OMG!!! How incredibly rude!!! I can't even imagine. I would do the same thing you are doing, but that is because I try to accomidate everyone, at the inconvience of myself too. I'm so sorry your DH's family is like that. I would be highly aggitated.

Unfortunately, it's making for friction between dh & I; hope tensions settle down quickly. I am "bummed out" must be hormones.

Good Morning Everybody, glad to see the gang is up this a.m..

Morning, we are all up....thanks Tony, but I slept through your wake up hollar this morning for a little extra shuteye...Now everyone is hovered in the kitchen eating breakfast, so I backed out...my kitchen is rather large, but it's layed out weird (remember my house is over a 100 yrs. old), so we tend to all walk into each other, so I beat it out of there while ds is cooking breakfast...little one is eating oatmeal and older little one is engrossed in watching Harry Potter.......he gets in a zone watching TV, so we won't hear from him for a bit :goodvibes

Right chilly here this morning too and the sun hasn't real shone since the kids got here...tonight is supposed to get really cold...they will all freeze...LOL

Waiting for news this a.m. on MIL....always something to worry with, thanks for kind thoughts

KS, sorry you are playing revolving dinner times...I can imagine it is hard with a blended family. The only player missing at our house will be youngest ds's girlfriend, she is going to NJ (hi Gant) to her stepmother's family for a few days. She will be missed, as she has been here a lot the last few days too. I've forgotten what it's like to have an overflowing house ;) Gant, they live in Wayne, NJ I think she said? Now don't hold me on that, when I asked her it was like a zoo in here.. :teeth:

Momma, do the 'skins play on turkey day? KS, I see the Steelers pulled it out yesterday. I think we will eat around 4 ish too, that is a good time. I know you miss being back home :guilty: but you are expecting a good friend, so that will help I'm sure..........and on Friday morning........CHARGE.....!!!!!!!

Well, off to find me some vittles this morning too.....after this week, its back on the salad trail....I ate one last night for dinner.

Pam, you working M, T & W? Deena, start working on those green beans :thumbsup2 Bob, what are your dinner plans? and Ed, packed yet????????? There is a restaurant in Nashua?? that is a turkey place, I think we ate there one time, but can't remember the name, I'll google it later. Mac, how big a turkey you fixing?

hope everyone is doing ok here.

keisha, yes, that is aggravating to have to change your schedule around for everyone else.
ocm, maybe next year you could do thanksgiving at your familes in dc.
but this year you will have mr tony with you and the kids will love that !

mic, tired yet? i know you are loving every minute of having the kids with you. how are the littles doing?

mic, how is your mom and now your mil doing?

pam, are you in the closet again hiding from the kidlettes.
lucky you only having to make one dish for t day.

for us, we never have issues on where to go or who to be with for the holidays. we have always stayed home each holiday. truth is, never have been invited to either my or sh's family for holiday get togethers.

we live too far away from all of them. which is a good thing

one year before we had kidlettes, we went to my boss's house for a get together for t day. it was a group of singles and us that did a potluck.
it was probably the worse meal we had. everyone brought potatoe salad and no one did a turkey.... :rotfl:

took off work today as todd is home from college and he has today off work also. looking at the clock, this kid might sleep until noon today.......he came in very early this morning......tip toeing........

oops, didn't list some of the homies here.

deena, i see your temps finally dropped......i can't imagine having warm weather this time of the year. need a receipe for those green beans you are taking to your grandma's for t day?

bob, are you going to help dw with the shopping friday or just take care of your littles and have her go solo? she has a long business trip coming up so i guess you and your little guys get to decorate the tree this year.

and if i forgot anyone else, i am sorry. i'll take notes next time....

oh mic, i bought a 13.45 lb turkey. we love turkey here.
david will come home wednesday eve and todd is here now.

toddster told me we need to eat at noon on thursday as he will go pick up gf and bring her here to eat. then they have to leave at 2 and drive to her families house for dinner at 4. she has a lot of relatives and they do not take no for an answer.......they are from the phillipines and immigrated to the US about 15 years ago. todd said they cook a lot of noodles and rice when he eats at their place. every wednesday the entire family, 5 siblings, their spouses and kids and todd's gf and another single sister and parents get together for a late dinner.

i hope he likes those relatives........

Deena - please clean out your box!!!

Its clean--well a little clean ;)

Mic sorry about your mil. Hope she is out soon.

Mac--nothing special with the greeen beans my grandma just doesnt think I can cook all. We just add a little onions and bacon when we cook them. No casseroles or fancy stuff.

morning all :surfweb:

Oh how i dislike mondays!!!

Sounds like everyone has checked in this morning!

My monday morning hasn't started very well....Noah is still sick! We took him to the doctor friday and they strepped him and it came bag neg. he has been complaining all weekend about it. Now this morning aubrey and trent both woke up and said their throats hurt. I sent trent to school because i already got a letter from his school saying he missed 4 days this semister and missing anymore can damper his learning :sad2: Told him to try it and if he had to come home to call me. I kept aubrey home today because it is just pre school and not worth in in my opinion!

mic--sounds like you are having a great time with your family! I am off thurs, and friday. Dave has to work on fri. so i am thinking about taking the kids to a movie and then coming home and putting up the christmas tree.

mac--sounds like you will be a mad cooker!! We supplied the turkey for daves mom's this year....dave got a turkey from coke...i will never fix it so i just gave it to her :teeth: she can have the honors!

ks--that stinks that you have to change your time! I can kinda see where they are coming from...it is sooooo hard when you have more than one on the same day but i would NEVER ask for the host to change the time of her dinner!

gant--i think i get espn2...i will have to try to check it out! I will be looking for you! If the camera falls on ya don't forget to pull your earlobe to let us all know you are thinking of us...you know...the secret code  :teeth:

ocm--sounds like you have everything all lined up! :thumbsup2 glad sammie was good for you in church.

ed--when do you leave/return from disney? Hope you have a great time!

bob--what are your turkey day plans?

deena--get those green beans done...don't want to let down your g'ma!

Morning all :) Late start this morning. I had to take Ryan to his 18 month check-up.

She's planning on trying to get a lot of it done this Friday (she normally does a lot of her Christmas shopping then normally) and I'll take care of anything non-clothing related during the month, somehow.

I'm leaving on Nov 30 coming back Dec 6

HEY, I'm on your way south, don't forget me either...my bag can be packed in say 3 minutes tops........I'm easy ;) :p

News on MIL is more TESTS....she is in a regular room though, no ICU or anything..nothing confirmed but our thoughts thinking it could be a blot clot in the arm (she had no feeling, they couldn't get any "readings" off that arm), but tests will tell...we all may trek over later on today. No sense in heading over now as DBIL is there and I''m sure she will be out of the room for testing most of the day.

DIL and I are taking the boys to picture people for pictures..she got them cute outfits so we will spruce them up and hit the mall. I''m so tired today and dragging...really feel like just staying at the house, but it will be nice to get a nice pic, plus this way I know it will get done and I'll get my pic of them :thumbsup2

Pam, sorry the kids are all feeling blah. Better get better before turkey day arrives! No sickies on the t-day

Deena, that is all we season green beans with around here, bacon grease or ham broth...personally, I like them just plain, with salt and pepper on them. At least you got the dish with the least amount of fussing to fix :goodvibes

Hey Bob, how was Ryan's 18 month road test? Good for a couple thousand more miles? :sunny: I can't believe he is 18 months old already, wow time flies...!!

My little 2.5 yr old has surprised me so much, he is very articulate and has been potty trained for several months...he does real well with it...I'm pleased as punch for him (and his parents)..he is so cute talking to me...I love it! He can carry on the cutest conversation with you. The perks of having an older sibling :thumbsup2

It's nice that one of my brothers and my mom is coming too. At least I'l have a little bit of my family here along with Grandpapa Tony.

No, they don't play on Thanksgiving. In the years past, it was always the Redskins and the Cowboys.

This year, Detriot, Dallas, and Denver are being broadcasted.

All good :thumbsup2 60th percentile weight, 90th height. :thumbsup2 He's a little congested from last week, but nothing to be concerned about.

Of course, he's now mad at me -- mean daddy made him get a shot.

beans, beans the musical fruit:teeth:

polished the last of the silverware, need provisions...where did all the meat in my freezer go...think middle son is the culprit (darn adkins diet).

mac - sounds like a good thanksgiving to me, the whole hustle & bustle holiday thing gets worse the older the kids get & they develop significant others.

mic - sorry about MIL, will keep her in my prayers. I left house before game was over, didn't want to get blamed as a jinx for another Steeler loss. Wonder if they'll let me in the house next sunday?

ocm - before I got old & breakable, we used to do the thanksgiving bowl thing too, great fun. Sometimes different holiday observance are better...or so I hear. So is tvt shopping till he dropping too on black friday? I'm going, just not sure what for:) , always wind up in Best Buy's line getting some cool electronic something we don't need.

ed - I'm @ the point I wish I had planned on going to the World over/after Thanksgiving. Look forward to hearing if the crowds are as light as they say. We were told the 1st 2 weeks in Dec. were slow...I didn't agree. Are you doing MVMCP:thumbsup2?

bob - you are a great pa...even if you are the bad guy right now. personally, i always bribed my boys w/a new toy/DVD, worked wonders. Not sure if that pc parenting these days though.;)

deena - simplicity is the best way, I'm serving cheese sauce on the side this year for the calorie challenged. Did you ever get any pics of your trip to share?

pam - sorry to hear your kids are feeling well, they do tend to pass the bugs back & forth. I don't think my youngest has ever not had some sort of sniffle over Thanksgiving/Xmas holiday. He's @ academic game tournament today (trying to qualify for national trip, has just missed it for the last several years) hope he makes it this time. First basketball game today too, he's 2nd string but, just glad he made the team & gets his pic in the yearbook.

can't forget gant:wave:

off to glare @ my better half some more before he goes to work.
