Greetings all.... Happy Saturday

I found the 'new' boarding at Southwest to be more confusing as the old way, they don't seem to be too organized about it at all. My dh was fussing, because we are fans of lower fares but get frustrated at the whole boarding scene. Anyhoot, we got on, got seats and got here Glad I have the access here to check in online next week, just will have to have them print passes for us at airport. Hopefully will be back in the A group...

Please excuse Tricia from missing the Test thread for over a day. Her son was in a Kindergarten production Thursday night and then had to be taken to a doctor's appointment on Friday.

We are off to shop for Valentines. Wal-Mart on a Saturday afternoon. Pray for me.

Really just laying around, reading, napping, watching TV and vegging...I LOVE IT, although it works against my resolve not to eat junk, it is just begging for me to chow down on some junk food......

I am back from Wal Mart.

I have water filters, a new bike helmet for DS6, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, batteries (3 different kinds)... oh, I don't know... about $75 worth of crap.

BUT, guess what? No Valentines.

OMG! The humanity! I could not get anywhere near the THREE aisles that had the pink and red streamers dangling over them. It was insane! Shoulder to shoulder... people pushing... shoving... grabbing whatever had a heart on it. My kids may be scarred for life.

survived the lock in last night. Went and got my taxes done this morning not as good as i was hoping...i am thankful i don't have to pay any though.

Aubrey is down with a fever and a cough today so i gues i will be hanging low. I really wanted to get my errands done today but dave is taking the boys to a husker basketball game.

nothing worse than going to florida and having it lousy there.

my last trip sept/oct of 15 days, 8 of them rained. out of the 8, 5 were down pours and ruined the day for me.
i have never had that happen before in all the trips i have made to orlando.
used to the 3 pm showers but not the 5 hour storms.

afraid, lime beer doesn't sound too good to me right now, drank my better half under the carpet last night since i was miffed at him ; how about: "put the lime in the coconut, drink it all up?"

i got my anniversary present early, to placate the angry beastie I was evidently.

ain't it purty? tanzanite, was afraid to buy it while on the cruise (always think they're going to rip us off); came home & DH asked me to pick out a few pieces @ local jeweler...then he picked out something completely different!

ps - i bought him an air hammer & wrench...hey, it's what he wanted

off to make dinner (popcorn); we ate lunch @ Burger King...i can feel my arteries hardening

The lime beer is Chill by Miller and it isn't bad...you really don't taste the lime that much in it, I liked it for something different.

good morning friends, well, it cooled off nicely last night, and the sun is out, but it is a little cool, so our trek to the beach will be delayed a bit til it warms up a tad......I'll go to the beach with a jacket if need be... just to sit on it! Slept much better last night and feel more rested up this morning, thinking about a little breakfast.

RV Gal - I don't buy a ton of Valentines Day stuff for my kids too They each have a small heart box (approx. 7x7 and they get the same box every year) and I put some stuff in that for them. Outside of that, they get nothing else, and they are fine with that

Kshadow - I love the ring!!! It's very pretty!!! My DH wanted to get me something Tanzenite on our cruise last October, but we were nervous about it being real, so I understand your post about that.

i went to church and wore my coat the entire time.

then off to the grocery store for vittles to cook for din din tonight.



slo, yup it is cold here like it is where you are.
right now we are only minus 5 but the windchill is minus 30 still.

the road i take to church is open area around a field for part of it.
it was like a white out, couldn't see a thing.
but i did see the cops with the other cars that were in a ditch in that stretch.

they closed 90 up by my area in wisconsin. black ice caused many collisons and semi s in the ditch. it is closed all the way to madison now.

slo, stay warm when you go tonight. you will have so much fun.
the only bad part will be warming up your car in the evening when the event is over.

mic, take a jacket and go to the beach. the sun will warm your toosies.

I spend some time last night watching some old clips on YouTube from the old Dean Martin show, and for you youngin's posting here, I know you don't remember way back then, but it was some funny stuff without all the profanity and nudity of today, not that there is anything wrong with that, but it was a much simpler time and I think we laughed more! It was fun watching the 'old' days.

Mic - I am so glad you are enjoying your time in Fl. I am also glad you were able to have a laptop!! WHOO HOO Those old movies sound great. And you are right..I have no idea who that is, but that really isn't shocking.

Mac - thanks for covering me today at church. I did an hour on the ellipitcal and then I went to the grocery store all hot and sweaty. I'm sorry you had to wear a coat the whole time. I'm miserable when I am cold so I can only imagine how it was for you.

Lori - Are you calling me unattractive? I know what you mean, positive attitude goes a long way to helping you enjoy your day. I have to say I notice with Nico, when he is active, he seems to be in a better mood than when he isn't playing a sport.

Keisha - You have a winner!! That ring is gorgeous!!

Slo - I hope the show was a hit. Were you able to stay warm?

Tricia and Barb - I go every Sunday to Walmart after working out. I have to go with a list, otherwise I leave spending way more than I need. Im like that at Target too.

BTW - I don't do valentines with my kids. We may make heart cookies or brownies and sometimes we all go out to dinner, but that is about it for me.

Pam - is Aubrey feeling any better?

TVT - I have no idea which story to tell about Sam. I will be happy to share the one where Julie Kicked your bootie on the Wii. Oh..she said you are one of her favorite people to play with

There were two stories with Sam. The first morning, Samantha had school, but she did not want to go. So I told her ok, just come to the gym with me. NOPE..NO WAY!! All she wanted to do was stay home with Grandpapa Tony. Then she wanted to have lunch at Red Robin (her favorite restaurant with Grandpapa Tony.

When I got back from the gym I was all stinky. So I showered and changed and I came downstairs and Sammie says, "Mommy, did you want to go to Red Robin with Grandpapa Tony and me?" When did I become a last minute invite?

The second one was that Lee picked Tony up from the airport since he was downtown anyway. I had to run out to pick up pictures for Julie's school project, so they got home just before we did. When we pulled up, Samantha shouts "Look look it's Grandpapa Tony. I LOVE Grandpapa Tony." She couldn't get out of the car fast enough as she was jumping over Nico and Julie to be the first one out of the car. She jumped into his arms and gave him a huge hug.
