I've done nothing but price cruises today, hard work...someone's got to do it.

Still the visitors remain, anyone missing a kid or two? Think they're hoping for dinner (not), last call! Out they go before the Steelers come on:Pinkbounc

Evening, once again, nothing done today.......I fell asleep on the bed and then had to fix dinner.........found a good recipe that was easy and pretty good for a change.....

Read the reviews, people have some good ideas for spicing it up. I also did not used packaged mashed potatoes, but made my own :goodvibes My family can sniff out "fake" tateys so I don't even try it.. :teeth:

evening all!

okay as for my day:

Trent lost his football game...they ended up 2nd in the season. Noah did okay in his baseball try outs and before Noah's I talked to the head of the baseball about trent. He said he told dave (which dave has NO memory of it) that he never said trent could not try out for the 12 year old team. He changed his tune to me and said trent could try out but if he didn't make the 12's then he was done...can't go down and play with the 11's. I said i understood that and I would leave it upto trent.
Well, trent decided to try out with the 12's. He said that if he didn't make the 12's he would just play jaycees and try again next year. He had the WORST try outs EVER!!! He has never been good when he is being "tested" the coaches know that but..it seems they do not get the last say who gets put on their team which to mean is total bulls*&t because they are the ones who has to coach the kids. Anyway, so we don't know how it went yet...we are suppose to know anywhere from tonight to a few days. I do have to say that this whole thing and the way it is set up really makes me fume!! The kids, to try out, didn't even bat...they just fielded from shortstop, and caught fly balls...oh and they did a 20 yard dash!!! Now tell me how you are suppose to judge on that?! :confused3

Oh well, i will be done with my venting now...thanks for listening!!!

hi everyone..... :yay:

i went back for evening church service and it got out late.
didn't get home to going on 8:00 this evening.

just now checking out the emails.

pam, sorry that turned out awful for trent.
they should take him on the team no matter how his tryouts were.

tomorrow is going to be a real nice day i think, weather wise.
maybe i will take a long walk then.
don't think i want to work tomorrow.

sweet sleep

okay, an update on the baseball try outs:

well it sounds like trent is not going to be able to play on 12's. The big wig said that if he tries out for the 12's that if he didn't make it he was done....well the big wig called and asked if he would play on the 11's because he is a great ball player but wants to give other kids that can't play up or down an opportunity to play too. So we talked to trent and i guess he decided to play with the 11's. The other boy that was younger than trent and tried out for the 12's had the same opportunity...he had a chance to play down if he wanted but i don't think it sounds like he is going to play....which is just to bad

Anyway, so far it is all working out...now we just have to wait until tomorrow to hear about noah!

Heading for bed...have a good night all!

CLANG CLANG CLANG IT'S MONDAY ....GET UP AND GET MOVING!!

What a great weelend! Friends in for the weekend doing the Disney thing...Perfect temps.....no rain....no lines......no crowds....!! :cool1:

Morning........more later....Monday morning rush

Pam, I feel your pain with the try-outs, been there done that and at times it is NOT fair at all.....and then Trent feels in the middle. However it works out, hope he is happy and plays his best, and shows them what he is made of!! Someday when we have about 2 hrs. to talk :teeth: I'll tell you the ordeal we went through with my son with baseball...and not as a mother speaking, but what I learned from others, he was an excellent ballplayer who got crapped on due to politics.......

Have a good one...who did you meet up with Tony? Squid & Colleen? Glad you had fun!

Love ya guys..... :moped:

yep...met up with them Saturday and we were at Mk at opening....then yesterday we were at EPCOt at opening.....2 really great Disney days as far as crowds and lines go....

Morning!

mic - sounds like entree the school cafe used to dish up...yumm. I make a scaled down version (since only 2 in the family will eat it, just grd. meat & spices topped with taters & gravy). Every now & then I make another school comfort food, beef pinwheel made with grd meat & bisquick mix topped off with...more gravy. Ever try the Pillsbury brand that comes in a box...scrumptious. LUV the icons!

pam - youngest DS went thru that same play up or down nonsense. Even after an outstanding tryout we'd get the...why don't you help out the younger team, give an older kid a chance to play, etc. Got to the point where he elected not to go thru it...then they questioned him repeatedly why he didn't:confused3 . He's the youngest in his grade, hates to play w/younger kids but, overtime has realized the advantages to being the "big fish in the little pond".;)

tvt - tour-guide tony:) nice of you to show off your home.

mac - going to hit the high 60's today (a fluke for sure!), I've got errands to run, youngest DSs car in shop, hope he has money squirreled away to fix his muffler. Think I shall leave my wallet @ home when I take him to pick it up, just to see what happens.:teeth:

:rotfl: smarty-pants:rotfl2:

Beat this...everyone whose baseball team was out of the playoff runs the 1st month of the season, raise those paws.;)

Steelers have been badly coached this year, our run is over I'm afraid.

Crosby of our Penguins is burning up the ice, maybe I'll become a hockey fan like DH.
