long & winding road tonight; where did it go?

mic - our good bud Lynn got a nom. for return to the game; glad someone from the team got it! Waiting for 2 more to accept (pm's went out - none for me ; hope you gots one).

officer jer has proclaimed my new rec. for mac & cheese to be the best Usually, i detest the stuff ; but seeing that yellow dress made me think of it (jk - ocm; another stunning dress; i look very sallow when i wear yellow unless i've got a killer tan. Why am I asking this question, you could wear a paper sack & look dy-na-mite lol).

i'm stuffed; he blew his no-carb diet; and we're happy as clams...even think i have a few pieces of cheesecake in the freezer

the sun will come out, tomorrow (i hope, the salt truck just went down the road; got 2 'unexpected' inches of hail then snow this evening - very weird?).

mac--i'm here...no detention for me...i'm to busy to handle another thing. Tonight is my 2nd annual bunco night and then we have to be in lincoln by 9 am tomorrow for the kids dentist appointments. I would love to spend the day there because I have lots of things I want to do but we have to be back by 1pm for Noah's basketball game. Then Noah starts his tourneys on sunday. I am sure they will be in the finals so they will have next week too....then his ball will be over.

mic--it is friday...don't make them work you to hard!

mac--what grade are you teaching today?

ks--any running around for the day?

ocm--that dress looks very summery..i'm with ks...the only way i wear yellow is if i'm tanned.

deena--how are your kids doing in ball?

bob--what are your weekend plans?

ed--have you been busy again? haven't seen you around.

gant--it's not the same without you here...hope you come back soon!

Morning all

My weekend plans? Might resign this morning, then fish fry tonight at Cameron's school. Either Saturday or Sunday, we're going to go to PA to visit my grandma who's recovering from hip surgery. Other than that, not much else.

Good Friday...still stuffed from mac & cheese.

Today, I have to tackle DH & drag him for blood work @ hospital. Have to bribe him with lunch too....he's not much for drs, etc.

We had an ice storm last night; no garage for us (now DH's workshop); since we added the MIL apt. I hate scraping ice off my SUV (need a stepstool or something lol); then beating on it with a rubber mallet to get the door open. Usually I pop the trunk & have youngest DS scamper thru, but it;s been freezing too.

Stoopid question of the day (my contract sez @ least 1/day ); do they have 'aftermarket' remote car starters you can install? Are they feasible/reasonable. Figure if i fire it up & let it run 20 min or so; i may have a chance getting into it w/o a struggle.

mac - saint Janet (wonder if the job's already taken ); I had your back too. I'm a glutton; for punishment among other things...will pile on in the next audience challenge.

pam - do U tap dance?

Stoopid question of the day (my contract sez @ least 1/day ); do they have 'aftermarket' remote car starters you can install? Are they feasible/reasonable.

Yep, they have them, but I don't know if they're something you can install yourself. I think they have to install it for you -- many car accessory places (like places that sell car stereos, etc.) sell them and install them. I don't think they're too expensive, but I've never priced them out myself.

A quickie today. I'm off to be Momma the teacher.

I am one of those that can wear yellow I think every color looks better on me when I am tan, and yes that dress is very very clingy and only in the summer. I bought it because my BIL is suppose to be getting married (again) this Aug and I needed a dress. The only other dresses I have are a white and black summer dress. So I thought that would be fun.

Anyway, I need to call VS today and order stock. No seriously, I think I am going to order the funeral dress just to have something in case something happens this year. I figure with the jacket, I can wear it in the winter or take the jacket off for a summer funeral.

MIL comes tomorrow..so I am not sure how much I will be on here tonight.

It is cold and windy here and they say ice this weekend Just be nice by Thursday when ds flies in from AZ

OK Bob, I will too, and we will meet, knock a couple back, discuss the world at large and worry about work later... Fish fry sounds good, they used to do those at our Moose Lodge all the time and you could smell it when you drove by.

It sucks -- I'm getting pulled into the middle of a stupid office politics fight that I want no part of. I'm literally at the point where if they continue on the way they are, I will just up and quit. Right when I get settled into a new role, one that I'm being very successful at, they're telling me that I now have to be part of a different group as well.

Bob, I know how you feel! I've got no where the position you have in your company, but I constantly get pulled into stuff here, supposedly to better how things run, but I find it mostly being asked to be a tattletale...which bothers me. I don't get paid the $$ to be babysitting the sales people, that is what the office manager and dept. managers get paid for....anyhoot, I feel for ya...hope it all works out and you don't get sucked into the office vortex.

yes they do have those automatic starters..my mil/fil got one put on their car and i believe the whole thing cost under $200

and no i do not tap dance!

For now, things are resolved. My current boss (a great guy to work for ) has agreed to filter any and all requests from the other manager for projects, so as not to waste my time or over-extend me. And he knows more about the background of the political fight that's going on and I've told him that if I get pulled into it, that I will literally resign on the spot.
