My mom always does this and always de-magnetizes her keys. I carry mine separate from my phone and other credit cards and don't have the problem w/ them becoming blank. Please don't flame me....just wondering if that had anything to do with the problem because that happens to my mom on our trips. I keep our key cards completely separate in my pocket.![]()

I'm glad the manager at POR came through for you in that way.

- taking over 1 hour checking in (no line up) because I had a continuing reservation bc you need two reservations if you are staying more than 10 nights
- finding out that even though I called and confirm my reservations that I only had 1 room for the whole stay and the other room they say I only booked for half the stay
- my 4 year old daughter finding cracker crumbs, lego, and a prescription pill under the bed that she thought was candy (staff didn't care)
- unfriendly housekeeping staff
- when my first reservation was up I was told to throw away our first key to the world cards because we would be issued new ones, found out later that these were our passes and we couldn't get into parks
- issued new cards which also didn't work and key cards which didn't open our rooms
- charging privileges didn't work all the time
- wasting alot of my time standing in lines with guest relations, front desk staff
- our room was far from the main building
I will never go to a moderate disney hotel again. Also considering not returning to a Deluxe.

DarkSideMoon said:dont let this bother you, i have stayed there 5-6 times, never had a bad experience
DarkSideMoon said:we stay there fairly frequently, never had a bad experience, i cant explain the reservations, but is it possible they just didnt sweep well enough under the bed? although the not caring staff is a little odd. with the room keys- some times it is not on the key, most of the time actually. how was the staff supposed to know? and it is coomon for the keycards to demagnetize in your wallet, i have had it happen before. with your room being far- you knew what you were booking when you chose to stay there, would you rather they stick another family there so YOU could be closer to the main building? it is luck of the draw unless you pay for an upgrade.
shezfrombermuda said:It is possible that they never look under the beds, never mind clean under them.
As I said before, we couldn't possible demagnetize 27 cards.
I don't know what you mean by saying "it is not on the key, most of the time actually. how was the staff supposed to know?"
