Bob, you would think someone would call about t-ball huh?? We are so spoiled in our little town....baseball is pretty big around these parts and little league is taken pretty seriously, so overall, it is run pretty proficiently and no lapses in what is going on. Our town's little league team actually made it to the LL World Series about 10 or so years ago..which was quite an accomplishment for a little place like us. They didn't fair so well, but at least they made it!

I agree, bring on the toddy's... I might need to hide a little flask to keep warm at the game tonight...LOL....boy, would I get busted if they found that on me going through the gates.........

I remember years ago, when t-ball first got started around here, there was NO 10 run rule or how many times a kid could bat per inning...then they got smart and when my boys played, it was 10 batters if 3 outs weren't attained....but things are different. My son was telling me how different it is for his son playing t-ball...he says "Mom, its just not like when we played when we were little"....and I don't think he is saying the direction it has taken is for the good.......LOL....but the little guy did well for his first year. He actually learned to keep focused which for him is very hard...his mind is all over the place at times. So if he got something positive out of it this year, that is very important.

Deena, have you heard from Momma? Is she enjoying her trip?? Bet they are having a blast...... :cool1:

I'm not sure how many coaches Aubrey's teams going to have. He just called and said he was on a crutch but is going to have practice tomorrow night so he can order shirts for his team.

Mic--have fun at the game tonight...you will have to tell us all about it!

Bob--i was like you..i was wandering when Aubrey was going to practice. Dave is Noah's coach and they have already had 4 practices already...Aubrey starts a day later than him.(i think)

Mac--oh you poor thing!!! :guilty: Hope you feel better soon!

Yes, bring on the toddy's......that is a guy right?! :teeth:

i miss momma.
when does she come back?

i hope she had a blast with her girls there !

Flooded backyard (this is usually a 5 ft wide brook at best)

flood

beautiful floors!

cute kid!

nice back yard - scary flood waters!

whenever I "show" a property & it has a creek in the back yard, the inevitable question arises...how far up does the water come when it rains? My guess-timate always is...about 20 feet about the bank, minimum but, let's read the disclosure the seller signed. Of course, the seller always insists that said creek never floods:rolleyes: , no particular reason the basement was just painted. Guess that's why they have home inspections & flood plane maps/insurance.

ed, i really like the low windows in that room.

you don't have gators in your back yard do you??

this is the first time i have seen chris. a real cutie, he gets his looks from you i bet

good morning all

or should i just say morning......

i was going to sleep in as long as i could today but what plans i had didn't work out.

college son wakes me up at 6ish and says, mom, the cat is crying, you need to feed her.

then he went back to bed.

ugh.......that kid......

he could have feed her.

she gets a insulin shot around 5:50 each morning and her diabetic food.
if it's not the kids, it is the cat.....

hope your day is great

i didn't answer the phone this morning to work.
i just want to rest and do nothing.
those antiibiotics are wiping me out for some reason.

Hang in there Mac :( Hope everything goes well tomorrow. :(

Ironically, yesterday I complained about not hearing about t-ball. Last night, when I got home, I had a message from the coach. Cameron got on the same team as our neighbor's son (his best friend). :thumbsup2 We're supposed to start practice on Friday night, but that's all weather permitting (two words I've heard too much lately :rolleyes1 )

Morning - off to the mall, housebound long enough this week...need to spur the economy.

mac - hard to ignore a crying kitty, especially a hungry one...let him in the bedroom & take a catnap together!
Hope the surgeon gets you on the schedule quick-like.

morning all

mac - i hope all goes well :grouphug:

have fun with t-ball. my dd first practice 10 years ago, there was a kid who ran to 3rd after hitting the ball. he then told the kid rounding 2nd base that HE was going the wrong way.

it was so cute & hilarious

ed - big backyard!
love the floors :goodvibes
can you send the contractor by me, they seem to be like crap here

they don't think, the guy was installing the towl rack in the bathroom
he measured it to the height of a 5 year old!
and he drilled into the tile

i will never to work on the house again. :sad2:

Morning all!

ed--your wood is beautiful!!!! :thumbsup2 Chris looks like he is having a good ol' time playing baseball! That is alot of water in the creek when it is usually only 5ft. across!

mac--I am glad that they are getting you in right away that way you get the problem taken care of! Hope the dope works for ya!

muffy--that is a funny story about t-ball--the kid actually thought the other one was doing it wrong :rotfl:

ks, have fun at the mall...spend a little for me too!

bob--seems that if we say something we usually hear in the next day or so...that is how it usually works for me  I have been meaning to ask.......did you have all those people in your house or did it stop raining long enough for you to have the party outside?

mic--how was the game last night? I saw where they won for ya!

these kids are AWFUL today...or i should say the heathen one is way worse than normal :sad2: He just told a little girl that he was going to get a gun and shoot her mom and dad?!?!? Now, why does a 5 yr. old have to say something like that? :confused3

No, for the most part, they were all inside. It wasn't too bad -- I was able to escape for part of the time out to the deck (with the excuse that I needed to grill the food :teeth: ) with my BIL and our contractor (a friend of BIL's), who came over to discuss a few more details of our basement (which is completely framed now and getting electrical roughed-in today :thumbsup2 ).

Hi Adam...how were the strippers?!?! :teeth:

Bob, that is cool! Sounds like it isn't going to be a whole lot longer before your house becomes bigger!!

Afternoon my friends...first chance I've had to drop by...this morning is a blur.......we didn't get home til 12:30 a.m. this morning from Baltimore, so I'm a tired pup.........BUT the game was awesome...WE WON...after a little scare that Schilling (da bum) was gonna lose it for us. What a thing of beauty to see Manny hit a long ball...........we were trying to find our section/seats, and went up the place we had sat before, figuring it would lead to the section we were in, couldn't find it, went ALL the way back down from where we had started (hey, got my walking excercise in :thumbsup2 ) and found out we had to go up the escalator that says "Private" only to find that our section/seats were "box" that are entered via the VIP level.. so walking around was awesome, all the jazz the high and mighty get privilege to...we peeked in some of the doors to the private seats/areas.....pretty nice. We had good seats...heck, you raise a little menu and they bring the stuff to ya...............but I'm too cheap to buy much there, it is SO expensive, so we just watched the others around us blowing their cash. Yep, it was a nice night for baseball, cool, but comfortable. It's turned into a nightmare getting back to 95 from where we had parked and that is what took so much time, once on the highway, we zoomed home. I is tired.......and then this morning at work was zany..so here I am :goodvibes

Mac, hope you are resting and feeling better. I'm sorry, if my son had woke me up, for something he is capable of handing...he would have been barking up the wrong tree ;) Some things I overlook with the boys, but some things I take a stand and stick by it...LOL.. :goodvibes

Cute t-ball story, we have a thousand here too....it is a cute time with the kids when they are that age....my youngest was playing and we were video taping him...he kept hollaring (not paying attention to the game he was in or the fact he was playing in the outfield) "turn that camera off, I said turn it off NOW"...LOL....so now we have it taped forever......

Ed, good wood my man...........oh it is awesome looking, I envy you, it is beautiful. What a handsome dude of a ballplayer also...he looks like a pro!! Yikes, the river is a risin' Ethel........hope things are receding and the rain has let up. It is overcast here, but no rain the last 2 days

:wave2: Hi Adam..........

Swam back from the mall, roads were flooded, only 1 lane open - yikes. Mostly bought for myself - shameful! DH & jr. both have birthdays soon & I've got squat to wrap so far.

Muffycat - funny story, I've seen that a few times. Always like when the outfielders pick posies. My youngest DS always brought home a pocket full of pebbles...I've got quite a rock garden.

rain, rain go away!

adam: just a little wave today? you must be buried in work today. hang in there and it will be done soon. we have missed you for morning coffee and grub

mic: long time no hear.......you buried at work also? do i have to come over there and help you out. ok, i'll be there in about 13 hours.

deena: quiet on your side too today. whip the kids into shape and show them who is boss. oh, matthew already cleaned his room? nevermind.

pam: i still say, stick those heathen kids in the closet. sit on the couch, eat bon bons and watch the tube. deck now done completely??

bob: nice goings on at your place. when it is all finished we will be over for lunch and foosball in the basement.

ed: is that ark built yet? well, get out the kayak and canoe then.......hoping you start to get a lot of :sunny: now. was that you that was waving to the camera on tv last night? saw part of the news and the rain and i could have sworn that was you... btw, nice floors.

ocm/sweets: the lady with many disguises. whenever your return from the motherland, you have to tell us all about the girls trip. did you eat there?
you have been missed.

keishashadow: come out and play. tell us more stories of the past. anything good to tell when you bar keep......?

tvt: still out there golfing?? did you catch sweets in florida? you should make her caddy for you. she would like that a lot. it would make her feel special. and if she feels special, you will too.. :rolleyes1

muffycat: still rooting for those teams? what do you want to bet my cardinals will whoop your team? no go you say, well, then if my team wins you clean my house. if your team wins, i will send over merry maids company......

and to the lurkers, kild is still MIA
