am i standing alone on this one also........... :teeth:

can't help ya with football....i don't get into that sport!

Good weekend here, aside from the horrible weather. The circus was fun -- even Ryan was pretty into it for a decent amount of time. He stayed up way past his bedtime, but eventually crashed pretty hard (which was fine with me, since he slept on me :goodvibes )

Saturday was fun, we had a very nice dinner out and the bed and breakfast was great. :)

Sunday was busy, I spent 4-5 hours doing fall cleanup around our garden. I woke up with the soreness to show for it.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the fact that the Browns and the Steelers now have the same record. :teeth: :rotfl2: :lmao: :teeth:
We couldn't even beat the hapless Raiders!

As long as we trounce the Brownies, we usually don't consider the season to be a total loss:teeth: ...DH & I were bemoning this fact last night...how the mighty have fallen:sad:

Go Pens!

Put your hand down Blondie the new Millenuim didn't start till 2001.

The reason why the 3rd Millennium / 21st Century starts in 2001 is because there was no year 0 (or AD 0, 0 BC). The year before 1 A.D. is defined as year 1 B.C., so year 0 was skipped. (See below. Therefore, January 1st, year 1 is defined to be the start of the 1st century and the 1st Millennium.
Because one Millennium is 1000 years, the first Millennium ends with year 1000. The next (2nd) Millennium starts 1000 years after the first, that is in year 1+1000 = 1001. And the 3rd one starts 1000 years later than the 2nd: 1001+1000 = 2001.

The Skankees last won in 2000

2001 the DiamondBacks won. Who did they beat?
2002 the Angels won
2003 the Marlins won. Who was that they beat?
2004 well we all know who won in 2004 probably the greatest Team of our generation. :thumbsup2
2005 the Chicago White Sox
2006 some birdie team out in the middle of nowhere ( hey Pam maybe you should hook your wagon to that team)

Not much happening in my neck of the woods, wish it was Friday :teeth:

Bob, glad you guys enjoyed the circus...we haven't been to one in some time, they still have some smaller ones that come through the area.

We bought tickets yesterday to the BSO (Baltimore Symphany Orchestra Christmas Spectacular) never been before, so hoping we like it. Thought it would put us in the spirit, plus we talk every year of doing something that pertains to Christmas and we never do, so this year we are doing something!!

Wish the wind hadn't blown all the money off the money trees, I would love to pick some and stay home.

should i go back and quote what our miss pam said when we were choosing sides on the birds and cats game..............

pkasbohm said:
like i said...the only reason i want them to win is because they beat my yankees.

mac--i will move to the other side if you get lonely.....i won't eat any worms though!

and i believe this is where pam said she would go to the birds side........

well, pam didn't really say she was rooting for the cardinals.

she just didn't want the tigers to win since they beat out her boys earlier.

so, i guess i really did stand alone on that one.

i'm ready for another baseball season.........
and really ready for the football season now.....!!

I believe what i said was that i wanted the tigers to win the whole thing to make my yankees look better.

I have nothing against the cards....just not going to become a fan....

GO YANKEES!!!!!!

mic - sounds like a great show!

I drag my boys to the PBT to see the Nutcracker every year or so...they got "cooth" as my dear old dad would say:teeth: .

As much as they protest it, they seem to like to get all dressed up, then have a lovely dinner afterwards...it's their cross in life to bear. If I had me a girl they'd be off the hook. DH always manages to sign up for an OT.:)

Pssst -- football season's half over :wave2: :teeth:

that's why i said that.........and they play a team next i know they can beat

I get to go play volleyball tonight....what is everyone else going to do?????

fix eats, do dishes, watch TV, fall asleep.........hmmm..just the usual :teeth: ;)

KS, I'm very excited about going to this show, I've never been to one like it, so I'm sure it will be fun and interesting. I really, really wanted to go to Radio City, but the bus trips from around here were pretty hefty $$$ and I didn't really get on it soon enough, they go quickly. Maybe next year I'll think about it earlier and make plans. I've seen it before and LOVE it, it sure can put the spirit in Christmas attending it.
