Good morning friends.....

mmmmmmmm...another lazy morning for me, been awake for a bit, just lazing in bed watching my soaps I taped........

Let's see, I love just about all Christmas movies, really the old ones though, the one's everyone said are favorites...I also like White Christmas and as a family we love A Christmas Story......yikes, if I listed all the really old holiday movies I liked, this page would be a mile long......and cartoons, well any Disney holiday cartoon (except the newer ones, they are just ok) are great. Reminds me, I need to dig out some of the holiday DVD's and start watching....and TCM will have a bunch on next Saturday.

Toaster ovens are nice, I had one at one time, but I've become a microwave junkie......

for christmas cartoons, i have to say the ren and stimpy ones.

the christmas story my kids and sh loved. i like it too, i usually see something unique in it each time i watch it on tv.

traditonally i start watching its a wonderful life on thanksgiving but htis year has been different. i haven't been able to watch movies yet.

I'm WRAPPING........be proud of me my friends.......and now I'M in a PANIC ....I know, I know, my son that still lives at home is a tad spoiled, and yes I've bought him some very nice excellent gifts (mostly clothes for the office), but it seems like there is nothing there............. for what I've spent....so tomorrow I may look for some little goodies for him...of course I was going to look for stocking stuffers too.......I'm so bad....I SO prefer to give than receive.....

Ok mac, here is a hint....this person Clark had an affair with, never married her...she had a TV show on television when you and I were youngsters....let's see....hmmmm...another hint........ok, her initials are LY.....

Please don't fret about the tree being up....you have a good heart and I know that you have lots of love in that heart too....that is THE most important part of this season, not the trimmings or how many gifts we buy...being a friend is an EXCELLENT gift...all by itself

I wrpped all the gifts that are for DC yesterday. Then, I realized that I had no idea who my mom invited to her Open House Chrsitmas eve. I swear to you, I have to go out and buy about 25 more gifts!!!!

No, no Christmas cards done here yet. Im bad. I did buy them but so far thats as far as I have gotten.
Matthew was sick last week and now Connor and I have it. It must be our early Christmas present!
David took Evan to the Texans game today. Its Evans first football game and I hope he has a good time with out with daddy.
Michael, Connor and I are going shopping shortly. The boys exchange names with each other so Michael has to go buy for his person.

Mac sorry your SS gift hasnt made it to its person yet. I have a lot of problems with out PO too.

Mic I know how you feel on the Christmas stuff. In your head it seems like there is a good amount of gifts, then you lay them out and wow.....thats it?

Matthew is my easiest and Connor. Michael is harder and so is Evan.

Momma, you need to buy for everyone that shows up at your Mom's? W W...we kinda quit doing all that years ago, we give a family type gift to my husband's siblings (see, I have no siblings, just my husband does) so that makes it a little easier, and I try and give a little something to our nephews littles...not much, just a little something. I cut back dramatically this year, and it is really nice I didn't put so much pressure on myself to buy, buy, buy........plus I really needed to pare the shopping budget back..I did good

Ok, gonna see if I can talk the fellas into eating Chineese today so I don't have to cook........

if you went to block buster and bought 25 - $5.00 gc then you will be way ahead and done with the shopping.

and if no one shows up or at least maybe 4or 5 of the people, then you have stuffers to give your kids for valentines day or easter or maybe martin luther king jr day...........

Yes, she personally may have put the rumour out of circulation, but since her death, her daughter has strongly suggested that her mother who supposedly "adopted" her really was her birth mother and he her father...after hearing her and seeing some of the "evidence", I tend to believe that she really is their birth daughter.......just my 2 cents....

Ok, just ordered a DVD set for dh.........well, its really for me.... but I'll give it to him.........It's called "The Thin Man" from way back when and its a boxed set of about 5 in the series............we will enjoy them

mac, supposedly Barnes and Noble is guaranteeing delivery....but if it is late, I'm not too upset, as it was an afterthought gift and he will be surprised no matter when I gift him with it..........I love ordering from B&N online anyway, free shipping on orders of $25 and I belong to their whatever and get an extra 10% off.......and I save mypoints from online and usually get a B&N gift card with my points I've earned.........so let's guess if it gets here....hey, maybe the dvd's will come before my SS/KK.......... just kidding.....to my SS, ya know I love ya and I'm teasing........

That is a good idea mac. I also do have some gifts I can regift, such as bath stuff. I just cant believe she invited all these people. My mom and I are extremely stubborn when we think we are right. Bottom line, I was avoiding my stepfathers family. If my aunt had done what she normally does, she would have had christmas eve at her house and I would have avoided seeing them. My mom knew what I was doing. So, she told my aunt that she would host christmas eve this year and that way I get to see my stepfamily.

Like I said, my mom can be very demanding, and she has already booked up chrsitmas eve night, christmas morning and now she is insisting that we go to her house the night of the 22nd. I love my mom, but she needs to realize that she is coming back to my house the following week. This is the only time to see Lee's brother.

She wants to have a family dinner with my brother, his GF, and my family and her. I have 4 nights and we do have friends we need to see too.

Wish me luck with her. She can get very stubborn and moody when she wants to.
