Took youngest DS back to ortho surgeon today, good news his bone has regenerated in foot & growth plate looks fine, will avoid surgery!

Off to send off nasty missives to DVC/BCV & anyone else I can think of to *itch about my crappy customer service. Ex told my DS they're probably hiding in our luggage, waiting to pounce. I put them in garbage bags & sprayed them...should take care of it (i hope lol).

Pam takes everyone's name, puts them in a hat, and picks. You are PM'd a name of the person that you are suppose to buy for. DON'T SHARE THE NAME WITH ANYONE (some people have issues with this) We send the gift no later than Dec 15th. When we all receive our gifts, we tell what we got and who had us.

not luv bugs (amazing how much action those critters get lol), cockroaches...this whole idea of calling them palmetto bugs is absurd IMO. I've managed enough crappy rental units for slumlords in my R.E. career to know a roach when I sees one...sent lots of them BCV suckers to their happy place. Stay tuned, boring trip report up next.

Odds on, if you live in South Florida, you have already encountered a Palmetto Bug or two. What are they? Simply stated, a Cockroach. But not your ordinary run of the mill cockroach. No, they are nothing like the cute little creepy crawlies you see in Orkin commercials.

For one thing, Palmetto Bugs tend to be a bit larger then your average roach. I'm not kidding when I say that I have seen them grow to three inches or more. You may think cockroaches are gross, but the experience is much more vivid when all the gory details are magnified. As if that wasn't enough, Palmetto Bugs can fly! Yes, fly. You have never been creeped out, until you see a three inch roach fly up and land on the table next to you. And it gets worse, Palmetto Bugs aren't afraid of the light. You're just as likely to encounter one during the day as at night. The last little detail to distinguish the Palmetto Bug from your average cockroach is that they are armored. Step on one and you're lucky if you get its attention. You don't even get the pleasure of squishing one

Yes, they are a roach of sorts, eewwwww...I don't like either variety and I've only seen a palmetto bug once or twice and the sucker was HUGE....yuck

We always have a good Secret Santa/Kris Kringle, so if you think it might be fun...IT IS, join in!!

Ed, I'm all for hanging at that spot.....it is so nice here today, I could just walk out the door here and take off.........but alas...I must stay.

Ok, I inquired about a job with less hours at an assisted living home, and they called me today. I'm supposed to go Monday for an interview, now I'm torn that if they would offer me the position (receptionist also) if I want to change. I'm really liking the idea of less hours, but it means working every other weekend........oh I hate making life altering decisions. Plus, I at least have a little time accrued here, and would have to start all over there......sheesh....

Sign me up for secret santa thingie...but I'm not buying any thongs! I'm slow, you'll have to walk me thru it as to whether there's a set $ amount, appropriate items (gag gifts)...how about a recap of last years' haul if anyone remembers?
