test Part 10

Evening my friends....oh dear, someone has a tooth ouchy....yuck and I know what you mean about that taste....how about years ago when they put silver fillings in your teeth... I remember those and they tasted yucky too when newly filled.

DWTS's....first elimination was some gal that is a Sports Illustrated model, she was not a dancer in the making...they got 16 points outta 30:scared: Second for least votes was Mark Cuban and his partner...personally, I thought Wayne Newton should have been one of the bottom 2, he is not very graceful or shows much rhythm...surprising to me for someone so involved in music. His body is kind built weird anyhoot...:p Jane Seymour was good, as was Jennie Garth, the Cheetah girl Sarah I think her name is, was great and Marie Osmond was ok...the race car driver Helios was GREAT...he really surprised me, the boxer...ehhh. Try and watch tonight, this season has some very good dancers.

Yes, I hope the dr. doesn't start off on a litany of tests he wants done :headache: but I can almost see it coming. When I went in for my blood work for my foot surgery, he starting saying about the colonoscopy...eewwweeee.....don't like that idea...I don't care so much about the test itself, I do not like being put to sleep.

Morning GET UP, GET UP, GET UP...IT'S TIME TO SHAKE A TAIL FEATHER

Well, sorry about that wake up call, but it IS Tuesday, the week is moving along:upsidedow

Off I go, hope everyone has a good start. Hope the vacationers are still enjoying themselves...sucks to be us left behind  but somene must hold the fort down.....::cop:

i know mac's having a swell time:thumbsup2 ; imagine ocm & grandpa;) are too...wonder if the munchins wore him out yet?

ed - was this the perp yesterday?

pam - glad the bad tooth isn't given you any problems, must get that bad boy put to bed. dentist keeps telling me if only i'd spring for the custom-made mouthpiece (apparently I grind my teeth ala a mad dog when i sleep:guilty: ) it would solve all my woes...on my to-do list as soon as i fall into that stray pile of money.

mic - unless they've changed the sedation, it's more of a twilight state they place you in...you're awake & functioning; just don't remember any of the gory details. Snap right out of it but; they don't allow you to drive yourself home; may be sorta sleepy the rest of the day. KWYM; that particular test is the one they start bugging you to have every 10 years or so once you hit the big 5-0. DH has thus far refused sez "it's an exit, not an entrance":rolleyes1

No decorations up yet, perhaps today i'll get off my duff & get to it.

have a great day!

Is today really the day?

Happy Birthday Shout Out to Gant!:dance3:

I think they make some of those teeth grinder gaurds. Wal-mart had them when i worked there. Don't know if they work but maybe it would be worth a try.

Morning girls, looks like it's just us's carrying on...

RedneckBirthdayPresent.jpg

Love ya Gant, ENJOY

KS, that is hilarious that dh calls it an exit, not an entrance....I feel exactly the same way, and he put it into words for me :rotfl2: My DIL wears one of those teeth thingys...and my gs should get one, he grinds his teeth so hard, it wakes me up and sounds like metal rubbing together:eek: I don't grind, but I clench, sometimes I wake up with a headache from that...ick...like I said, hell to grow old

afternoon kiddies....wow...it's after 3 p.m....today has gone by rather quickly...now the last 2 hrs. will drag I'm sure...but I'm fairly caught up, so I can play for a bit:banana:

:rotfl: looks like Leroy could've used a mouthguard too.:lmao: I stuck my DSs football mouthguards in a few times; feels like I was suffocating - no thank you very much.;)

all this talk about tests:idea: reminded me that DH needed to get blood work done; was a good excuse for him to cancel last checkup; drug him off...bribed him with lunch @ Red Robin:banana: . You gals got them in your neck of the woods? their bonzai burger is to die for - drool; i'm stuffed. Rest of family's getting a couple cans of healthy select opened.:rolleyes1 the cook is off duty today.

Received my "free sample" 5 oz bags of Dale & Thomas popcorn i ordered the other day, one's carmel- other chocolate-something or other. Was going to use them in someone's Xmas bags; not sure if they'll make it that long based on the pic i'm eyeing up in the catalogpopcorn:: I don't usually buy gourmet anything...anyone try them before?

evening all!

just got back from Trent's last football game. They lost 16-0...not a good game...total different team from last week:confused3

Got a call tonight...seems that Noah made the traveling team...you know what that means? Twice as much running around this summer:scared1: Haven't heard about Trent yet but i think he probably made it.

How many salman do you think gant has caught?:fish:

KS....when dh and I drove down to VA a couple weekends ago for our mini-getaway, there was a Red Robin....looked interesting from the outside, but I had the gc for Longhorn Steakhouse, so we ate there...I need to try that Red Robin...we never get anything close to us, it's always 25 miles away...grrrrrrrrrr

Did some work remotely at my home computer tonight, simply because it was driving me nuts not being able to concentrate on it at work (I'm attempting formulas on Excel......hard to teach an old dog computer tricks..:sad1: ) and I think I GOT IT finished......so I'm off to watch TV for a bit.

Dr. appt. for me at 10:30 tomorrow, so I'll be sure and let you know what has been probed and what is going on :thumbsup2 I'll drop in to say good morning before going to work...will go to Dr. from there, lot of backtracking, but figure I can work 1.5 hr. before leaving.

good luck tomorrow mic.

ks--we do have red robin in Lincoln and Omaha...My friend and I just ate there a couple of weekends ago:thumbsup2 I like the bbq chicken wrap...it's YUMMY!!

off to look into the disney thing AGAIN:sad2: I usually like planning but this is getting to be something else.

Wake Up-Now, Don't Make Me Come Back Up Those Steps Again!:yay:

Since i was 1st checking in, figured we needed a wake-up call...the above is what i usually resort to with my DS:laughing:

We're finally getting a Sonic in our town too:) ; only ate there once when we stayed in Lumberton:scared: on way down to Myrtle Beach one year. They had servers on roller skates, think i was a hamburger-joint/ice cream. Always nice to have an option. Weird thing is we have all these places opening near the mall that are more "upscale"; yet we don't have a Burger King/Wendys or even McDs (unless you consider the one in WM) for takeout; odd. No handy video tape rental sites either. If i had a gazillion bucks i'd open a blockbuster franchise!

pam - oooh, i luv planning trips - anywhere;) . Usually, redo them several times and have a couple different hotel ressies going until i decide. Of course, i don't even want to think about the logistics of planning for a big group (probably, with lots of different ideas).

mic - i tried Excel once:headache: ; that is just awesome that you've conquered it on your own.:cheer2:

perhaps today will be the day i decorate. Did get my skeleton flamingos done, will post pics soon.

morning all!

mic--i'll be thinkin' of you while you are at the drs. today.

KS--everyone tells me I live in the sticks!!! WE even have a McD's, burger king, and a wendy's(if we drive across the river into iowa about 5-10 minutes) We have a sonic in the neigboring town which dave sometimes brings home for me since that is part of his route...try the onion rings...they are YUMMY!

I do like planning trips if everyone can make up their minds. One family wants the bottom dollar and to keep cost low and one family wants to go all out. We are a happy medium. I don't see the reason to do the premium dining as i would think that would be WAY to much food, but one family wants to do that and cash in more table service for the more expensive restaurants. I told her to do whatever she wants to do on that....it wouldn't matter to us. If we stay on property we are limited to what hotels we stay at since we are a family of 5 and both of the other family are 4 or 5 w/ small child so they can stay anywhere which is causing a little problem too. It is just stuff like that I am dealing with:confused3

mic - hope everything went ok:wizard:

pam - it's about a 1/2 hour round trip for us to McDs (of course now longer due to long-going road construction - could take an hour @ rush hour); since we do take out i'm not dealing w/cold fries lol.

Spent afternoon with HP techs via phone (Meresh & Ashu:thumbsup2 ) need new card reader; least it's under warranty.

I've typed out a reply 3 times and lost it 3 times:mad: because people will not leave me alone here at work...grrr

Dr. visit went ok, he concurs I may have the diverticulitis going on, but has referred me to a gastro doctor...it is one I'm familiar with so I feel ok with going to him...and I know what will be next on the list...the dreaded probe:scared1: but I need to find out what the problem is, and hope there is nothing else going on...these things can develop into bigger problems so I guess being safe is better than ending up sorry. Decided also to fit in the 'girl' doctor as my deductible is met and may as well shoot the whole wad before the end of the year. Gastro doc is next week, 'girly' doc is in November...and I'm sure I'll be heading to the hospital for an 'in and out' probe in between :upsidedow

Our little town has a Domino's, Subway, McD's and Roy Rogers....we need to travel to the 'city' for the other stuff....I've never ate at Sonic, they are around here but not close...my son who lives in the desert has all this stuff close to him too.......we don't even have a Chili's close by :confused3 Did I mention (too lazy to read back) that a mall in Hagerstown is getting a Yankee Candle Store??? ticks me off....our mall never gets the good stuff....grrr....

Ok, almost time to run......:dance3:

mic - great, positive attitude:thumbsup2 ; i agree - if the deductible's met - go for broke & put all those looming tests to bed! I'm so glad i finally switched over to a plan that doesn't have them; of course, i should've done it when my kids were going to the Pediatrician every month or so.

Just saw a bit on ABC evening news; new VR?type of colonoscopy supposedly works just as well as the traditonal ones do. Think it's the one where you swallow a camera:scared1: (a small pea sized one lol). Wonder if insurance would pay for that bad boy? I'll just have to wait & see, all in the name of science.;)

I believe we do have a Yankee Candle store in mall, don't think i've ever smelled one? Friend sold Home Interior products for many years...i've got candles out my ears. Same ones the school fundraisers always seem to sell. They are just okay as to scent imo. How are the YC ones?

Insomnia has me, so I'm here on a nocturnal visit :goodvibes

Well, swallowing a camera would be interesting:)

Yankee Candles are wonderful, they smell so good. I tend to lean more towards spicey or fruity fragrances. There are a few flowery one's I like, but I'm not into rose smelling ones......right now I have Cider Donut that is good and I love Harvest, that is about my favorite. They are pricey, but always have some sort of sale going on. I sold Home Interiors products many moons ago, I just saw a catalog, they have come a long way in their products. Pam, do you still do your In Home stuff?

Ok, back to bed for me. That is what I get for turning the lights out at 9:30, but I was so tired....guess it was a trade off cause now I'm awake.

GOOD MORNING

and lo and behold it is Thursday:banana: Not much of a fun filled weekend coming up, more cleaning for me, but at least it's the weekend!! This is our town's Railroad Days...lots of junk and food around downtown, so our little girl wants to come over so she and dh can walk down and check stuff out. She loves picking through the junk tables and buying some 25 cent treasure:goodvibes

See ya a little later....KS, get those decorations sorted today :goodvibes
