Does anyone know anything about the resort? It looks nice and we are considering one place there and one place at Windsor Palms.

Can anyone help me with any info on the Terre Verde Resort?

Thanks

Ooookk. This kind of worries me. So no one knows anything about this place?

New development by the same builders who did emerald island resorts. It is located of Poinciana blvd (Spelling). It is very nice I hear. Have not been out there myself.

and lovely:) We were a "drive through looky loo";);)

I'd just make sure to double check with the owner about any nearby construction::yes::

Have fun!!

:sunny:

We returned yesterday from a 3 night stay at a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom townhouse.
It was nice to have all the space and to have a kitchen and laundry area. It was nicely furnished but I am pretty sure it is an investment property furniture package, not upgraded. But I liked it. It was comfy and clean. The towels smelled wonderful.
I was just a bit disappointed by the community amenities. I couldn't find the sandy beach or the hammocks but I may have not looked in the right place.
The development is secured with gates an a manned guard house which is good.
Check in was fine and we were granted a late check out free of charge.
All in all I would stay there again.

We passed it on our way to and from Cumbrian Lakes, so I can tell you the Poiciana Blvd (not sure of spelling either) area is really nice. There's a new (clean) Super Walmart straight though the main intersection and we had a pretty good meal at the Perkins on the corner late one night. It's close to an outlet mall and just about every chain restaurant imaginable, but down the road where the villas are, it's quiet and peaceful. Terre Verde's entrance was lit up pretty at night and looked like a very safe and nice place to stay. If I found a villa there I liked, I wouldn't hesitate to book it. Hope this helps a little. Have fun planning.

Denisenh,

We are considering staying here over the holidays, but I am having a hard time getting info.

Can you tell me about your pool (approx. size and depth). What was the bedding in the townhouse you stayed any.

Thanks so much!!!

The private pools seem to be located on the end unit townhouses. The middle townhouses have courtyards with spas.
Ours was about 20' by 12 feet 3ft - 5 ft deep. It had a brick deck and was screened in.

The townhouse that we stayed in was 4 bedrooms 3 baths.

Double bed in the down stairs bedroom.
Two bedrooms with 2 twin beds each and one with a double (It may have been queen) upstairs. (My teen took that one)

It is a quiet area off Ponciana. There is a community pool and playground area.

I would say that Terra Verde is a nice place for a family that likes quiet. It is not what I would consider an upscale place with a lot of activity. Just clean and nice.

Be happy to answer any other questions.

We are staying at the Chelseavilla in TerraVerde at the end of March.... looks very nice and peacefull! Does anyone know what the cab fare would be to Disney from here?

We stayed here last year a couple of times with our kids and it was fantastic. :cheer2:

The kids were able to take themsleves off to the clubhouse for a game of basketball or pool, they made loads of friends. It was nice to have a concierge to point us in the direction of the nearest supermarket or gas station, although our owner was brilliant and gave us loads of information.

The home itself was gorgeous and I would recommend Terra Verde to anyone! They were just finishing building the very last villa when we were over in August and the resort really does have an upscale feel to it now.

I don't know what the cab fair would be but we clocked the journey to the gates of Disney at 10 minutes. It was only 7 miles via the Osceola Parkway!

Hi suds, we also stayed there last year and thought it was fabulous. We have stayed in villas before but this was the first time we have been on a proper vacation villa resort. It made such a difference for the kids, in the past the villas have all been in residential areas and I can not fault them, but it is such a bonus for kids having the resort facilities. Although the villa we had had it's own pool, the kids liked going down to the resort pool and clubhouse so they could meet others their own age.

It certainly isn't Butlins, which I think is probably a good thing, but compared to a residential villa I will always go for a resort one from now on as it has such a better atmosphere with everyone on vacation and there is so much more for the kids to do (and it is safer as it is gated).

We are going to go back to Florida this May and will try to find a villa there again as we liked it so much.

.

It is fairly new community - not sure if all the communal features are complete yet.But they do look great...just wonder how used they ever et.I know when I go to Disney I spend most of the times in parks.
Do guests like alot of communal features too when they are looking for their rental homes ?

Lynn

It will be approx $40 return try beldings@verizon.net and mension Lynn

Hi Lynn

When we were there the resort seemed to be completely finished, however they were waiting on a new owner taking over the bar by the pool so that was closed and they were selling drinks from the desk inside instead.

We used the facilites a lot, but we have young kids and it is a bit much to go to the parks every other day with them, so we tend to have rest days, they seem to appreciate the parks more that way too.

Some days there were a lot around the pool and others it was quiet - I think the traditonal busy days for the parks the resort was quieter.

I will definitely only ever rent a villa at a resort community from now on having done it last time, and hope to go back to Terra Verde this year.

Hi,
Do you remember if there are safes in the villas for your valuables (ie passports and cash) while your out and about?

All homes are privatly owned and have their own amenities. We provide a safe and it is listed in our homes amenities page on our web site. When renting a home ask the owner or man/co if one is in the home for your use.
