Trip went well (e.g. didn't want to kill anyone :teeth: ). I even started playing decent golf (by the final round, just in time to pack up the clubs and come home  )

Family comes home Friday -- unfortunately, my quiet days at home went from three to two. Tomorrow, after work, I have to drive 2 hours each way to/from PA to go to a wake for a cousin of mine. He passed away Monday after suffering from MS for like 15 years. :(

It's official....NJ is CLOSED. The casinos are closed, you can't buy lottery tickets, the state parks and beaches are closed....but they are still collecting tolls on the toll roads...go figure. This should be interesting. I can just imagine the squirming the legislators are doing who have kickbacks from the casino industry. Ah yes....New Jersey and you....perfect together!

Adam

OH MY!! What a mess!!! :grouphug:

Anybody want to by Jersey? I'll bid a nickle.... :lmao:

Thanks guys :) This will be sort of a wierd wake -- he's been ill for so many years (essentially a vegetable probably for 5 or 6 years), so in a way, I think many people are glad that his pain and suffering is over at this point. :(

That is just so aweful. I'm sure some people will be glad he is out of the pain, but it is still very hard to lose someone. Was he older than you?

No matter how long he has been ill for it is still sad to see him go. :guilty:

Sorry to hear this Bob.... :grouphug:

OK, OK, referee has shown up here.........I put you both in charge, as neither of you as separate entity's can control this group ;)

Bob, so sorry about your loss :grouphug: Glad to hear your golf game improved though and you enjoyed your trip to Florida...we missed you around these parts

Seems we now have twins hanging out with us...TVT may be able to identify them from behind and tell us who is who :goodvibes

MuffyJo, back to work too? Blech..I had a pile of mail to open from Sat/Mon and then there will be more this afternoon :sad2:

ADAM....scrumptious is all I can say.........sorry your state shut down...how long will that last when the seniors storm the govt. cause they can't get in to the casinos... :p

Ed, waxing poetic on us, ahhh...don't you love a man who can spout such philosopical ditties..... :thumbsup2

Mac, did you hit curves this morning? Work out a little extra for me...although I was pretty good this weekend. I also bought a new blender, and took fresh strawberries, some skim milk and frozen yogurt to make a milkshake like drink...few carbs/calories or fat!! So I had that for breakfast this morning. Might throw a dancing banana in accidentally next time I make one :lmao:

Oh boy...this phone today

Morning

Ugh! Someone please tell me to stop going to bed at 3am. :sad2:

So sorry about your cousin, Bob. :grouphug:

Ok next questions about those "close tag " thongs. What's the difference between "close current tag" and "close all tags"? Is it permanent, or just for that post? Bob? I'm not trying it :sad2: :p

Psst, Pam . . . I don't have to go back to work until next Tuesday ;) :teeth:

Hi all :wave2:

He's my second cousin (my mom's first cousin), so yes, he's older than me. He's the youngest cousin of that generation, though -- I think he was only 48 or 49.

Wow, pages already this a.m. - was hoping there weren't any more fireworks here. Hope you all had a great holiday. Apparently, we had the "man" called on us for our impromptu fireworks display. We passed him while we were driving to our town's fireworks (our were better :) ). We've got an evil witch who lives across the street, humorless, dired up old *itch. Yells @ kids you have the gall to walk on the sidewalk in front of her house. Little does she know we've got bags of the stuff. We only had fountains, screaming bees out last night. The "big boys" we take over to an isolated field by our house. I may shoot off a bottle rocket each night over her roof for the rest of the year - just for fun.;) She's already called the building inspector on us several times...despite the fact that we have permits for work we do. He finds it amusing, I don't. Latest time due to replacing a retaining wall. Special place in my heart for neb-nosed poa's.

Bob - sorry for your loss.

pam - Kuddos to your boy! my money tree has been descimated by locusts...i.e. my children.;) Even factoring in Pampers, they were a lot less expensive when they were toddlers. Give them a pacifier, couple of cookies & they were good to go!

sweetlovin - ::cop: 's back! He's half Italian & gets an awesome tan after only a few days in the sun...what takes me months to achieve. Funny though, the 1st day he used sunscreen but, since Mom wasn't applying it he missed a few spots...sort of speckeled @ this point...tee, hee! Waiting for him to start whining @ the end of the week that more funds need to be forthcoming...shake that dead 'ole tree boy...the bank of "mom" is closed this week.

tvt - I'll trump you to a quarter for NJ...glad you had an enjoyable day. You may just be one of the luckiest guys I know...lives with the Mouse (sort of) gets to visit @ will, plays golf like a fiend & watches all the shuttles takeoff...oh, and you have big shoes too...a life well-lived!

Have a good one!
