I call the bathtub tonight!! One long hot bubble bath.

January 18 Thursday

Nico woke up around 6:30am. I guess I should have mentioned that Samantha did not sleep one night through the entire time we were there. By 3am, sometimes as early as midnight, every morning she would start crying. Then I would pick her up bring her to my bed, so she wouldn't disturb the other kids. Well, she was never really happy sleeping in my bed
either. I think there was maybe 1 night she didn't cry on and off, but Wednesday night had been particularly bad.

6:45 am Samantha and Nico were up watching TV and I had started getting ready. I called TVT just as he asked me to do the night before.

"Hey are you awake?" I asked him.

"Well, I had to wake up to answer the phone.":p He teased, I guess he is never too tired to be sarcastic either. "What are you guys doing?"

"Well, we are all going to start getting ready for EMH. Nico and Samantha are already awake, so there is no reason not to do it." I said.

"What about my sugar pie?" Tvt asked.

"Tyrone is still sleeping, but since the others are awake, I'm sure she will be up soon." I answered.

"Well, you guys have fun. I'll call you once I've gotten some sleep and done a few things I need to do around here." He sounded really tired. I felt bad I woke him up.

"I'm sorry I woke you up. I told you just to sleep in and call us when you woke up. I feel bad at how awful you sound." :guilty: I said.

"No, I told you to call me. You did what I asked. You go have fun today and I'll talk to you later." He answered.

Tyrone was up about 5 minutes later and we were all set to do EMH. We arrived at Magic Kingdom all ready to see the countdown again, only this time, they didn't do it.

"Oh no, they probably wait until the official opening time to do the countdown." I said to Lee.

We fast passed Peter Pan and all of us went and rode Dumbo. This was Nico's first time ever to ride Dumbo. He, Samantha and I flew and he kept the elephant low. He loved the ride and I think as long as he is in control about how high it goes, he is happy.

nicoandmommydumbo.jpg

Next we ran to Indy speed way to do the cars.

"Here you take Sam," I said to Lee.

"Why?" He asked

"Because you are driving with Julie and she doesn’t like to steer. Nico is driving my car and I don't want Samantha bouncing around when he hits the track." I explained.

He quickly agreed, grabbed Samantha and we all drove off. Nico was so funny to drive with. You could tell he was trying so hard not to bump. The funny part was, the harder he tried, the harder he bumped the track. At times he hit the car so hard, I bounced around.:rotfl2: He was laughing hysterically as I told him he was never ever ever getting his license.:lmao:

We finished the cars and nico asked, "Can we ride the tea cups?"

"Sure, whoever wants to go fast can ride with Dad. I'll take Sammie." I was explaining to Nico and Julie, who was laughing as I said, "I'm going very very slow" to which she would reply, "No fast fast fast" as fast as she could say it.

"Oh no" Lee said. "Not today I can't go fast either. My body can't take it."

We decided to let the three kids ride together. They all laughed and Lee took pictures of them. They were having a great time.

allthreeinteacups.jpg

As we were getting off the ride, Alice and the Mad Hatter entered to ride the tea cups. They told the kids, who were trying to get out of the tea cup, that they had the fastest tea cup of all the others so they were going to take theirs.

"Did you hear that mom?" Nico asked, "They said my tea cup was the fastest." :teeth: Nico beamed with excitement.

WE rode Winnie the Pooh next, snow white, and then the Merry Go Round. There is one horse on the Merry go Round with a gold ribbon tied to the back of it's tale. Rumor has it, that is Cinderella's horse, so Nico went in search of that horse.

merrygoround.jpg

We all rode the Carousel and then we watched Mickey's philharmagic.

After, we rode It's A Small World. Every time we rode it's a small world Julie would point out to me that there were suppose to be three geese with the little girl in the second scene. One goose was missing. We got off Small World about 3 minutes before 9am, when the rest of the park opened.

"Since we have a Fast Pass for Peter Pan, why don't we go and ride Haunted Mansion, since they are about to drop the rope, then come back for Peter Pan." I suggested.

"Yeah, good idea, since I haven't done that ride yet." He said as I started for the stroller, "Leave the stroller, we really don't need it."

"Good point, but none of us have done it. Well, except Nico." I pointed out.

"Mommy, I want to ride with you so I can show you the hidden Mickey lantern." Nico said.

Apparently when TVT took Nico on the Haunted Mansion the night we were waiting for Wishes to start, Tony pointed out a hidden Mickey to Nico in the ride. Nico and Lee are excellent at spotting these. Nico was thrilled to find another one on that ride.

"Yeah, please do, I want to see that too." :thumbsup2 I said to him enjoying his excitement.

We were on the ride as Nico was saying, "I think it was on the right side, But maybe it was on the left side." as he scanned for it. We got off the ride without finding it again. I think Nico was disappointed, but I told him that I was sure Grandpapa Tony would ride it again with us and he would be able to point it out.

After riding Peter Pan, we looked at the time and we had to get out of there. "Awe, but I really wanted to ride Buzz Light year" Nico whined.

"We'll have to do that later. We can come back, but for now, we need to get to Ohana for our breakfast reservations."

TVT had called to tell us he was going to meet us at Ohana. He was there waiting when we got there. I went to check us in.

"I see we are celebrating a birthday today? Who's birthday is it?" The host was asking me.

"Actually, we are celebrating all three kids birthdays. They opted not to have a birthday party and come to Disney instead.":) I smiled.

"Hey, that is fine. We will do whatever you want. What are their names and ages." I gave him all the information and the lady behind me was smiling at me.

" What, all of their birthdays are this month and you thought you would celebrate them all together?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah, exactly." I said, not wanting to go into the explanation.

My kids birthdays are September and October and actually the girls did have a birthday party. But, Nico only wanted to go to Disney. He didn't want a party or anything. Not only that, but any birthday or Christmas or St Nicholas money they got went right into the "Disney fund." Not on my suggestion, they all chose to do that. I was telling Nico's teachers, I think they saved up 300-400 of their own money when all was said and done. So, really, this trip was as much theirs as it was mine and I was going to celebrate their bdays with them there. In fact, I don't even eat at Ohana. But it was the one character meal Nico really wanted to go to, so I made sure we were going to go to it for one meal.

But that was too long of an explination for someone I didn't know, so I just kept it short and moved on.

We were seated and Samantha was in tears. "Mommy, I need chocolate," she was crying:sad1: . Poor child, she really is her mother's daughter:rotfl: . When the waiter came to take our drink order, Samantha was under the table, still crying.

"Is there anything I can do for her?" He asked

"She is really hungry and please, if you could bring the fruit out that would be great. Grapes are her absolute favorite things and she is starving." I explained apologetically. :guilty: I hate when my kids are crying at restaurants.

He brought the grapes and Sammie pretty much stopped crying instantly. I think that child had eaten about a plate full of grapes when I asked the waiter if he would bring some ketchup. "I would like to try to get her to eat something other than grapes. Otherwise her diaper is not going to be pretty." I was telling Lee and Tony.

I put the ketchup on her plate thinking, she would eat the eggs with ketchup and that would at least be something other than grapes. My child was one step ahead of me as she proceeded to pick up a grape, dip it in the ketchup and eat it. :teeth: She was smilingly triumphantly. She did eventually eat some eggs and a few other things, but I remember the waiter kept coming by mentioning that he would bring more grapes. LOL!

nicoandmickeyohana.jpg

The characters were great and the restaurant was not crowded at all, so we saw each character at least twice. Nico got up to do the Maraca Parade. We asked Julie and Samantha if they wanted to go. Julie didn't want to and Samantha shot me a look that said, "Do I look crazy? You think I am going to chose dancing over food?" :rotfl: I laughed as I realized she
has some of her father in her too. I would chose Dancing over eating any day.;) There is video proof of that somewhere out there.

Nico had asked during the meal if we could go and play mini golf after the brunch.

"That is fine with me, if it is ok with everyone else. What course do you want to play? Winter/Summerland or Fantasia Garden?" I asked him

"I guess we can do Winter/Summerland." He decided. We finished breakfast and drove over to mini golf.:drive:

Oh I LOVE the pictures, those smiles:thumbsup2 Of course I'm partial to those taken with Mickey...;) :goodvibes The teacup picture is adorable...

I'm off to do online car shopping:drive: that's me....driving like a mad woman on the internet.....:goodvibes or maybe I'll just get me one of these :moped: :joker:

Morning all!

TGIF!!!

I will hopefully get done early here today because Dave and I are going to Lincoln tonight to a speaker. Harold Reynolds will be the speaker. Dave is pretty excited.

tvt--sorry to hear about the bad storms...those people will be in my prayers.

:guilty: 14 deaths confirmed this morning from the storms. Search teams are going house to house trying to find more people.

I've been watching it on the news. They said back when el nino was here in 98 there were tornados all throughout central Florida. Be Safe Tony

BTW..has anyone heard from Steve/Bob?

tvt - glad you're okay:thumbsup2 the Today show reported it as violent thunder storms, then they changed it to a tornado. (we had a micro burst blow out half the windows in our house & a bunch of our big trees, no electricity for couple days - and we were on vacation @ the time, my poor mom held down the fort. Funny thing, we live on top of one of the highest points in western pa. Evidently, it set down in a meadow in wooded area next to our home...skipped the 1st house, hit ours and selectively tagged several more until our street slopes upward and away it went:confused3 ...consider ourselves very lucky).

ocm - we're very big on Heinz in my neck of the woods, but even i have my limits:rotfl: , tyrone is a hoot!

pam - have fun!

mic - you've got a great attitude

deena - i :lovestruc Small World (collect vintage disneyana, some of my fav. pieces - plate & doll lol). Think my youngest is afraid of the dolls, he terms them creepy. He always drags us to Carosel of Progress (i take a nappie and rest my weary feet).:thumbsup2

Groundhog DIDN'T see his shadow, EARLY SPRING:dance3:

My oldest DS, let's call him Coach; is on his way via a 14 hour bus ride to the Big Game today:yay: ...

no, not the Super Bowl, (Tupelo, Mississippi, vs the highly regarded Mississippi Mudcats:banana: ) his very 1st game as Head Coach of the AIFL Pittsburgh River Rats
logo_small.gif
GO RATS:cheer2: :dance3:

Have a great time Pam!!

Good luck to the coach!!

Mic let us know what you find for the car.

TVT - I have been watching the news. If you need a place to come to, my door is always open.

GO RATS! :cool1: :rotfl: That just sounded fun to shout out

Well it is snowing! What the heck? it was supposed to do that last night and now its doing it.......geez...right around the time everyone will be trying to head home from work

No final decision on where to head to look at cars, been shopping around, even called a place to better one price I got and they don't have the same car...SOOOOO...back to square 1...I'm looking at Mazda 3...my son got the Mazda 6...the 3 is a little smaller, but enough for me....I'm so undecided....sick of me talking about it yet? Actually I'll keep quiet til I make a decision...:cutie:

I forgot about Bob being in Florida...he was down in Ft. Myers though, so on the other coast and further down. I've seen the pictures on TV, what a mess...I hope the deaths are small in number.

Mic - please, don't ever feel like we are tired of hearing about your decisions. I know I have the hardest time making one and I talk and talk and talk until I do make one. We are here to listen.

I have driven a Mazda 6..Im sure the Mazda 3 is cute.

Thursday Jan 18th I Won I Won!!

As we drove to winter/Summerland, Lee turned to me. "What do you think if after this we just go back to the hotel and rest for a bit?"

"I guess that would be ok. We'll see, I was thinking about taking the kids back to Magic Kingdom and riding Buzz." I said.

Samantha had fallen asleep in the car. So I transferred her into the stroller. That child is so great when things like this are concerned. She will just sleep anywhere.

sammiesleeping.jpg

We all played and it ended up being that TVT won by 3 strokes over me.

"Only 3?" :p I sassed him

"Hey, I won. Winning is winning." He said

"Are you the one that is suppose to have run the mini golf tournaments and taught all the other kids how to play. You should have won by a lot more." I pointed out.

"Mommy can we go play at the other golf course?" Nico asked.

"Fantasia Garden? We can but here is the deal Nico. We were going to play a round on Mini golf on Saturday. If we play now, we won't play on Saturday." I explained.

"Ok, mom, I guess we can just play now then." He said.

We got to Fantasia Garden and they asked which course we wanted to play.

"Nico wants to play the real golf course.":thumbsup2 Tony was saying.

Apparently there are two golf sides to Fantasia Gardens. One side is the actual mini golf and the other side is like real golf. The holes are about 80-95 ft long and there are sand traps and water holes.

I paid the lady who turned to Nico. "Oh is it your birthday today?" She asked Nico.

"Uh, yes" Nico said looking at me.

"Since it's his birthday, does that mean he gets to play for free?" I asked, jokingly.

"Well, not normally, but since you asked, I'll give it to you." She smiled.

"Really?!!" I said almost shocked. "Wow, thanks." :goodvibes I really had just been teasing her, so it was a surprise that she agreed to it.

"Yay, whoo hoo, this will be fun," I said very Un-enthusiastically to the group. "Let get this over with."

"No, we have to wait. We can't go until our Tee time is available." Tony was saying

"Oh my god you are kidding me. This is going to be soo boring." :sad2: I complained to him.

"Let's make it more interesting," :teeth: TVT was grinning, so I knew it couldn't be good, "Let's bet $10 per stroke."

"Yeah, I don't think so." I may be blonde, but even I'm not that dumb.

We started playing and sure enough the course was really hard and really really long. Sammie and Julie were hitting balls as well, so there were 6 of us playing. Although, by the 5th hole Sammie started crying. "Mommy, I need chocolate." :sad1: She cried.

Now, I completely understand the need for chocolate. I think every girl does. I kept chocolate covered pretzels and brownies for such occasions when one child would need it. I broke out the brownie and passed out bites to all the kids.

By the 6th hole, We had to let the people behind us play through because my kids and Lee and Tony were taking forever to get their balls in the hole. :jester: About the 7th hole I turned to Tony.

"You know, even though I'm winning, this is still really boring."

"You're winning?" He said in disbelief as he took out the score card (that he was keeping score on I might add) and began to add up the scores so far. He looked at me shocked, "No your not only winning, your killing us. You are up by 8 strokes." :scared1:

"Yeah you guys really have been taking a long time." :rotfl: I said to him. He shot me his don't you be sassy right now look.

Two holes later he turned to me, "You know, you're suppose to suck at this. You are up by 12 strokes."

"Huh, yeah, go figure." I shrugged. "My stepfather always told me I should take up golf, but it is just too damn boring." I explained.

The third to last hole, TVT got a hole in one. By the time the game was over, I won by 8 strokes. "I bet you are glad I didn't take you up on the $10 per stroke bet." I laughed at him.

"Uh yeah I am." He said annoyed. I think he gets frustrated when he doesn't play very well and if I beat him, he must have played like crap. :lmao:

"Where to now?" TVT asked. "I think we all need to go back to the hotel and freshen up for dinner." Lee was saying.

"Really? Is it that late?" I asked

It's 3:45 and dinner is at 6pm right?" He said

"Yep, I can't wait! I LOVE Wolfgang pucks and the chocolate fondue. I am so excited." I exclaimed.

We took TVT back to his car and we drove back to the boardwalk. Nico asked me on the way if he could see the score card to the last game.

"Hey," He said frowning, "Mr. Tony never added up my score."

"You know what that means don't you? That means that you won. It's the lowest score in golf that wins not the highest. since you got a zero you won." I explained.

Nico was thrilled. :teeth:
Once we got back to the room and settled TVT called.

"I'm reading the menu for Wolfgang Pucks and are you sure you wanted to go here for dinner?":confused3 He asked

"Are you looking at the cafe menu or the dinning room menu. I want to go to the cafe." I said.

"Well, that is the menu I am looking at and I don’t see anything on here that you would eat." He said.

"I doubt you are looking at the right Menu" I said skeptically, "I know I looked at the menu online and I was sure there was food I would eat."

"Ok let me go inside and talk to them and I'll call you back." He said.

He called back about 3 minutes later to tell me the sad news, "Not only do I see anything on this menu that you would eat, but they stopped the fondue."

"OMG, you are kidding?" I asked.

"No I am not kidding at all." he said very seriously. "She said they stopped doing the fondue."

"But that was the only reason I was going there. I was really looking forward to it." I said. :sad2: I was probably whining to him, I was so sad.

"I know, I'm so sorry. Let me go see what else is here."

We considered a few other places, House of blues, but they didn't take Disney Dinning plan, Le Cellier, Chef Mickey’s and Cape May had no openings. Finally, we found out that Ohana could take us for dinner in 1 hour. At that point, I was so bummed I didn't really care.

"You know, after Ohana, we will still have extra kids meals." I was thinking aloud. Maybe we should take the kids to Sci Fi for lunch tomorrow. Ever since Nico saw Evan in there in the cars, he has been asking to eat there." I said.

"Ok, but we need to hurry up and go," Lee was saying as I picked up the phone to schedule Sci Fi. With all the reservations made, we left for ready for a full meal at Ohana.

I don't eat at Ohana for dinner, so on the way over there I was telling Lee how hungry I was. It isn't often that I say, "I am hungry," but that night I really was.

Once we got to Ohana, I explained to the waiter that I wasn't eating. I was hoping they would do the dancing, but they didn't much to my disappointment. Our waiter is the same waiter I have every time I go there for Dinner, cousin Ed. He explained that he probably does have us every time we go there, he feels like that is his first home. We all laughed.

The table behind me started joking with me about seeing me at Christmas and arguing with me over who was going to pay their bill. We were all laughing having a great time. :goodvibes The kids didn't enjoy this meal as they had previously. Tony didn't like the steak or the sausage, but Lee liked all of it.

Nico got up to do the coconut races, but he kicked the coconut instead of using a broomstick. "you know, that is just a lot easier." he said as he came back to the table.

At last they called for all the birthday people to stand up so we could sing happy birthday to them. We were too far in the corner to have Nico recognized publicly, but cousin Ed brought him a cupcake and we all sang to him at the end of the meal. You can always count on Cousin Ed to be at every birthday with a cupcake. I like that about him. ;)

We climbed into the car after Ohana and drove back to the boardwalk

afternoon all!

a quickie as my mom is here to take noah and aubry back to her house with her. they are going to stay with her tonight and then she is going to bring them back tomorrow in time for trent's bb game.

tony--that is so sad! My thoughts are with those people.

Mic--i'm with ocm---i never get tired of it.....i am the same way....it's called undecisive!!!:rotfl:

well, I've not made up my mind if I will or will not stop talking about buying a new car...:rotfl: cause you two can't decide if you are decided or undecided  I'll let you know though, or maybe I won't, but then again.........:rolleyes1

That was cool to get free golf, so sometimes it pays to say something silly, you might just get rewarded!! :) You sure did have a packed week, you were going every minute!!

Well, I'm off to surf the net:drive: To add to my indecision, I'm even looking at a straight stick, which I can drive, just not sure if I want one or not...oh boy, here we go again:rotfl:

Have fun tonight Pam, and tell Harold hello........be sure and let me know how it was....and if he says anything at all about being fired...I'm sure he won't, but maybe you could ask him:lmao: now that would go over big:goodvibes
