I just had to share because after I woke up it made me giggle, but I had the WORST dream about Disneyland last night!! I went for a trip and in my dream the whole park was all like rusty and faded and falling apart. Half the rides weren't working and for some reason there was astroturf everywhere! :confused3 :rotfl: It was terrible! It seemed so real too! (my dreams are always very realistic)! There was NO magic anywhere. So sad. I was insanely grateful to wakeup though and realize it was all a horrible bad dream! Life is not worth living without my happy place, ya know?! I KNOW you all know! HA! :lmao: Crazy the games our heads will play with us sometimes. :rotfl2:

Sounds like Dreamland. Nara Dreamland.

I remember when I was younger I had a Disneyland nightmare on the eve of a trip. I dreamt that the park had devolved into some Chuck Cheese-lite family fun center in a business park. Strangely enough, that nightmare made the actual trip better. I guess it lowered my expectations.

The dream I always have is that I have been at DLR for days and still haven't made it into the park! In my dream it is usually 1 hour before we need to leave for the airport and I am frantically trying to get my family out the door and over to the park so we can at least go on a ride before we leave, lol.

Dream is likely rooted in the fact that on the 2nd day our last trip I spent 2 days in the hotel room on my back, after slipping in the bathroom at Mimi's and tearing some cartilage around my ribs- ARRRRGGGG. What a waste! Spent an entire day cringing around the park, trying to remain perfectly upright, before giving up and going to the dang emergency room at the crack of dawn the next morning, which happened to be, wait for it, VALENTINE'S DAY! The next day was our anniversary, so I dragged myself out of the bed and did my best to celebrate, but the Vicodin the hospital gave me made me nauseous, so I yacked my way through DL- thank goodness for the first aid place and their numerous barf bags, lol.

Can you imagine, being *that guest*, puking your way through the happiest place on Earth? :rotfl2: My husband calls it our National Lampoon's Disney Vacation. My brother got his leg run over by a wheelchair and spent a day in the ER also, so our trip back to the airport was pretty funny~ "hey, there's my hospital", and "hey, there's mine". My mom didn't think it was very amusing, but the rest of us had a good laugh.

National Lampoon's Disney Vacation!! :lmao: So sooo funny. Sucks that you had that experience, but glad you can laugh about it now. I am sure it was NOT funny at all at he time!

What a terrible dream! Isn't it nice to wake up and know that it isn't real, though?

Sorry to hear about your bad trip! I hope you've had some good ones since! At least you have an excuse for that type of dream. I've had similar ones, where my party is stuck in the garage or we're in the park, but never get on any attractions or to any shops (I'm a local, so I do day trips). Usually there is some other reason things need to happen quickly, like I have school or work later in the day. In the really bad ones, I'm separated from my (now deceased in real life, but alive in the dream) disabled little sister, who is all alone somewhere else in the park, sometimes stuck on a broken ride. The park is usually dark, grey and rusting in those ones. Kind of like Honeybee1983's dream.

Sounds like you've been playing the Wii game Epic Mickey!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Every so often, especially when I'm stressed, I have a dresm where the park is dark and all the rides are soooo scary. And to top it all off I am usually searching for one of my kids. I'm always so happy to wake up from those and realize it's a dream! I am there a lot too since I'm local and I hate seeing it in my dreams that way. I know the dreams stem from other life stressers and it's not really about DLR but I wish the "bad" park could be some other place!

Isn't that funny though? So I guess for those of us who do have these creepy dreams, Dland literally IS our "happy place" in our heads and when we are feeling stressed or whatever in life, our "happy place" gets screwed up. Wow. deep. lol

Some folks here would have you believe that you visited WDW in your sleep......

Craziness. Wow. Sounds like my last experience there.

My recurring dream is very similar to this. DL is about to close and it's the last day of my trip but I haven't done anything yet! Either we're still at the hotel or I get lost walking down strange dark roads trying to find the park. And once we get there I can't get anyone to go on any rides. We just walk through what looks like a dusty county fair!:worried:

My reoccurring dream is also similar in some aspects... in my constantly reoccurring dreams we are always on our LAST day at the parks yet I remember nothing about the days prior... :( We have yet to go on the Haunted Mansion ride, and can't seem to ever get to 'that' area of the park, which in my dream is almost like a whole other park away. For some reason, it is a bit of a weird water ride, and looks totally different.

Splash Mountain is my favorite ride, and the Haunted Mansion is enjoyable but not my favorite.

Somehow in my dream we are always at LAX but can still buy a few Disneyland treats at various counters, however, inevitably they are too lined up. I end up just at the right gate for my flight, but alas, my flight has gone. :( I then try to convince the air carrier to fly me back on the next flight, even though I was late. It usually ends there. :(

The only other reoccurring dreams that I have are high school, writing finals but not having gone to the class at at all...and ... high school... finding my locker, but never knowing the combination.

OP... the fact you dreamed DL was rusted and faded means you want to go back, and see for yourself what it is like after the Cars Land has been built, yes? :yay:

Kinda makes you wonder...will DL always be there?
