn't get it to go in reverse today.....nooooooooooooo ; hope it does the trick...sure don't need another car pmt). Anyway, into WM DH & I go; pass a fireplace insert & pick it up & pull out the plastic. What was I thinking lol??? Tried to justify it that the FP in LR needs a liner & the electric one would be cheaper & it has a heater. Why do they put such good deals @ the end of the aisles? lol i'm so weak!

i don't know why i am surprised about all the snow we are getting.
february, end of the month, early march is when we get the most snow here.

but it makes me feel so much better when i whine...........


so the poochie ate the crock pot.
i babysat a guinea pig once that got loose and chewed the cord to the tv set.
so upsetting.........

keisha, i would tell poochie he has to go to the time out corner for that !!

yea, pam should be getting the winter blast now. it will hit her before it gets me. our blizzard warning is on up thru noon sunday. we are a couple of miles from wisconsin border and between there and milwaukee will be the worse of it. chgo will be sparred of the heavy ice and snows.
milwaukee right now has 12 inches. that's about a 35 minute drive from my house.


sending mr mac to captain porky's for dinner tonight. it's a carry out place that does dinners and sides. catfish, ribs, walleye, shrimp, calmari, frog legs, lobster and cajun. he drives the 4 wheel suv so he won't have a problem doing dinner tonight.

went to the dentist this morning and everyone got good reports I have three no cavity kids!
Noah then played a make up game and won...they are first place for their tourneys tomorrow.

We are getting some crappy weather. it is just raining and chilly out right now but it is suppose to turn into snow a little later. We are in the 3-6 inch range but north of us is suppose to get 6-12....we will see how much we are suppose to get when it actually starts.

mac-- glad you get a night off of cooking...you deserve it.

mic--you are so sweet...i'm glad i found all of you

ks--i'm sorry that your ds got a butt kickin'...hopefully the next game will be better. look on the bright side....atleast you aren't banned from the rest of the games

ocm--sorry nico was bummed that the grandparents didn't show up.


i think i am going to head out and pick up a few movies. dave is going to go out tonight...i guess he is going to go play some cards with a bunch of guys so it is just me and the kids tonight.

Well, got the bathroom upstairs cleaned........ick...I don't want to do anything else.....yuck....but I have to get a little something else out of the way.....again YUCK, ICK, BLECH.........I want to be rich and have maid, chef, chauffeur a hunky bodyguard

KS, that is bad poochie for sure, was there something he/she was after, or just likes electrical cords My friend at work, her cocker spaniel likes their remote controls, will chew them up I said maybe he wants to watch TV Oh, I know what you mean about people going nuts when they call for bad weather...it's usual 1.5 days you might be housebound, and people go buy stuff like the world is ending......good grief, I could go for a week and live off my extra armor Sorry the team got trounced.... I LOVE YOU....I hardly know anyone who likes to eat meat still mooing....red is good............ If people only realized how much better a rare or even medium rare piece of meat tastes, they would never go back to shoe leather...... Enjoy your cookout...we did that last night...and it was COLD running in and out...but the steaks were GOOD....YUM.....MOOOO

well, went out and rented some movies.....pink panther for the kids and departed for us. Dave's card deal got cancelled because the roads are starting to get slick. They had to drive about 1/2 hour to get there.

I am one for my meat to be medium.. i don't like it leathery but i don't like it still moooing either

can i just say how nice it is to have a new keyboard on my laptop!!!! I didn't realize how bad my other one was until i started typing on this new one.

Kibbles nibbled; scarfed the t-bone; then chased it down w/a glazed do-nut . Wonder how many miles on the treadmill that equals.

mic - always strikes me odd to trudge thru the snow to the grill. Dh had this bright idea to pour a cement pad @ the far end of our yard to set his beloved grill upon...something to do with keeping smoke from the deck/pool? Not that we have a big back yard, when there's 6 inches of snow still on the ground & I've got wolves snapping @ my heels - hoping I'll drop the meat, it's an adventure. btw, saw your man Billy Bob T. doing an interview last night with Conan O'Brien, he was quite the charmer, polite & very funny! Something about his appearance is different, looks sharp/clean cut. Talking about a new movie - something to do with building a rocket in Kansas?

Poochie gives new meaning to the term bad dog this week. Guess she's bored, haven't had her outside since it's been so cold & snowy. At last count (week's not quite over yet), she's eaten several pairs of shoes; ipod earphones, ipod splitter (didn't eat the ipod itself for some reason lol); laptop light, pillow, baseboard & a raw potato. Worse part is she's learned to open closet doors & cupboards to get @ the stuff. Going to have to put baby latches on all the cupboards.

Bits - that take-out place (what a fantastic name captain porky's) serves my kinda grub (fat & lots of it); frog legs are hard to find in our parts. My mother has a weakness for them, always orders them if they're on the menu when family goes out. Think she does it to gross out my DSs

pam - tape place was out of the departed - crap! Officer Jeremy rented it yesterday; thought i had already watched it & took it back. He commented about the soundtrack, sez I'll luv it...big Stone groupie. Let us know what u think...no spoilers though. Snuggle in, the storm of the century is coming (not i hope).

Must say the "fake" logs have warmed up the LR quite a bit. I'm such a dork, can't figure out how it looks like fire behind the logs (projection?).

Off for a nice hot bubble bath & catch Rome & Heros from last week.

It is starting to snow here...it is a very wet heavy snow..i just went out and moved the vehicle in the driveway since our town declared a snow emergency.


I am going to wait to wacth the departed with dave...he decided to go to the bar with a few friends...so maybe that will have to be a tomorrow evening movie. we did just watch pink panther...the kids thought it was pretty funny. it was kinda funny. geared towards tweens i think.

Good Morning all.

Yesterday we went shopping and bought both a new vacuum cleaner (Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum with Inteli-Clean System) and a Keurig Coffee maker its on of those single cup makers and since I'm the only one who drinks coffee this thing is great for me.
