Terminator 2 - 3D to close in October

dont wait until the 8th to see it.
i always find the ride that is closing gets crowds that last day they operate

like the ride or not, it usually draws crowds in on closing day.

Well, some of us will be there when it closes. So, I guess I will jump in and see it one last time before the day it closes.

Yeah, it may be fun and stuff on that final day, but final days of attractions tend to be cursed!
Universe of Energy closed early because of technical issues and Dragon Challenge had to stop running because of rain.
I'll try to do it early that last day or the day before, just in case.

Buut, if videos are any indication of other attractions, it definitely will probably be more fun to watch with crowds enthusiastic to be there.

Kind of shocked it lasted as long as it did to be honest. Will have to get one last show in while I'm down there in a few weeks

We'll be at UO 9/26-10/4 so glad we'll be able to do it again before it closes.

Think it's about time for this one to go. The franchise isn't really that relevant anymore and the show has aged pretty poorly. Was there for a trip last fall and thought it was just ok, not a waste of time but no desire to see it agian. My teen son couldn't have cared less about it. Just cruous to see what takes it's place

To take a left turn off the idea that it's a show:

There were rumors months ago suggesting that Universal was considering replacing Terminator with a permanent Walking Dead "Haunted House" similar to the one at Universal Hollywood. Those rumors remain unconfirmed, but I'd like to point out the fact that "High Energy live action experience" doesn't automatically mean it's a show. That description also fits a haunted house.

In fact I'd almost say the fact they use the word "experience" suggests it's something other than a show.

Anyway, I brought this up on the Universal Facebook group and other people noted they specify it's a Universal franchise (which Walking Dead technically isn't) which may be a fly in the ointment... BUT... it could theoretically still be something similar using a Universal franchise, like The Purge or Dark Universe. *Shrug*

OR this rumor is completely off base, and it's a show, haha.

I would love if this was true. I enjoy haunted attractions and if there can be a strong quality one like that year round there then that would be awesome.

The other main attraction i coudl see that could be fun would be a show/simulator themed to Sing! Could make the outside look like the Moon Theatre, and woudl fit in as it's the Hollywood area. Then make the queue or pre0show area be the lobby. Have the show start of with following Mike being chased out of the theatre and around the streets by the bears, then racing back to the theatre for the show. Then have the singing competition with some 4d effects. Shaking for Meena dancing and air burst to simulate Ash's quills flinging into the audience. The only thing that makes me doubt this is the live action comment. Msot commetns I see form people involve Dreamworks/Illumination franchises, but these don't fit the live action part.

I'm not surprised. I went to it back in 2010 and had no desire to revisit it when I went back this past July (apart from browsing the gift shop). The gift shop it opens up in is very comic-oriented now like the Marvel Super Hero Island shops, only with DC Comics and Walking Dead merch (even has statues of Henry Cavill's Superman and Christian Bale's Batman), hardly any Terminator stuff there now.

I would love for Universal to make a DC Comics attraction for the Universal Studios part, given the live-action element. But since it is an explicitly Universal property (and that Six Flags has first dibs on Warners' DC properties), guess that's out.

Saw this during my vacation last year. I love live action stuff and was pretty underwhelmed. I did enjoy the pre-show lady and thought the big poof of smoke at the end was the best part of the show lol. My travelling companion just kept saying how corny it was (and it was, but I'm into that).

Were the terminators supposed to move? During the show I went to they just kind of turned slowly from side to side.

the robots on the sides of the audience had a bit of movement.
moving a bit with the guns firing.

none of them were repaired when they stopped working correctly.
