test Part 10

Chris got chosen to be in the Gateway Program at school. The teachers have to nominate them for the program and only 4 kids from his class of 20 something are going. They meet for an hour a day 2 or 3 times a week and they also have to make up any work they miss while away from his classroom. He was very proud of himself as were his parents. :cool1:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Way to go Chris!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

ed--that is awsome! You have every right to be proud!!!:woohoo:

SEE, I just knew that Tony was up to no good.....:lmao: those thongs, they get you in trouble every time :rotfl2: Don't worry Tony, we'll come visit if you have an extended stay at the jail-otel...the only thing, that pink thong is gonna clash with your orange suit:upsidedow Don't fret though, we will bake a cake with a file in it if we have to, we take care of our own you know :goodvibes Watch out for anyone calling you sweetlips or asking to borrow your soap....

Heck, I'm doing stuff that involves Excel and have been teaching it to myself as much as I can. Oh well, I will quit whining about it, does good to vent a bit and then move on....:thumbsup2

It is not just you. My email notifications have stopped again. It takes forever to load a thread and sometimes takes forever to post on one. I gotta say this last upgrade seems like a downgrade to me!

Have a terrific day everyone!

Afternoon all, that is part of my reason for not posting much in the morning, it takes too long to load from page to page or to post a reply, and I'm very short on time when I check in before leaving for work...hence not much posting from me...can't take the time to sit around

YAY for your son Ed, that is awesome, smart little cookie he is :cool1: I'm sure you are/were proud about the news

Mac, I meant staying awake past 9:30 or so to watch the show...I usually drift off around then...I try to have lights out by 10:30, 6:30 is early for someone not real thrilled with getting up and ready for work, so I need all the beauty rest I can muster ;)

I bounced back and forth between Idol and Biggest Loser, have rest of Idol to watch that I taped...really, it is funny, but it gets on my nerves after about the first hour of such silliness. The guy in the dress thingy was just weird as was the guy singing the stalking song to Paula, I was glad when Simon asked to have him removed from the room, he was bizarre. I don't get that this is an audition, then they have film from at home of these people? what's up with that. BLoser was good last night, I love seeing these people work so hard and get good results and drop those pounds. I usually feel bad when someone leaves, but last night I was glad they voted for the couple they did and glad to see them gone.

i'm gonna give up.
it's taking too long to post now.

watch ai tonight
be there
or
be square

you done good dad:thumbsup2

Good evening everone. Hope you all had a wonderful day. I had to attend a 2008 year beginning celebration for my company. (I guess it's a French thing) Now I'm all for parties and such, but they bussed us 30 minutes away to a ritzy venue, heard a big-wig talk for an hour, questions and answers for an hour, eat lunch (buffet for 1000 employees) and bus back to work just in time to end the day.

So far I have attended 3 year end celebrations and 1 new year celebration. I lost a headcount today because one of my loading dock guys was promoted to another group. (It's a good thing but I cannot backfill the position due to a hiring freeze). My thought was to tell the big-wig if I could have the money it cost for todays party, I could fund a full time employee for a year with benefits. Makes no sense to me.:confused3

Anyway, congrats to Chris. Ed you have every right to brag. That's fantastic.

Mic, you underestimate (as most managers do) the importance of the secretary (admins). I hold a meeting every quarter with all of the admins on both of my sites. Most of the time I feed them too. They have their finger on the pulse of the company. I have found out many things by befriending the admins and I know not to screw with them.

Pam, nice cookies!:rolleyes1

Tony, if you run into a guy named Bubba in the joint, run away fast!!!:scared1:

Mac, hope the issues with the DIS clear up soon.

KS, OCM, Bob......:wave2:

Evening all....hey Gant, good to see ya:hug: yep, we gals out in the trenches see and hear alot...everyone is buzzing by me all day long, so I get a lot of peripheral static that I file away ;) Like I said, it will all work out, today was another stinker-roo day, I just felt at the bottom of the food chain for some reason, but I'm determined that it will improve and I'll eventually get what I've been promised. I know I can be replaced just like that, but I don't honestly think anyone ever thinks about all the little things I do for everyone in a day's time...there, I patted myself on the back and I feel good :upsidedow

AMEN, I agree with what companies spend on froo-froo stuff, they could give everyone a raise or like you said, employ and benefit someone for at least a year. I saw the bill we got for chairs that were purchased for upstairs, almost $13,000.00  Now I know you gotta spend to get something that won't fall apart 6 months after people use them, but come on, $13,000?? and paid coaches were working with a bunch of the staff, at $250.00 an hour with usually a 2.5 to 3 hour session :scared1: but, that is the corporate way to do things I guess, forget the little people that keep the squeeky wheels running smoothly.

Bob, have you started back to work yet?

Isn't that the truth. Rediculous what they will spend on stuff like that when they are laying people off or have hiring freezes. It makes not sense/

I think idol likes the weirdos showing up makes for good tv, if they didn't put them on they wouldn't bother showing up.

mic: hope your weather is not bad.
AI was disappointing for me last night.

afternoon all!

We had a 2 hr. late start for school today so with parents coming to drop off their kids and trying to get my kids out the door and trying to find a way for trent to get to school it has been a little crazy. All should calm down now as it is almost naptime:banana: (Pam's favorite part of the day:rolleyes: )

Mic--sounds like you guys are going to get what we were suppose to get. We ended up with about 5 inches of snow and wind. Hope you guys don't get the ice stuff.

Mac--here i is!!! Just had a crazy morning is all.

ed--love your rise!

gant--hope you have a good day too. Now does that make your department really short on help?

ocm--did you hit the gym today?

ks--hope you feel better:hug:

bob--well, atleast you'll be able to spend the summer with your kids:rolleyes: I hope they get on the ball for you and you get back to work soon. I bet ryan will miss you though. Remeber, a couple of wormburners for me;)
