Evening all........whew...busy day giving away my money Lots of grocery shopping today, Wal-Mart, Sam's and the regular grocery store....did find what I think to be a cool pair of dress sandals...Off Broadway Shoe Store is almost overwhelming...gazillion shoes, tried on many, decided this pair...gonna try on again to see if I really, really like them Got a peddy for my tootsies, tanned and enjoyed my day out...quite warm today but I think it may rain tomorrow, not sure...

BBL to check on everyone.........we need results from kids games today...GO everyone

i'm back home , went out to dinner to a mexican joint tonight with mr mac.



i need to make a trip to my folks mid week.
we are burying my mom's brother on saturday in mt carmel.
he died on christmas day and was cremated. the winter was too bad to dig up the ground then so we postponed it until this month.


that's weird isn't it........

mac, will you drive to your parents? lots of times cremated remains are not buried or dispersed right at the time of the death. I know when my Dad died, he wanted cremation and asked us to take his cremanes to a particular place, and we weren't able to do it til about 3 weeks later.

my uncle and his wife have a family plot, as my parents do also, in mt carmel illinois.
to transport the body and have it held for the ground to thaw would not be a good thing. the funeral home did a cremation and set up the april date for the burial.
it will cost the family $1200 to have the grave reopened.
his first wife is buried there and his second wife is having my uncle buried next to wife number one. he remarried when he was 79.

he already had a marker on his plot.
just the death date was all that was needed for it.


i'll drive to my parents house and then take them to mt carmel.
i have rooms for us there so we can go and have a bed that night.
will be spending time with many of the relatives.

Good morning....so some of us spent the night in the Twilight Zone huh??

I was up around 2:30 for a couple hours...the state police helicopter was around here, not sure what they were doing, but the racket went on forever, then I couldn't get back to sleep, so I watched TV and around 5 dozed off til around 8ish.

Off to make some soup and stuff to have for the week........see ya later

sorry to hear, we had MIL cremated & buried - seemed weird to me; however, since i was paying it was cost effective

this morning my microwave died.......

i doubt i will be able to work this week.
have to find a new one and then find someone to take out the old one and put in the new one.

when i had my kitchen redone, i had the micro ordered to fit under the cabinets. that was 10 years ago so a lot has changed now and i need to get that started before i leave town.



it is not raining here today.
the sun is out but still need a jacket.

Mic--sorry I didn't check in yesterday and say:

Hope you had a great birthday!

Our games were cancelled due to the field conditions(we have had 3 inches of rain) so we went to the husker baseball game yesterday. We were out of the house by 8:30 am and didn't get back home until about 11pm last night. We were a tired family!!

Noah does have a game today though. We are about ready to head out to it. I really wanted to go and get some flowers and plant them today but I guess that will have to wait.

Thank you both for the cute wishes....love them both I got an adorable Mom~Mickey Mouse birthday card from son/grandson's....it is so cute...wonder why they picked that one

Oh geez, it is always something, at least a microwave isn't as expensive an item as a big appliance...good luck finding one and getting it installed...gosh, I was LOST when my microwave died...it was almost as bad as when the computer is down

Pam, we have had rain since last evening too, been quite heavy at times...it is a little brighter now then it has been all day...lots of thunder too...temps much cooler then yesterday, and a jacket is a must if going out.

I'm heading to the showers before settling down...didn't do a whole lot today and here it is 6:30 already

BUT...the RED SOX pulled another one out in late innings good game...I''m so enjoying that we got the Extra Innings thing on our cable...it's nice to be able to see every game or any one we want

Evening all!

Back from the ballgame. We had to stop for ice cream because the coach says he always buys the kids ice cream for their first win Noah's team won 12-7. My guy walked which he then scored, got a double, and stole home! He did a great job....mommy is very proud!!

Have to finish getting Aubrey out of the bath and get her to bed so I hope everyone has a good night!

Just got done watching some mindless fluff on TV....Celebrity Fit Club and the Rock of Love 2 Reunion, which turned out pretty entertaining, 2 of the gals got into a cat fight on stage
